  1. To be fair, that's the idea of this list : try something new (with Kharadron). I don't know (yet) if it's relevant and if our dorfs go well with their flying cousins. This is the occasion to try it in differents settings. I have a second list, more classical and bulky that I called "Hit the Wall, Jack" (You get the idea...) For the Runelords, the matter is that if I choose to pickaxe the warden king, I loose his Grudge for one turn, and that's a sad thing. I'd like to add Endrinriggers, but I think i should start a Kharadron army in this way... :/
  2. Hi fellows Dawi ! Need some advices here. We are doing a friendly tournaments this week end (5 players) and we must play with one and only one 2K list for the whole. I add that we'll be playing with home made rules : 500pts of allies for 2000 pts. What do you think of this list ? Allegiance : Dispossessed (duh!) Leaders : Warden King Runelord (Pickaxe) Runelord Unforged (Anraheir's Claw, thanks @Furuzzolo !) Units : Ironbreakers *20 Irondrakes *10 Longbeard *10 Quarrellers *20 Warriors *20 Allies : Arkanaut Frigate (great cannon) Grundstok Thunderers *10 (3 Aethershot Rifles, 1 fumigator, 2 decksweeper, 2 Cannon, 2 mortar Battalion : Grudgebound War Throng Total : 1990/2000pts 124 wounds I'll try to make some detailed reports of each round and battle, and take some photos for you. My opponents will be : Some stinky goatsmen, Shnappi das Kleine Crocodil, Some Icy ogri and, of course, filthy grobi. The main goal here is to grab objectives quickly with the Frigate and thunderers, hold on with covering fire while the rest of my army advance. Thanks for replies !
  3. Cheer up, Dawi, I know the feeling too. That reminds me of the game in 1v1v1 where my opponents did all the game in a corner, letting me hanging alone and slowly moving to them... That was... fun. >< @Furuzzolo here made quite a good synthesis. In your case, Thunderers or Quarrelers would have done miracles I think. 20 Quarrelers, put them in Shield Wall and starts shooting while you advance. That's 40 shots screening your movement in a range of 20" and we don't care for Rend in that case. Serious threat for your opponent, Recommend. Your Quarrelers are as tanky as your fellows Warriors, remember that. In the meantime, Pickaxe 30 sturdy warriors in their back or flank. 2nd serious threat. If you manage to place your 1 or 2 cannons in a good firing position, that's the 3rd serious threat. I'll add that if you manage to squeeze a little Gunmaster with it in your list, Grungni may be pleased, be prepared to see flying rats everywhere. Your 1 or 2 cannons will obliterate everything within 32" range. Don't be sad because you lost a game. Dispossessed are slow, it's true. Sometimes it will be hard to get to your opponent, sometimes you will not be in a good position. Placement and tactics are crucial with our fellow duardins. But don't give up. Learn from mistakes and see what works and what doesn't. And for now on, you got a reason to place a grudge on those ratty-rats-rats. Next time, you'll make them pay for this insult, don't you ?
  4. I'll also add that at 1000pts, it's hard to have units at full capacity. Dispossessed have a lot of units with buff IF it's a 20-30 units size. So you must choose which one will be top-geared. As an exemple, Quarrellers are incredibly insane at 30 sized, but don't even bother to bring only 10 of them. And against heavily armored opponents. That said, what is the list of your friend ? We could see what you should focus on and how. Also, don't forget the Unforged if you're playing against a Chaos player. He's weak, but he sure can hit against them if you manage to bring him in combat. That's the kind of sneaky blade you can shove in your opponent *ss if he's not paying attention. And @Furuzzolo here made a nice combo with it.
  5. Longbeards, yes. The trick is you must set the shields on their back. Warriors, I think you can't, as the left hand is included with the shield. Or maybe setting it so that you don't see it. Edit : Kramer, you're too fast for me... :D
  6. Personnaly, I'll be ok with, I'm doing the same thing. I have 40+ warriors with One handed + shield, but I sometimes use them as Great-Weapons + Shields. I'm not going to buy and paint those minis a second time over a single change of weapon. But I'll explain to you the modification before we start, and ask you if you allow it. That's the least of thing to me. And of course the modification mustn't be too compromised, there is no "My cannon is in fact an Organ gun". That's two different minis with completly differents warscrolls.
  7. Exactly ! Shield wall your enemy, get battered and slowly but surely push him away. That's the duardin way ! Maybe a bonus in Bravery the longer the fight is, or malus for to wound rolls for your opponent. Why not both ? According to some tactics choices, you could get some bonuses for your troops or maluses on to hit/wound rolls for them, or maybe a tricky one : rerolls of successfully wound rolls. You thought you were hitting hard ? Wrong ! But maybe am I going too far on this one...
  8. Cap'tain here: Grand Alliance : Order Errata. Here is the link : https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/age_of_sigmar_grand_alliance_order_errata_en.pdf You've got your answer for both your questions. ;)
  9. As @stato said, there is a thread, but if you want my advice : Freeguild Handgunner. Take 20 of them, those lads are taller than our duardins and can shoot over their heads. Set them behind a two ranks Ironbreakers unit and watch the show ! That's 20 shots 3+/3+/-1/1 if they didn't move with 18" range, and if anyone dares to charge your Ironbreakers head on, that's a counter-firing phase free of charge for you. As your opponent finishes his charge at 3"- of them, you can fill him with bullets with their aptitude. On top of that, add a freeguild general near them, and you are at 2+/2+/-1/1. Enough to see your opponent flip table and start screaming.
  10. Hmm, I'd like to add that I personnaly prefer 2 units of 10 Irondrakes than 1 of 20. Why ? You got a captain twice (yay !), and if one of your units get shot at, the other is still in perfect shape and can safely shoot twice. Plus you force your opponent to think about which one to shoot down first. But that probably come from the fact that my dear beloved one plays BCR, and Irondrakes are DEADLY against monsters. They are shortlegged nukes.
  11. Hi fellows Dawi ! And greatings to you, Furuzzolo. I owe you some of my specials "tricks" and I've been foolowing this thread for some time now. I can confirm, 30 quarrellers can do miracles when buffed with grudges. I've seen a blob of 60 moonclan gobs getting torn apart in two shooting phases. 60 shots, 30+ of them were killing blows, save included. Warriors can be surprisingly tanky too and hold a lot of stuff well while you fill them with holes. I'll take some time to post some of my lists, and maybe some reports in the future here.
