      1. ..................................................................... i got nothing lol
      2. maybe a new model yet to be revealed!!!

I think Demigryph are more suitable for proxing the new Freeguild Cavaliers: both are heavy armored cavalry and probably are similar in size. I doubt they will reveal a thicker cavalry unit, maybe a "lighter" one. We'll see :)

  2. CoS is my main army, so I have plenty of old Empire models. I agree with you, it's a bit sad that these models aren't "official" anymore, models we spent money and time in.
And still, we could say that it was a matter of time. It happens all the time for all factions, it's one of the downside of this hobby.

On the other hand I think it's also a good symptom, it means that the game is moving forward and we have new fresh miniatures to buy. New lore also, if we want to embrace it. I like these new freeguild fellas, but I like my oldies too and I will continue to use them. I can, so I will!

They could still possibly get an updated kit. However, since the Cavalliers were pitched as the heavy cavalry of the Cities, I think updated Outriders are more likely.

I feel the same way, new Freeguild Cavaliers are meant to be a heavy/shock unit. Although I'd be very surprised to see another cavalry!

  4. What a customer-friendly move GW! I'm surprised and pleased.

Nice to see the Griffon still in the field, I was not expecting that, but I'm glad since I like the model and I was even planning to proxy Tahlia Vedra with it. However, sad to see demigryph are leaving...

Not a super huge fan of them from my initial impression, but next to the war-hulk and from a different angle they have grown on me.

Is that metal chest from an existing terrain/kit or it's new stuff?
    I've never seen it before

I wasn't sure if I liked it when we first saw it with the dual pistol Marshal (kinda fitting that both Greywater minis we've seen so far have been dual-wielding gunpowder weapons 😛), but now that I've tried painting some Ironbreakers in the scheme I do prefer it to the old one.

I especially like the subtle green tint to some of the more "wetness" prone areas, like the bottom of the coat and lower metal and wood areas, alongside the mossy swamp basing (quite a different take on the Ghoul Mere than how I imagined it, but visually it's just way better than "dark brown mud", and fits the Ghyran theme more).

Hopefully the Castelite reforms give me a lore reason to not repaint my older minis alongside my practical ones.

Honestly I really like them both, the old and the new colour scheme.
I probably won't repaint my army, but i'm a bit sad, lorewise... City colours should be 'official', it's strange to see them change.

Anyway, the minis are great and fresh, I can't wait to see the cannon 🙂

  7. Woah, lots of things packed on those bases!
They are AMAZING! I love pavises and the concept of a shield wall applied to gunpowder weapons.

The only thing that makes me sad is the change of colour palette of Greywater scheme (and other cities, who knows).

We had a new sigmarite cult revealed today - the Cult Unberogen - so I think sigmarite goodness will happen.

Interesting, it's the first mention in AoS of this Cult, right?

In The World-That-Was the Unberogens were a powerful tribe of human barbarians settled in the lands of Reikland, before the Empire was a thing. They were the ancestors of 'modern' empire men; in fact Sigmar was called Sigmar Unberogen when he was born, his father was Bjorn Unberogen.

  9. I adore these new fellas!

But I don't know how I feel about a cities color scheme change... I have an entire Greywater Fastness army painted in Incubi Darkness and Averland Sunset (bluish green + yellow). I would be pretty upset, if this isn't the 'official' palette anymore.

Nonetheless Yellow + Grey make sense – Greywater handgunners are called "greycaps" iirc – and the cogwheel-like pattern too.

  10. I'm on the same boat. I understand that freeguild stuff need to be updated and I'm excited for!
But, at the same time, I will be sad if artillery will be removed without a proper replacement... sure volley gun and rocket battery are very old-fashioned, but still I like them, and I think we need more artillery in the future.

  11. Ok, the more I look at that shield RE, the more it screams BoC to me. It's chaos, but it's too vague to be one of the 4 gods. Also it would surprise me if it's StD with all we've already seen.

Of course it could be a new generic non-affiliated chaos warband... but I want to dream.

    Ok, probably it's 40k.

I do prefer the aesthetic of round bases and do not miss the the jigsaw of units on square bases. The ASOIAF route would be my preference.

It will be interesting to see what they do. They have already said that they will go with square bases but will they really expect people to rebase their miniatures again? There will also be a lot of cross compatibility between AoS and TOW, and people will want to use some of their miniatures across both systems.

I agree. I expect GW will sell new adaptable trays to fit the round bases. One more thing to sell us! :)

Actually I'm not sure if it's perfectly the same in terms of regiment size (square vs round alignment), but still... I can accept a little handicap, I really don't want to rebase an entire army.
