    But I thought the the curseling does not know/learn the spell as he can only cast it if he unbinds it and not again.which means his ability ( vessel of chaos) does not let him learn the endless spell...unless using glean magic, which doesn't work for endless spells

  2. So, for endless spells, what would people like to see? What would they be/look like and what would their abilities be? ......maybe something like whirlwind of change....has effects similar to vortex beast, where you will a dive and consult a chart for each unit it passed across

    first off you are gonna have to decide early on whether you want to kill the slann or not, as it will most likely take two turns of spells. The list itself is pretty good from what ive seen (although the ogroid in a ranged list seems out of place, however since you will most likely be fightin* up close against heroes for objectives perhaps will work out fine. If taking him for his spell I’d suggest the magister as a cheaper and better version of said spell utility wise. Of course less damage and wound still but them the breaks for potentially tying up units. Plus if he runs skinks they will be forced to retreat hilariously enough as they almost definitely can’t do enough damage to the spawn)

    what exaclty is the seraphon packing. Are they going skinks or saurus? Do you know specifically the hero’s he has? How focused on summoning is this player?

    We played duality of death....where only heroes or behemoths take objectives....So it started off well with me rolling high casting rolls and him failing unbinds....I screened well until I had to move heroes to take objectives and I only partially screened the LoC who was killed top of turn 3 by the deepstriking ripperdactyls. He got them on the LoC bottom of turn 2, but then he got the double turn.....and got his bastillidon in range of the LoC and objective 1.....which meant he now has objective 1. I was so demoralized that I didn't know how to come back from that...as I didn't have the second objective, but my magister was near the second objective and was going there but kept him screened with pinks....GS was screened by other pinks but on a balewind. ......he had objective 1 and I had summoned blues on objective 2.....he got a razordon into my blues....I was so concerned about screening my 2 remaining heroes that it cost me....cause I should have charged 1 unit of pinks and magister into the razordon to  get the magister on the objective.......I also should have pulled some pinks away from the GS earlier to screen the other side of the LoC...😕. So.....yeah.

  4. Have a 1250 point against seraphon playing duality of death, where only heroes/ behemoths can take objectuves. He has 3 heroes and a deep strike unit....I'm thinking to take

    Spell lores definitely need some updating. I love how all of the Skaven's war engines can be overpowered for a risk. I think it would be cool if each of our spells had a normal and a risky version when casting. I would also like to see more Artifacts of Power that play to our strengths. There are so many in our current book that trigger when you kill a hero or monster in combat and that's not really our thing. More Artifacts or General Traits that make casting more interesting would be nice. Regular Tzaangors need to be streamlined. Currently a unit with all the upgrades is a pain to resolve in combat. 

    As far as capturing the feeling for the lore fact that Acolytes are hiding among the cities and armies how about something like this? 

    Acolyte Cults have spies everywhere. They use deceitful magic to disguise themselves as fellow soldiers but on the eve of battle they will abandon their posts to join their comrades.
    At the start of the battle, choose one friendly Kairic Acolyte unit and 1 enemy Battleline unit. Remove D3 models from that Battleline unit and add that many Kairic Acolyte models to the chosen Kairic Acolyte unit. Do this for each Kairic Acolyte unit in your army. The same enemy batteline unit cannot be chosen more than once. Change the die roll from d3 to d6 if the Kairic Acolyte unit contains 20 or more models at the start of the battle. 
     

     

    that's pretty cool I think .  Love to see some abilities like that

We have one usable one and no reason to use cp on morale most games... like please gimme something for that other then the chicken GeeDubbs. Other then that general buffs to arcanite stuff to help against powercreep would be fine

    for endless spells I want a tzeentch caster buff, a damage spell that turns people into tzaangor or spawn (perhaps it hurts everyone lol!) and a defensive anti spell one

    also arcanites need more rules to represent a cult rising up. I’m thinking a flanking ability or formation to show they were amongst the enemy and exposed their true loyalties. We are genestealer cults fantasy style I wanna see more of that

    love the concept of a cult rising up. New arcanites abilities and/or models would be cool. ALso, I don't see a lot of battalion choices that are viable currently.....multihost, changeshost, and maybe 2? covens....from what I see

