  1. Using 3rd edition as an example, we're probably looking at Spring 2025 for the first substantial releases that aren't from the starter factions, or single hero releases. For 3rd we got Nurgle, Fyreslayers and Idoneth in Winter 2021/22 with single hero releases, then Nighthaunt got a medium update (2 heroes and a unit) in spring.
  2. Obviously, that's from an actual official source. Maybe lead with that next time
  3. I've not watched the stream but even then it's a 3rd party source. GW hasn't mentioned a preview, and LVO hasn't listed tickets for a preview for sale on their website so it is, for all intensive purposes, likely but not confirmed.
  4. Just because it's the normal doesn't mean it will be. I personally expect there to be a preview at the LVO, but until it's announced we don't know. No sense saying "yes there will be a preview on this date" unless it's confirmed. It just leads to more posts asking about why it's not happening if it doesn't.
  5. GW haven’t announced any previews for the LVO yet so we don’t know
  6. The idea is that you buy that box set to get the mini, rather than keeping another SKU on the catalogue as well as encourage less optimal purchases (although honestly, most Combat Patrols and Vanguard boxes are reasonable purchases when starting an army unless you have a very cast iron view of what you want model wise). And when they change the boxes the locked heroes do tend to come back to the online store (the Endrinmaster was previously locked to Start Collecting Kharadron Overlords and is now available again by themselves)
  7. I think it's the Gitmas Grot, hence why it's still available
  8. Yeah Necrons didn't really have anything to be paired with, but Tyranids... well Genestealer Cults are a faction comprised of lots of clampack heroes that are perfect to go in individual issues. And Tyranids are kind of better set out for this than Orruks were too.
  9. Imperium was a mix of Space Marines, Ad Mech and Sisters of Battle. The Ad Mech stuff included my least favourite models in the range, the Sisters stuff is just the combat patrol/launch box sprues. Couple that with some of the Marine stuff being things I didn't want more of (Assault Intercessors and Outriders), plus no terrain that interested me, I just picked up a few single issues. If the new one is a mix of Tyranids and Genestealer Cults, plus something more interesting on the Imperium side added to the Space Marines, then I'd probably bite the bullet and subscribe again.
  10. My hobby year this year collapsed in July when I lost a lot of my motivation due to other issues. I'm going to hope to get back on with Stormbringer and try to finish that by the time 4th ed releases. Anything else is a bonus
  11. I would be hoping for a fourth one, if it doesn't happen it's not the end of the world but it makes it easier to collect an army. Still I've got good sized Stormcast, Nighthaunt, Orruks and Gloomspite from Mortal Realms and Stormbringer, (plus a few extra little starting points for Sylvaneth, Blades of Khorne, FEC and Kharadon) and that'll keep me plenty happy if I don't get any more good discounts. That said I skipped Imperium due to the Imperial side not grabbing my attention so I'll be interested to see what this new one holds (I like Tyranids a lot more than most 40k factions)
  12. Catching up on the last couple of days, I like the Dark Angels models. Belial in plastic finally and the Companions look like fun figures. That said I'm a Dark Angels player and I'm whelmed by that box set. It's fine but it's also kind of boring. TOW boxsets are fun, if they're permanent products (along with similar for the other core armies) then that'll be the game in a good place. Definitely considering picking up one down the line if they are. The resin models are okay too, although I'm not sure if I like the tomb swarms or not. Definitely interesting figures. Now bring on AoS and Warcry!
  13. It's feathers, you have the central spine there which is the easiest way to indicate a feather when sculpting like this
  14. I'm not sure who's subscribing and who's picking up odd issues but there was an email from Hachette to subscribers at the weekend informing us that the price of the magazine is increasing to £9.99 (£11.99 for premium subscribers) from issue 47
  15. Just some amendments, it's Nightlords not Alpha Legion for Kill Team and you can probably add Crusade: Pariah Nexus, Genestealer Cults, Adeptus Sororitas and redacted codex to the 40k list as they were announced to
  16. It's more sensible to include Cities on the list of the 12 and under estimate that there's only 4 factions left, than to assume they weren't and overestimate that there's 5 factions left
  17. Honestly as someone who plays Necrons and Dark Angels and wants to get into FEC I'm really hyped by this preview. I don't think there was a bad mini across all of the games previewed. I'm still not sure if I'll buy into TOW but I might get the skeleton dragon just to paint one day
  18. I don't know if they confirmed it was Lumineth, just that it was Aelves, and that a Lumineth warband would be based on the one of the other elements. But we'll see in a few months time. Either option is a good choice imho
  19. Underworlds is a Destruction warband. Speculation was that it would be a second Kruleboyz one but we've got no real clue to go off of. Next Warcry release should contain an order and death warband with some people thinking it could be Kurnothii Sylvaneth vs Ossiarchs based on the current Dawnbringer stories. Edit; But that's not being revealed tonight/tomorrow
  20. Yeah this is my guess now for AoS, FEC box set and Ushoran in one video then the rest of the range revealed early next year. 40k is surprising as there's only one more rumoured mini for Necrons and Ad Mech and Dark Angels aren't due until spring. I'm also guessing the new 30k Army is being saved for after Christmas too.
  21. People also forget that they did begin to tease FEC on Halloween itself too. And that we're a small part of the fanbase who follow hints and rumours, unlike most AoS players who don't and will have seen that and gotten excited.
  22. They likely won't release anything on the 23rd December so that gives two more release dates (Imperialis should release on 2nd December with the current two week pattern). I would assume Kill Team is one (due to it being originally scheduled for Autumn) but most of the winter things are probably going to be January/February releases. The boxing day release is usually a mix of a made to order run and a single limited edition mini so I wouldn't expect more than that.
  23. It's also possible that like Dawnbringers 2 and 3, 4 doesn't have many models releasing that aren't part of FEC. Book 2 had the Ironjawz update plus Trugg, book 3 had the Cities release plus Ionus and Belthanos. It's very possible Book 4 comes alongside FEC, and just has one or two heroes, especially if they're smaller ones. It's also fairly likely that 40k gets a fairly narrow look in at the preview with just showing off Orikan. The next Codex after Necrons and Ad Mech is Dark Angels and that's not coming out until March at the earliest. Necromunda and Underworlds are also probably going to be fairly small reveals, and Kill Team shouldn't be much bigger. Heresy and the Old World are the only other ones due big reveals and Heresy might just preview the Assault Squads and save the new army for a Christmas tease
  24. That’s a fantastic mini, bring on the rest of the Summerking’s noble hosts
  25. Not as painfully priced as I feared. Now to play the waiting game to see which ones are still available in a few months time when I actually have a little disposable cash!
