Let's be real, it's going to be one hero each and a new book.

That would be disappointing, but is likely.

IDK are fairly set as an army, new stuff would flesh out the army (whether they embrace ‘Elves’ or ‘Seafood’ is up to GW) but they don’t need more stuff.

Fyreslayers need units. There are four units with little visual diversity and lacking in utility. A boring hero would not solve the biggest issues, and the army is probably dead for another edition without a whole faction (Adding KO would not solve this, it would just make KO worse)

The Kill Team boxes have been decent, but overpriced. Shadow Throne and the new Chaos/Eldar Box severely lack in the number of models department (300 points per side). The Battleforces were exquisite, but I fear our new box will be lacking.

    Box Contents Guess:

FS hero (new sculpt), 2x Hearthguard, IDK new Namarti Hero, 10 Namarti, 3 eels.

    Box Contents Wishlist:

10 Vulkites, 3 man new mounted FS unit, Mounted FS Hero, 10 Namarti, 5 man new Namarti Elite unit, New Namarti Hero

what do you think about another layer of complexity?

I’m talking again about Strength vs Toughness/ Strength vs Resistance. The utility of this mechanic is clear, make all units a bit more different and unique just using their own stats/profiles.

So, what do you think about something like this?

A lot of the missing realism got solved by having more wounds on models.

  3. Khorne could smell the foul stench of the sorcery on the wind. Skulls he sensed, but no fury, no righteous anger, or burning rage, No Blood.

For Tzeentch, many of the threads that weaved the fabric of the future turned brittle and then crumbled into dust. A dystopia of order, predictability, and stasis

Slaanesh, steeped in the excess and megalomania of Nagash's spell, but then realized there was no joy, no excess, no desires. It would be... dull.

Nurgle enjoyed the death the spell brought, but not the lack of life. There was no true rebirth, only a horrible stasis with no respect for entropy

The Horned Rat saw a rival. Only he could stand toe to toe with the other Chaos Gods. That was his rightful place, yes-yes.

Besides that, if someone was going to ruin the cosmos, it was going to be him.

  4. Get your final bets in for Battleforces:

    New Stormcast Duders

    Kruleboyz

Slaanesh (But only the old daemons, not new stuff)

Gloomspite Gitz (Sneaky Snufflers, Rockgut Trolls, and zero shootas or Stabbas)

(Yes, I am salty at the lack of new armies among last years battleforces)

I'm pretty sure the reason they haven't gotten anything like that is that they have the worst liked aesthetic out of every army according to all polls I've seen on the subject by a wide margin. Even then they still got spells and terrain at least

The lack of package deals with Fyreslayers has 100% the reason my army isn’t larger than the Start Collecting.

It’s literally the Bretonnian/Tomb King Death Spiral all over again.

I think with the direction that Games Workshop is moving Slaves to Darkness (via Warcry) means that worshiping a god beyond the traditional pantheon would not preclude them from the army. I do think it means they likely will not have access to Marks. Chaos Undivided incorporates different forms of God Worship not exclusively the Four Powers. Namely it has been established that the Warcry Warbands are not certain of the nature, or names of the Chaos Gods and may worship their own version of the Gods. Archaon and Be'Lakor both have cults dedicated to their worship.

So in other words, I do not consider the worship of Hashut, Morghur, Malal or any other named or unnamed god a way to preclude inclusion in Slaves to Darkness. If anything I think it has more to do with following Archaon's ongoing wild ride so I can imagine him contracting the worshipers of Hashut into his service. This is why I can also imagine BoC entering the S2D soup... however, I feel both Chaos Dwarves and BoC would be too much likely leading to a larger number of Wascrolls than Cities of Sigmar or SCE.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
For the lore of my own Chaos force I have been thinking of having them view the Eight Pointed Star as representing a pantheon of Gods. I do not consider this canon lore but rather unreliable theological understandings within my Chaos Forces. In my mind it is a pantheon designed by Be'Lakor to place himself as an equal of the Gods but also to help place mortal agents that worship him into Archaon's legions. Archaon will not be seen as a God but an Avatar and nexus of the Gods. I am open to changing some of these out or rearranging the position of the Gods but I will keep the opposing gods in opposite cardinal directions. I am thinking that Morghur will be a separate primordial force treated as an unknowable god outside of the Pantheon an embodiment of Chaos. I will note this is a very background part of my army's lore, but it helps me develop background for my characters having more varied beliefs creating rivalries and alternate lists based around different marks.

Also feel free to steal for your own crazy chaotic cosmology! I also know that having a 'clean cosmology' is not very Chaotic but I really like the idea of Chaos being a contradiction with Mortal Followers attempting and failing to make sense of the dreams of demons.

The most accurate thing here is Slaanesh, whom we all know prefers bottom.

" What is the acronym for Idoneth again?"
    "IDK"

"Fair enough, I'll ask someone else"

Or GW should specifically create more factions with the same acronyms as common bits of internet parlance. Just to confuse things more!

Is it SBG, SGL, or SBGL?

  8. I don't want to sound too insulting for all the work you've probably done as a TO. Only a little

I’m still regaled and reminded of tournament food memories – good and bad – years down the line. ‘Great event – loved the burgers!’ -  a compliment that makes me die inside a bit. ‘Did I bevel all that MDF for nothing!’ I silently spit… grimly accepting that such efforts are almost totally in vein

This whole comment makes you sound bitter and jaded. It's a compliment. Take the gaddumb complement. Don't assume they thought your comb-over is creepy and disrespected everything else you did because they didn't say anything about it. They had fun and they'll probably be back.

And, finally, what about players obligations? Does the entry ‘fee’ the organiser is ‘paid’ dictate an abdication of responsibility?

My obligation is the entry fee(s), following the tournament rules, being a civilized human being, and keeping myself alive. I have no other responsibilities beyond that.

whether it’s either acceptable for an organizer to make money from them, or to run them at a loss.

It is literally no concern of mine, nor of anyone else's, despite what the Twitter-stasi would have you believe (They are seriously terrible people. Get off that platform). If you make hundreds-thousands on it, good on you. If you have to reverse mortgage your house to do it, I personally think you're making a mistake, but I'm not gonna stop you.

The biggest concern is whether I think I'm getting my money's worth to play at the tournament. $20 entry fee, I'd assume 2D terrain (a la warmahordes). $250, and you better be paying my hotel room (not sure if custom for tournaments, but if using a hotel conference room, you can usually book a block of rooms for visitors so they can make their own arrangements at a slightly discount rate, which I would assume the tournament would offer because there's no charge outside of calling to tell them to close the block a month before). I don't need food if there's a Subway in the same shopping center or across the street, but would expect a catering truck outside if the nearest restaurant is 10+ minutes away and we have five minutes between rounds. By the way, whatever catering you hire is probably operating on extreme profit margins as well. I don't know why you have a cost spot for tables and chairs, because that should be something your venue should have bundled in the rental cost.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just get this feeling that you're working harder, when you should also be working smarter.

Basicly the whole dominion box is missing. Hobgrotz + Boltboyz + the heroes. Shaman will be picked in multiples, I don't think GW expects us to buy multiple boxes.

Hobgrots are in the Starter Boxes. No sight of Boltboyz.

As much as everyone is ragging you, because buying multiples is the way of life, this is correct in regards to Dominion. They didn't expect you to buy multiples of Dominion, because they expected it to have sold out already.
