Does this mean you can use the chaos dwarf daemons?

Looks great! Do note that if you substitute Durthu for the Prime then you will have too many Sylvaneth units.
So most people prefer Kurnoth Hunters in units of 6 to have Scythes, but I have fielded a unit of 6 greatswords in about 3 tournaments now and they do just fine. I can usually get 5 guys in with a decent charge roll and that is still 20 attacks.
I have mentioned this before, but Durthu just isn't that good without Wyldwoods, Glades, and specific artefacts. He loses probably about 40-50% of his damage output outside of Sylvaneth lists. Drycha is a much stronger option for shooting based movement
Thanks for the answers, what about dropping the hunters and the arch rev and adding drycha and 20 spite revs ? Im thinking that list might be a solid choice .

Fair point, so I would be able to use diffrent comand abilities, do you think the list would be effective, I'm not looking to be supper competitive just be able to hold my own

I like your thoughts. Just to clarify with you, celestant prime does not have a shooting attack for the purposes that he can use the living cities CA. Rather he has an ability used in the shooting phase - a subtle but rather very important point.
That's a very valid point and something my excitement blinded me too, back to the drawing bord

Hi guys, i really want to do a conversion heavy city's army and out of all the city's it has to be the living city 😁 I just have a few questions if I may
Has anyone used a celestant prime in there army? And is he worth it, he's the same points as Dyrthu and has a shooting attack
What's the best build for kurnoth hunters?
I'm thinking of this for my army it's a total wip
Nomad prince
Battle mage
Arch Rev
Celestiant prime
30 eternal guard
10 sisters of the watch
10 sisters of the watch
5 sisters of the thorn
6 kurnoth hunters
Endless spells
Emerald life swarm
pendulum
1 extra cp
Total
1980
Is this a good list to aim for?
I'd like to know from you guys that have played the list
thanks in advance

Im thinking of having a dragon and Durthu I'm my list as they both shoot they should be able to charge most things when they want, this is how list I'm thinking

Yes, Durthu will work well ambushing on. I might give it a go at some time.
I meant both together

It's hard to know what to have with that combo, the list I'm thinking is this. I'm going to convert the crossbows from wild wood rangers

I've just kitbashed a Dreadlord with Exile Blade and Repeater crossbow. I'm going to run him as my General in The Living City. Ironoak Artisan will put him on a 3+ save to compensate for no shield and gives +1 to wound rolls on the Blade.
The aim is to deepstrike from the hidden paths, shoot then use "Strike then melt away" command ability to make a normal move to ensure a 3" charge in my opponent's backfield. He will be accompanied by 5 Sisters of the Thorn (to keep in range) with the Lifesurge spell to heal him and he'll get 1 wound healed each turn from the city.
Artifact will be Spear of the Hunt, which will let him strike first and mean that his Exile Blade will be 6 attacks at 3+,3+, and -1 rend, plus the Dragon attacks.
How successful it will be, I don't know, but I reckon it'll be fun!
I'm thinking of doing the same but with Durthu.

Slaves to Darkness (plus Everchosen) for Chaos, the aforementioned Ogor Tome and thats it. Every AoS faction has a battle tome now, and only a few more to bring all of the to 2.0.
What about KO

The list I'm trying is
Loonboss on squig
Shaman
2x 5 squigs
1 squig gobba
1 colossal squig
10 bounderz

