GW seems to have pretty hard delivery problems lately. I am still waiting for the boxes that were supposed to arrive on the 16th, and even worst, I am waiting more than a month for a box from their online catalog.

I think this is what happened to mine. I asked for it shipped to my home, and probably should have picked it up.

100% not going to have resin mixed in with army boxes. A whole host of reasons why, including manufacturing and legal guidelines. I'm also continually surprised that people don't seem to understand that tooling for plastic kits costs 10's of thousands of pounds. GW isn't going to make a plastic kit unless they are fairly sure they will at least see a return on investment. Gdubs are not going to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds on tooling for half a dozen Bretonnian characters when it is only 1 of 9 planned factions.

I also personally think that the aversion to resin is completely overplayed. It's a great material that allows for so much to be done. I think a lot of the "hate" just comes from hate-wagon jumping frankly. I could understand if we were talking about large blocks of infantry, but a few character models? Fine by me.

They can make molds for limited run stuff like Underworlds, store anniversaries and event minis.

Other companies can also make plastic molds for limited run, and are then cheaper per model.

Not that resin is awful, but one of the advantages GW has over printing is not dealing with resin dust from sanding. Plastic models are also easier to customize than purchased resin minis.

Purchasing a resin model at GW prices is only a little better than buying a lead containing metal model at GW prices.

I think people forget Halloween is one day and not a *season*, it's also not a big thing here in the UK.

It's like when people expected a full Skaven relaunch during the Chinese year of the rat.

GW also knows a marketing opportunity when it sees one.

They are certainly my favourite thing about Cities of Sigmar. And I love the army!

I hope now that the Gargoylians exist independent artists jump on the train of designing variety packs of little marginalia dudes on Etsy. I would put these guys on all my bases if I could.

I should really get this guy's minis for that, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2004599158/hieronymus-bosch-tabletop-miniatures

But they are quite pricy and taller than I want for marginalia.

I loved the old Chaos Familiars set, and would love more of that.

I did not have much time to paint yet this month, but I did have time to add this little sweety to the base of my Hurricanum:

Those little guys are going to get me the whole new Cities line, aren't they? Though really I shouldn't. Emergency pet care proves very expensive.

Okay, I spoke too soon. XD Looking forward to the assembled pics, pretty difficult to get the full picture there! Certainly a smart way to do it, especially if you go for a universally lit style like the Eavy Metal one e.g.

The main reason they look like this is that it's mostly contrasts over white. Not my favourite, but I don't have the time to do every model better since I want to give everyone something.

I love your corrosion, the more intense effect will be visible from further away.

He's literally perfect, I can't stop looking at it, my heart skipped a beat. Death is the only grand alliance i don't possess but I fear not for too much longer.

If your heart skips more beats, you can join his Grand Alliance!

Yep, AoS has a long reputation of removing miniatures and armies. We started with Fantasy miniatures (2 purges btw), then mercenaries, then Coalition units, then old miniatures (again), then invalidate some heroes/armies or even units, then old miniatures again... Btw, we have Armies of Renown, and a FEC remake too. I expect the same fate too.

I'm not even sure if Ellania & Ellathor or Bundo, or even Gotrek will survive the next purge as part of "true mercenaries".

I also expect old Underworld teams to be booted, and Cursed City models when it's time is up.

So while I find this utterly hilarious, I am not gonna lie, I am frustrated again. My Sigmar Army has gotten removed from the game again! For reference here:

Fantasy: Bretonnia (Coming back in Old World)

Age of Sigmar 1st Edition: Bretonnia-FreeGuild (I was planning on using Bretonnia (sense keyword shared) as a stepping stone to build FreeGuild army). Bretonnia lost FreeGuild keyword and then stuff like Order Knights got removed.

Age of Sigmar 2nd Edition: Freeguild-Vampire Mercs. I transitioned to using Merc rules bought some Blood Knights, and otherwise. Relevant Mercs got removed from the game.

Age of Sigmar 2nd Edition Part 2: Shadowblade + Friends (Tempest Eye/Living City) I acquired some Stormcast, Wanderers, alongside other units and converted some of my Freeguild. Redid the army with a ShadowBlade Core + Assassin General. Realm Rules (Removal of Realm Facts, specifically Thermal Rider) ended that army.

Age of Sigmar 2nd/3rd Edition: Shadowblade + DoK/Stormcast Vangaurd (Hal Kuron and Misthaven). I more embraced the Shadowblade theme of shifty shifty, and began using DoK new units Khainte Units and/or Stormcast Vangaurd Rules. Originally intended for Hal Kuron, but then Legends rules for Uglu Wizard Aelves from that boardgames I transitioned to Misthavn.

Now ironically while Human Cavalry have returned, and alot of my hopes for genericier traits so my Assassin Generals wouldn’t feel meh. Shadowblade isn’t an army that can exist anymore. Furthermore Assassins only work with Aelf Units. Also I lost Stormcast Coalition. So like on principle I like new book and Bretonnia returning in ToW. But man getting my army removed from the game 5 times is book utterly hilarious and incredibly frustrating for me.

Yeah. I got tricked into buying mercenaries as well months before they got dumped. I had a sizable Kharadron inclusion as well as some Stormcast for my Tempest's eye when I played.

Not only are rulebooks overpriced for the quality and they lose all value every three years (one for general's handbook), they also casually toss out stuff from the rules. Including stuff made for AoS like Silver Tower.

GW makes nice models (and charge hefty for them), but I will never give their rulebooks another chance.

  10. Most of the Eduard fw-190 is not that interesting before panel lining and further painting, but the cockpit is mostly finished (still need to find out what to do for seatbelts).

The cockpit opening is 11 mm wide. I wanted a bit more definition in the dials, but it is rather small. Painting eyes is easier than painting dials, danger areas on that dial etc.
