If a wizard that has cast some buff spells dies, do those spells still active get unbound automatically? or do they stay active until the original timing?

I've been trying to catch up on the lore and I've almost finished the last of the realmgate wars books. What next? Malign Portents - Soul Wars novel - Malign sorcery - Forbidden Power. Is that the right order? At what point should I read the newer core rulebook lore and is there anything I missed? Edit: I've also listened to all audibooks available except for Soul Wars and Blacktalon