I will feed this all back into @Ben Johnson and the FAQ team at GW.
_____
Bull Centaur Renders 90 x 52mm
Bull Centaur Taur’ruk 90 x 52mm
Daemonsmiths pack - 25mm
Warhammer World Deamonsmith complete with resin base 32mm
Deathshrieker Rocket Launcher 105 x 70mm - Not seen one of these on a 105. Mine are on 120 and look ok
Drazhoath the Ashen 120 x 92mm
Dreadquake Mortar 170 x 105mm - 120 is WAY too small.
Infernal Guard Battle Standard Bearer 25mm - I have a pack of these in my hand and they are packaged with 25mm rounds.
Infernal Guard Castellan 25mm
Infernal Guard Fireglaives 25mm
Infernal Guard Ironsworn 25mm
Iron Daemon War Engine 120 x 92mm
K’Daai Fireborn 50mm
Magma Cannon 105 x 70mm - I use 120 on my magmas and it fills the base. Not sure a 105 is a good idea here?
Shar’tor the Executioner 105 x 70mm
Skullcracker War Engine 170 x 105mm - The 120 is WAY too small._______________
I think the death shreaker should be on the smaller base, but agree with you about the magma and the other messurments :).
-
I have to rebase all my heroes, my death shreikers, and skullcracker I have a tournament in January too . The skullcracker I can live with but the heroes on 25mm will only have room for basic bases the dreadquake is mental the model is 200mm long ?

I played last night. The list was really fun but I think it needs a little something else. Probably some more bodies as I was using the fireglaives for that role.
Drazhoath The Ashen
Daemonsmith
Bull Centaur Taur'ruk
Grotesque
Bull Centaur Taur'ruk
Gryph-feather Charm10 x Infernal Guard Fireglaives
10 x Infernal Guard Fireglaives
10 x Infernal Guard Fireglaives
10 x Infernal Guard Fireglaives
3 x K'Daai Fireborn
Warpfire Dragon
Magma Cannon
Magma Cannon
Skullcracker War Engine2000pts
The Warpfire Dragon is probably the unit that I can swap out. I Its a nice unit but didn't really do much. I felt the army as a whole struggled with lack of retools so i'm considering a BSB in there too Its tough to fit it all in. Maybe swap the dragon for more fireglaives? I'm not sure at the moment.
Another thing is that all my infantry is on 32mm bases. I feel that I could swap them to 25mm and get a bit more mileage from them.
I'd get rid of the dragon for second iron daemon an swap a unit of fire glavesforbsb,

(I use a converted hell cannon as a dreadquake) I'm in the process of converting an iorn daemon. I've taken the guns off, used chaos chariot spikes on the wheels and I'm going to add a ork 40k deff rolla upgrade from the battle waggon to the front aswell.

Nice cannon! Love my big hats too.
I agree the Execution Herd isn't too competitive, at least not in my hands, though I think the centaurs can do fairly well. Maybe just one unit of 6, as they have pretty decent damage output IF a Tauruk uses the +1 to hit ability on them.
My next units to make are big Fireglaive mobs, and a second Skullcracker (the old Chaos Dwarf Tenderizer, to go with the Whirlwind). I don't have any K'daaii Fireborn, so I think the Skullwhackers fill a similar role aside from board control. Plus how to convert old bighats into K'daai is a challenge. I prefer to maintain the old school theme.
I use stone trolls painted to look like flames, it works

Thank you!
These conversion looks pretty Chaos Dwarvish...cool! But it could be difficult to bring it on a base that Is big enough?
You'd have it on a 105×90 the roller if glued right would move up or down aswell I can't take credit for this (But will happily steal it) I found it berried on chaos dwarf . com

The poor tauruk and bull renders look so small these days! Love the blend of old and new as well. Also, a second magma cannon wouldnt be a terrible idea. Looks fun
Thank you, I'm thinking of converting a skull cracker and getting another Magma. Also looking to get anouther 10 blunderbuss and another 10 axe men to make it 30. Do you guys use slaves to darkness I've got 20 goblins and 10 black orcs thinking of using them as warriors and marouders

(Edit i wish i had thought of that, again a thousand apologies) I'm starting to think I need more feet on the ground. These are the models I have what do you guys think would be the best build at 2k and what do you guys think I need to get.
I'm still re basing some models
I have 2 extra bulls
I use the old big hats and use the forge world models for the newer units that don't have old models.
