  1. Sorry, but any Squigalanche, isn't a competitive list for do a 3-2 in any big tournament. A good record with this type of list is a 2-3, and this is because after losing a few games you're gonna play with others lists that they aren't competitive too.

    The list have this problems:
    - Too many Manglers. They're fine, but they aren't Maw-Krushas or Terrorgheists.

    - Boingrot are very slow, they can't do the job of fast cavalry.

    - You have very few models and the save rolls are awful, and it's easy you lost half of your army versus Kharadron, Seraphon or Cities of Sigmar. You are going to have too many problems to capture objectives.

    - Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig are mediocre support heroes. After you charge with your units his job is finished and he's going to die or move around the map without doing anything

If you want to improve the list, stop trying to play the Squigalanche, remove some Manglers, add other things like a Webspinner Shaman on Arachnarok, Sneaky Snufflers, Stabba+loonboss, Rockgut Troggoths... Try to make a mixed army and try to play around the objectives.

Squigalanche is one of the worse glass cannon actually, Idoneth, Khaine, Tzeentch, Seraphon are going to crush your army so easily, and you aren't enough strong to beat Bonereapers, Orruks or Chaos Ascendant.

Here you have a good review, I think is the best review of the Gloomspite Gitz army in youtube.

I'm not 100% agree with all the things he says or the competitive lists he show us, but it's a goof point to start.

We also need to factor the final 40K PA book, Pariah, into the schedule. Given it features Necrons and the new 40k launch set has Necrons and lore related to the Parish Nexus this could be simultaneous with 9th edition launch.

The week with the last PA book will be a good week to launch the GH20... but with the experience of the last two or three "next weeks", I think that the last PA will be another alone pre-order and it is gonna break my expects...

4July--- Pre-Order     Second half Lumineth Army
5July--- Next week General Handbook 2020 and Two next week 40k new Edition Box

11July--- Pre-Order    General Handbook 2020 and Two next week 40k new Edition Box

End of August: Sons of Behemat

The picture is from the 8th edition Wood Elves book. English edition page 47 Wild Riders. But I agree that the mount resembles the stag of the Glade Lord and not the deers from the Wild Riders.

Im not really tempted by the box. What else could we expect next week? Mage and archers perhaps?

I think the next week they will launch all the army. Lumineth are very few boxes. But with rhythm of launching the GH is going to be delayed more...

Oh yes sorry I forgot I believe a shipping note of the new handbook was found, is that correct everyone? My mind's a little hazy.

Yeah, the shipping note was leaked as always... this is the motive we expected the GH the past week...

Is it the bad moon that also told you so ? ;)

Something going on with Gordrakk laying siege to Excelsis (not Azyr) is absolutely confirmed in the fluff. The way GW works, aka dropping hints to build toward advancing the narrative arc, means that there will be a book or a supplement about this event, the same way Lumineth or Wrath of the Everchosen were teased before release.

The rumor of DoK vs Slaanesh Mortals, that is yet unconfirmed. But between rumor engines and existing release patterns (like GW updating old, AOS1-era Battletomes), it's quite likely will see something for DoK at least soon (not counting the already revealed Beastgrave and Warcry warbands).

Da Bad Moon only speaks with the real rulerz... 😔

If the next week they announce Pariah and another Specialist Game release content... I think all about AoS was delayed after the 40k hype train will vanishes. 🙄

Are there any Books/Tomes in the work that have not been officially announced (outside DoK and GHB20)?

A new DoK book is not announced and we don't know if it is in development. The same happens with the rumours without any weight of the Slaanesh mortals or the Campaign book of the Siege of Azyr.

The only books are Lumineth and Sons of Behemat. We can hope we will see the GH20 soon, but with the covid-19 and the launchment of W40k new edition is very possible that it is the only AoS releases we are gonna see this year.

  8. I know a lot of people is waiting for the Lumineth, but the release of the next GH is necessary, a lot of armies needs to be fixed and others needs to be updated like they do before. Battleplans, Realms and artifacts rules... We need new content that is only possible with a GH.

