it looks to me that everything would deep strike in one space and blow a flank off the table. Most games your opponent will be really cagey with their deployment so screening your boats will be key

KO has some really long range guns so we can threaten almost anything on the board

I like this list as well since you could make it out of at least one start collecting box or half of an aetherwar box. Do you arm the Grundstock Thunderers with rifles or the unique weapons? Do you use one of the Skyports or use the generic articles and such?

Havent decided on artefacts or skyports kinda just calculated points. I was looking at the loadouts and was thinking Maybe Rifles and Cannons on the Thunderers to push that extra bit of rend in there. Same with the Endrinriggers taking Saws and Rivetguns but then taking a skyhook and Grapnel in all units

  3. Let me give you the list of gods

    HEROS

    • Endrinmaster with Dirigible Suit         220

    SHIPS

    • Frigate                            250
    • Frigate                            250
    • Gunhauler                    150

    UNITS

    • 10x Grundstock Thunderers            240
    • 10x Grundstock Thunderers            240
    • 6x Endrinriggers                    200
    • 6x Endrinriggers                    200
    • 6x Endrinrigger                     200

You can literally move your entire army in to shooting range on the first turn and unleash hell on them by shooting all the dangerous things away.

I may be missing something because I am just coming back to the game but Barak Mhornar just seems really poor compared to the other options and I am glad I never made much progress painting the army with their color scheme previously.

Honestly the color of your army doesnt matter. Play any skyport you want

I really dont see a reason to list all the paints I use I do a lot of mixing and I think that the exact paint doesnt really matter. What you want when painting an army is cohesion and colors that work well together.  I started just painting the skin on Glottkin and just randomly choce purple. At this point I didnt know what other colors I wanted. After finishing the skin I had to choose other colors. Okay opposite of purple on the color wheel is green so my second color is green. what goes with green? Orange.

This is the color picker from adobe you can see we have a selection of green, purple and orange and they all compliment each other.

Army painting is really more a game of picking color than skill with the brush. You mostly look at your army from 2-3 feet away when you play so you mostly want it to look good from 2-3 feet away. What pops most is color no one sees your edge highlights when the model is on the table I literally never edge highlight anything and its working out fine. What you see when you look at my army is a well selected palette of colors.

Some armies? Only one can do it. And they have cons for it.

Its still a thing. I dont think letting Kharadron reroll all hits in one phase once per game is horribly obnoxious in any way.  They even have a downside after that

There are ways to give extra gold for use in other phases, and don't underestimate how powerful a free triumph per phase is. Your entire army re-rolling all ranged hits on a single turn would be horribly obnoxious.

Not like some armies can give +1 save to their entire army, Ignore all their battleshocks and use as many points as they want to re roll all saves in melee.

You can reroll all tohit rolls with aethergold. You use Thunderers with rifles only?

Damn I though it was only ones. With reroll all its 21 damage to a 4+. And yeah i calculated for rifles only becouse that seems like the best loadout if you keep them in the boat. Used the Shrapnel weapon for the boat

They do a lot of internal testing. Then they do a lot of external playtesting with top players. Then they do a lot of internal playtesting with the changes suggested by the top players. Then they test some more.

They have written and spoke extensively about this. Just read any Jervis White Dwarf article or watch him on Warhammer TV.

How is "GW don't test" still a thing?

They released OBR in a state where you could create a unit that needed something like a million damage to be killed

Sam (fluffy, hinterlands creator, mawtribes), jervis (senior rules writer, Slaanesh, ossiarch bonereapers) and slaves to darkness got the new guy if I remember the honest wargamer correctly

If they really have only two rules writers it shouldnt be that hard to have communication between the two to keep power levels between books in check

  11. The fact is that GW has two guys writing books. One is chill and likes the lore and such writes books like Ogors and Gloomspite then there is the guy snorting coke instead of drinking coffee and writing rules like "6 mortals wounds on a roll of 6" "+1 save to the entire army" "No battleshocks ever" "Summon 3 keepers a game"I hope KO got the coked out one.

LoS is checked by looking if a straight line can be drawn from any part of one model to any part of the other. It's also checked from model to target unit individually.

I believe is LOS is per unit. One model has to see the enemy unit then everyone in range can shoot.

On point, the markers were ugly, detracted from the game, and showed that my opponent cared little for the aesthetic of the hobby compared to the 'game-ness' of it.

I think thats why people are talking about immersive ones. For gameplay always seeing where the area of the objective is would be incredibly handy
