  1. How on earth are they useless? They have at least decent damage and are tanky.
  2. Interesting take. Have to agree Dire wolves got worse, how? I dont really know much about previous book, on first glance they look good to me. Heh, and wouldn't writing buffs for wolfs in wolf subfaction be actually lazy? Adding spell bonus you could say is actually creative in some way
  3. Yeah blaming GW as a whole is different. And if you f.ex. think that scrolls are unimaginative that's your prerogative to criticise that. But how "imaginative" shall we say should warcrolls for battleline be? I feel that people just want more rules, not taking into account f.ex. accessibility of game, just a thing to consider.
  4. So what was the time allocated to this? I ask because surely you wouldn't call someone lazy on a whim, right?
  5. Blood Knights seems to be surprisingly tanky (assuming with 6+ FNP). Their effective wounds per 100pts (ie. counting how many damage you need to kill unit) puts them significantly higher then other cavalry, right with tough or numerous infantry. Those are only selected (>120) warscrolls (I don't have data entry slave you now) assuming mix of rnd 0 and rnd -1 with 1in6 IIRC being MW on incoming damage. Of course when enemy has lot of MW it won't be that good.
  6. I mean new look being more badass, not being reflected in abilities. And partly I assume about new high monetary cost for them. Point cost/damage, utility is different thing altogether
  7. We kinda agreed to let that go for time @Elmir. We need exact wording from book after all.
  8. And you have 2/3 chances of healing 2 which is nice.
  9. Don't they also have artifacts and command traits on those? If so maybe some of that actually
  10. Yeah let's chill. Just with memes thing, I mean it's hard to write rules of any kind humans are utter ****** trying to twist them so let's not be too harsh on poor GW employees. GW was recently hiring new developer for rules so let's hope it will have good impact.
  11. I have mixed feelings about that. Many FAQ questions I see looks like victims of poor question phrasing and not necessarily FAQ team, can we proceed calmly and carefully?
  12. To do that, to "trump" core rules in this instance it would have to say that it is not retreat move. Otherwise there is no contradiction to be overwritten by special rule. Yes but that can be also used to weaken your point. Like in Marauder Horseman f.ex. were possibility of charging later is explicitly called, which is missing from Blood Knight. Which in turn could be used to argue "no charge" position.
  13. I understand concern, but let's not go too far just yet, there is Battletome with full rules to come out much less 3ed.
  14. Wait a bit with that. While I argue that rules as we saw them would block their charge, intent seem to be different. So maybe rules in actual book will be slightly different or I would assume there is quite good chance for favorable FAQ.
  15. About rend thing, Chaos Knights for instance if they choose lance are sitting ducks (with rend 0) when stuck in prolonged combat. So Blood Knights are kinda mix between lance and sword in this regard. They sacrifice some imapct on charge for better ombat ability if f.e.x they are charged. So it gives some, takes some I would say.
  16. Or waiting until book comes out😉, maybe warcom team shortened/modified text a bit.
  17. Retreat is normal move! It is retreat if it starts within 3".
  18. First, my earlier point about rules not being exact/complete still stands. So we will see. But nobody is declaring any special moves. By virtue of starting close to enemy normal move is retreat move, ie. it is retreat and normal move at the same time. Unless you claim that retreating units cannot run for instance?
  19. With this wording I am not sure. Normal moves are moves done in movement phase after all
  20. guys https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/05/11/find-out-why-blood-knights-are-the-unit-soulblight-vampires-cant-live-without/
  21. I don't exactly remeber when just that sometimes there is more to the rules in question, as in pasting only fragment. Some endless spell from LRL had just part of the rules, same with some SoB ability.
  22. This. But guys remeber that those rules blurbs can be edited somewhat by Warcom team. Full rule could very well include restriction on returning any unit only once per game it's just not shown. So we have to wait to get full picture