  7. What is everyone wanting as far as updates this year? I'm thinking that a terrain piece would maybe be a flux cairn....it could buff friendly casters and hurt enemy casters......id like to see updated Fate Master and Herald on Disc models at least......endless spells that could cause chaos spawn, possibly.....maybe some more spell lores ......just my thoughts

    Slaanesh deserved it ☺️ I’m just glad all 4 chaos gods are getting goodies since AOS came out. We are also blessed with the endless spells needed to work well in this day and age. Battleline psykers and horror summoning is also very strong. And with marks we can fill in almost any blank! We aren’t op like we used too but I’d like to think this is the best spot for an army, not overpowered but still able to feel powerful doing what we do best. I do think arcanites should have access to more buffs and not rely on casters as much (although in large games the cabal is amazing sometimes, I love being able to abuse our look out sir spell on any wizard while still casting base spells and getting recycled fate Dice!) 

    i haven’t matched with death tho so I’m unsure how are casting measures up to the other best casting faction 

    I'm just wanting to buy new models and tzeentch themed endless spells. And I've played against skaven after their update.....they are nasty and I didn't fair well. ....could have been me. I'm not upset that slaanesh  is getting stuff, just want more tzeentch stuff to burn money on 😁.

    However on the off chance that both you and you opponent have bought the same endless spell... 

    So I cannot find this . I have searched FAQ and the malign portent FAQ states that an ability the allows a model to learn or know a spell can't be used for endless spells unless points are paid......but the vessel of chaos ability does not allow the curseling to kniw/learn the spell (that is clean magic).  So , if he doesn't learn or know the spell via vessel of chaos then he can unbind them cast it

    For learning how to play well i recommend that you ask your friends to do kind of a double solitary game or to really communicate every move with one another. For example of you see your opponent doing something dumb that looks game losing you guys talk about that move before you go on. During you spell phase you can ask your opponent what unit he thinks is most important at the moment, before you start flinging spells, etc.

  11. I haven't had too many good experiences playing tzeentch, and after review list ideas I came to the conclusion that it's me not the list....somewhat depressing. I have tried to learn how to play (experiencea painter  but inexperienced player) and took me a while to get down the basics of game play. Now that I've gotten that down in trying to learn strategy, but not going well.  Did/does anyone else have a hard time learning stategy? I'm trying to keep a positive attitude...as it's just a game.....but losing as much as I have is not making for a fun experience

    You play 2*10 pinks so take the Pendulum to kill your owns pinks aiming for both units turn 1 and then make them come back with the 1 of your destiny dices with the bravery tests. You will get like 20 blues first turn, this help to bubble wrap and/or take control of objectives. You can use a fast caster like the blue scrib or the herald on disc or the shaman to project your blues far away. 

    Not sure about the vortex beast as I never tried it. 

    Eventually consider getting 6-9 Enlighteneds, they are really awesome for the point cost currently. 

    Thanks @Asimov. With this list I've got 1900 points and I'm considering a few things:

    1. Spend more points in endless spells

    2. Swap out the vortex beast and Acolytes for 2 more units of pinks 

    3. Swap out the vortex beast for 1 unit of pinks and add endless spells 

    Just some thoughts. I like the look and abilities of the vortex beast ( and all things tzeentch). I played skaven  last weekend and...... It was bad. Lol 

  13. Needing some help/advice....newish player here and love the lore, look of Tzeentch...and the painting. But not fairing well when I play.....my current list is the following:

    Lord of Change  - 

    Gaunt summoner w/ familiars -  general....Arcane sacrifice...tzeentch's          inferno

    blue scribes...fold reality

    Herald on foot

    Magister ...bolt of tzeentch 

    10x pinks  ...Unchecked mutation

    10x pinks ....bolt of Tzeentch

    20 x acolytes

    vortex beast 

    spell portal

    Cogs 

    Balewind  

    I've noticed my problems are at least 2 fold: 1 I sometimes forget certain abilities or summoning (a lot to keep track of),_2 not familiar with objective based gameplay (I focus more on surviving and killing more models). 

    Appreciate any feedback