It's good for the 40K fans for sure and hopefully that means next week will be the last of the 40K stuff until 9th Edition because who knows when AOS will get a release after that Haha

And surely they wouldnt release a PA back to back weeks so maybe the Lumineth Battlebox will be dropped next week and then the following week will be the final PA with the Scions of the Flame then Sons the week after?

Imposible, Blood Bowl, Necromunda, Beastgrave... Sons of Behemat before August is impossible... and with this "next week" i am down now... I think a few things will be postponed

Well, apart from Thunderers, but I'm not really expecting any warscroll changes in the GHB.  I'm sure they have other things to put in the blank pages where the Allegience Abilities used to be.

They only change warscroll that affect the good development of the game like Plague Monks or Thunderers. Dankhold are big support guys with the objective of hunt small heroes or elite units. They aren't units to capture objectives or fight core units.

    @Nezzhil

Regarding the Dank rewrite I'd love to see them get a similar attack characteristic as the Nighthaunt Chainghast and one of the SE Paladins were as in they get an attack for every enemy within 2"

More fitting for that massive club.

The faction rules are not the Warscrolls, we have a problem with the moon... Most of the Warscrolls are fine, and the Danks have a superb rules with an specific job that they do very well.

  12. The battalions needs an urgent point reductions.

Grots needs a reduction. Sorry but the comparison with the potential of the skins, marauders or clanrats is shameful.

    Dankhold needs a reduction.

    Spider riders need a reduction.

Skragrott needs a reduction, we pay a heavy tax with the "only general rules"·

    Heroes are fine.

    Manglers and squigs are fine.

Gobapalooza needs a reduction, but with the battalion reduction will be ok.

    Araknaroks are fine.

    Troggoths are fine.

    Fanatics needs a reduction.

Of course, these reductions will be less urgent if they change our faction rules in the GH2020 as they did with Seraphon or Ironjawz in the past book.

  13. The low fantasy of Warhammer was only a thing during the 6th&7th edition, all the others editions created crazy things like demons with a cannon in his ass, the female Skaven being giant incubators, dwarf zeppelins, giant tanks, machineguns, sniper rifles like today or other crazy things...

It’s starting to get closer, any ideas or *any* speculations on new 2020 Generals Handbook and points updates?

My Skaven are eager for points decreases lol.

You need to be prepared for some Verminlord points increased thanks to the Chaos Ascendant. 🙄

  15. 1 minute ago, Weazel said:

Ok thanks, I'll consider building towards that eventually maybe. But which Fanatics would you add first? Say if you were strapped for points and had to choose only one or the other.

Well, the Sporesplatta are better in bigger armies, if you are going to play 1k or 1.5k games, I think it's better if you try the Loonsmasha first.

  16. 6 minutes ago, Weazel said:

Going to try a 'Grot Bomb', so basically 40 Stabbas with Sneaky Snufflers and a Loonboss. So I have a box of Fanatics unassembled, and I'm kinda undecided which ones to build. Sporesplattas would further buff the Grots with +1A and give some LoS blocking as well if needed. However Loonsmashas' damage looks so tempting and they would be a pretty sweet charge deterrent.. which ones would you build?

Also, do you roll the number of attacks for Fanatics just once for the whole unit, or for each model separately?

You need both fanatics to test the real Grot Bomb and a Madcap for the -1Rend artifact. 😁

  17. 1 minute ago, Weazel said:

If I have a unit of 20 Stabbas with a Flag Carrier, a Gong Basher and 3 Netters and I bring them back from the Loonshrine do I get to bring any Flag Carriers, Gong Bashers or Netters with them since the unit size is now 10 ? They are limited as 1 in every 20 models or 3 in every 20 models.

For a unit of 20 Stabbas you can return: 2 Netters, 1 Gong Basher, the Boss and the standard bearer
