In a smaller, unrelated update, I just completed six of my screamers with a lackluster paint job, but I can't bring myself to care. Remind me in the future never to pick up metal models again. Things are horrible.

You can only have 2 Mutants/Greatblades per 5 Tzaangor, so even with the spell you cannot exceed that number for the unit.

I'm not competitive and will likely never show up in anything more than a local tournament, but Hosts Arcanum are presently my favorite. They allow me to fill in my battle line options easily enough and bring in a nice blob of Tzaangors or Skyshoal Coven for less. I'm presently 2-0 in the few games I've played against Mawtribes.

This month I would like to finish and base the last if my Tzaangor unit. 9 models left.
I also aim to complete 24 screamers, and build a Fateskimmer.

All of this hullabaloo immediately after the new book comes out just makes me glad I have no investment in either Horrors or Flamers. Not looking forward to seeing the aftermath. Still discouraging though.

Shadow Elves are supposedly Malerion's future race for Ulgu. They've been described as draconic/gargoylesque, but otherwise there's no word on an official army at this time.

I can see the appeal to an army of giant models, but I'm not a fan of gargants at all. Where's my two headed chaos dragon so that I can wreck my SO's Kharadron fleet?

I am aware, but Phantasmagoria has basically no benefit and a higher price tag. It just seems strange that they would put the Tzaangor Coven in this book and not include the leader option. Thankfully, One drop lists aren't that important with deployment right now.

I would really like to know why the Tzaangor Shaman isn't part of the Tzaangor Coven. I imagine it's because I'm not allowed to have nice things. But at least I have battleline Screamers.

I really want to sit down and tinker with a Hosts Arcanum list, but haven't had the time. Definitely not a competitive player; screamers are among my favorite models, and now I can run them as battleline.
In the meantime, my Tzaangor are finally starting to get based. So that's a bonus.

I completely failed my 2019 Resolution to get all of my stuff painted. But between having my car totalled and moving in with my significant other, I'm not too terribly pressed about it.
My goal this year is to finish 1k points of models for my Tzeentch and Sylvaneth army by May. My ventilation hood should be here in Febuary, and i've been working on my disks and Tzaangor since the new year rolled over. I'm fairly confident I can get it done in that time.

Is there a substantial difference in base sizes with a 32mm flying base and a 32mm standard base? I'm trying to figure out how the heck to magnetize my Screamers for fitting into my magnarack and am unsure if the swap would be acceptable.

So, with the Tzaangor change to shields, how were they run previously? How many shields would anyone suggest? I have one blob of 30 right now with four and plan to get more, but would like some input.

Tzaangor warscrolls have changed to require the wounds to be allocated to the shield bearing models first.

Tzaangor and Arcanite shields no longer work the same way. Wounds must be alocated to the model with the shield first. Means I need to redo a whole lot of Tzaangor.

There might be something that hasn't been revealed yet; they do have all week long.
In the meantime, I'm going to go foam at the mouth for multiple sets of dice. They're delightful.
