Another key makes for an interesting rumour engine... would be cool if it was another warhammer quest where the animals with keys represent unlocked chambers or something like that. Allthough I think the warhammer quest models tend to not have sculpted bases. That is something we always see in underworlds models though...
I’m hoping a lot of these advent calendar pictures will be revealed once te calendar is done.

the mortals release is building up to be the release I was hoping for when te hedonists were released and ended up being just daemons. I guess I’ll be starting a new Slaanesh army all over again. Just when I thought I had build everything for Slaanesh I wanted...

It was discussed a few pages back, we’ve already seen this card. It is suspected to be some sort of corrupting bone armor on the kurnothi. So probably not a hint of a new warband.

I’m hopefull there will be some basic troops looking like the new underworlds warband. I love the Persian vibe and really enjoy painting a lot of cloth areas. A mounted option would be nice, I wonder if they’ll be on regular horses. Probably not.
I also hope the full Slaanesh mortals range gets a release soon. That they are in the new warcry books bodes well I guess?

Really like the new Slaanesh mini. This Slaanesh mortals release is shaping up really nice. The gold calf reference with this headpiece is really nice. I’m already thinking about some conversions using the alarith cow helms with those new Slaanesh warriors we saw earlier.
the middle eastern vibe is spot on for me and an interesting new look for the mortals.-

So the new Slaanesh mortals are exactly the esthetic I like and have been trying to recreate for the past years. And it seems there will be more.
they didn’t say anything about when they will be released though? Probably beginning next year... also not clear how it ties in with broken realms. Allthough obviously it ties in with the newborn. -

I actually really like some of the reboots, AoS-ified and turned up to 13.
I’ve been waiting on new high elves since AoS got announced. But now that te Lumineth are here and I’ve got one of their kits I realized this doesn’t fill the hole the high elves left. I really like some of the Lumineth models, but it just isn’t the same and I guess they aren’t meant to be. Nostalgia is an odd thing I guess.
since AoS I’ve used all the freedom it grants to go all in on my own slaaneshi elves. Making story driven conversions based around a story of an art loving elf lord who tried to become a daemon in order to survive the end times and keep on loving his art collection. Allthough this project feels almost finished, I still really like Slaanesh as a faction and I am looking forward to new mortals. Because they don’t need to feed my nostalgia, I can get way more excited about them.

This seems very Slaaneshi and it has a lot that reminds me of Sigvald. The eleborate sword that can be seen in te silhouette and the shapes in the armour.
I’m really looking forward to this preview. I’ve been creating my own slaaneshi elves for a while now and that project feels complete. But I still love me some Slaanesh. I’m really hoping we’ll see a lot more Slaanesh mortals. The current daemon design doesn’t really speak to me but these mortal designs are amazing.

The decay part is probably 40k if decadence is AoS only. Would be a little selfish to think te whole preview is for AoS, right😬

So does Slaanesh get free or does he give birth to a new god-child? Or both?
I’m cautiously hoping the next book will continue with this Slaanesh storyline and we’ll see some new models (mortals) with it.

man, some massive spoilers flying around... this book seems to move the story forward a lot! gotta say I'm getting a lot more excited reading some of the things to come. Let's not dwell on why 40k isn't moving forward, but rejoice in how AOS is:)
gotta say I'm a little surprised how much of the content of the lore is already spilled by these reviews flying around.

Would love to finally see Slaanesh mortals. Te firecracker warband absolutely nails the look. The archer and The dude with te glaive look pretty similar. Would love a box of these with options for both bows or hand weapons, similar to the acolytes for Tzeentch. The Persian vibe is perfect.
but I’d say te release of Slaanesh would be a good starting point for a new edition. It makes sense mortals make an appearance then. Because with slaanesh gone for so long it seems odd many mortals would worship him.-

Love this one, excellent conversion. You’ve kept the good parts and improved it. It’s almost more of a hippogriph now.

I get the frustration on the price, I find myself buying less because of it. But there are already threads on this were people have worded their frustrations in a very constructive way and looked at the situation from several angles. Resulting in a pretty good discussion. I don’t see the point of starting new threads which are mostly ment to complain and be negative. I don’t think that is a healthy development for this forum.

No one could know if this foreshadows a new unit of swordmasters down the line, but something to keep in mind, The tower of Hoeth was described as being not just a place of learning, but a vault of knowledge designed to survive even the destruction of the word and be the legacy of the aelves. In multiple places throughout the old world lore the Tower was described as being so well magically protected that it could survive the destruction of the world, that its purpose was specifially to outlast the Aelves. Could be cool if the tower did survive and is somewhere in the mortal Realms
I like this train of thoughts. Would be nice to see the white tower survive. Although it may be just a mention in the background. The tower imagery is very obvious on this model though.
I'm hoping the head is a separate piece, so a head swap is easy (allthough I'll just as easily cut it).

I’m really looking forward to the new underworlds warbands so I don’t really care if that is all they reveal.
Do warbands that are part of a starter set get released Separately too? I use no intention to get the game but I want both the Lumineth and Slaanesh warband. Or are te starter boxes priced so that I’m easier of just buying the box? -

I’m hoping to see more of the Slaanesh range and expect the februari battletome to be for them. That’s perfect as it leaves time to finish some projects and to persuade my significant other I really need more models.
however I think will get some glimpses of other things to come. It would make sense that the advent calendar ends with most of the images being revealed.
