Pretty dissapointed with the idoneth part.

Lorewise we get our most important relic stolen in our face, then we go to get it back, get stomped and then morathi take pity and give us the now wasted and broken relic, and we go back to hide under a stone under the sea lol

Statswise. Shark lost 4 dmg and won 3, so lost some dmg( only if use the more bite ability he will do rly sligthy better dmg) and got 10p increase.... So the allready bad unit now is even worse, great.

Melee avatar, now he does 3 average less dmg than before, but gained 5fnp and the aura is sligthy better to others( useless to him now) going from rerolls wounds of 1 to +1 to wound. And 30p decrease only. So 330p for a hero doing 10dmg with an +1 to wound aura? Not worth and personally i liked the prior version that did 13 or 14 dmg with sligthy worse aura.

Mage avattar won 5fnp, and can reroll both cast not only 1, go down 50p. Still absolutely useless, it dont do any dmg, and the mage part is worth like 200p maximun, so till it go down to 250-280p will keep being useless.

Turtle, his average save got worse, 3 always or degrading 2-5, i liked the always 3 more. Dmg went up from around 14 to 17, and aura got better, for more points. This is the only real buff of all book, and it is pretty good, dont think it will get a spot on tourneys eel lists, but will be cloose.

Aand thats it. When the tome was the oldest one with dok and nurgle, and was in dire need of a new 2.0 one, with every unit reworked, proper magic, relics, etc etc this book is a kick in the balls for us, since im sure we will have to wait like 3 years more for the new 3.0 tome, so 6 years with same old tome and this lackluster mini update..

    Sry....but no😂

Sharks are a lot better now! They shoot with one attack more WITH rend! So they get their ability triggered more reliable (+1 Attack with Jaws). So they have 4 Attacks with rend 2. Thats realy huge in the current meta with all these 2+ save dudes (I look at you OBR or Seraphon).

I had two Stonehorns charge into nagash once, then the frost spear finished him off.   Seemed almost too easy.

But Katakros has some tricks, just not quite sure what. Seems like he buffs dudes mostly, and until he’s taken many wounds he is pretty weak in combat actually.

Then what else would they have, like 30 Mortek guards?

Yes, the two big dudes, 30 Guards and one katapult.

We canceled it because of corona but in a few weeks we try again.

I think to use 1-2 heavy hitters (Frostlord/Irongutts) and the rest many small units for capturing objektives is a good idea 😁😉

I won my first game versus Ossiarch. I changed my mind, if you play trying to score and avoid been damage you are goning to win.

The battleplan was Focal Points, a battleplane very favourable to us.

I played Breaker Tribe with the +1 to hit Hero and Wizard. Idiots with flags is a trap, your opponent is going to remove the commands first so your skill is useless. It is better to chunk small heroes.

So you avoid the close combat and sat on objectives or you searched for close combat? I dont understood your meaning.

One of the most significant problems for SoB is the fact that a single -1 hit ability will utterly cripple a mega gargant...which is 1/4 your army. Not to mention the rampant -1 hit spells out there. They should have been given a rule that allows them to ignore negative modifiers to hit or wound.

    Nurgle 😓

Well i don't agree with some of the things you said @Scurvydog archaon double pile in khorne or slaanesh kill one of them with just reroll 1 hit, fyreslayers kill them easily, eels just wait T3 and kill the little giant meanwhile while the tanky alpha marauders can kill us and if we took some damages prior we are sure to be dead.

But what we really lack i feel is mobility and projection

But look: Archaon (800p) needs a Keeper (380p) for double pile in. For that you get two Mega Gargants. And a Keeper dies very quick in the current meta.

The age of the KoS is over. If we are honest we would stop mitigating how bad the situation is in this thread. Almost all the things that made the KoS good have been either nerfed or removed from the game. And, ranged dmg has increased, casting buffs have increased and units are better, or 1 wound.

Stop fielding KoS and your results will improve. You'll probably still lose but it will be less one sided.

Thats so sad because with a KoS we have a damn pretty model😢

  7. Hey guys

Yesterday I had my first and probably last game against a Tzeentch Eternal Conflagation List with 2x10 Horrors, 2x6 Flamers, 6 exalted Flamers and a lot of Heroes.

I tried Archaon the first time and played a Keeper and tried Warriors and fast Seekers.

Turn 3 I skipped the game. I dont want mourn but that wasnt fun. Turn one he shot my fast units and a double turn later my heroes died...

Whats your experience with shooting Tzeentch and how did you manage this?

  8. After the Malign arefacts are gone I think about a tripple Keeper List with Shalaxi. But I am not shure if he is worth it.

So i just got the armybook, one Tyrant, one unit of 6 gutbusters and 4 leadbelchers to start with my AoS army. Do you have any advice what to buy next to reach 1000p? I´m thinking to get our get started box and one butcher but should I get something else or more?

Ironguts are always worth their points. Even an unit of 4 can kill almost everything 👍🏻

Do you guys remember when we had weapon options for the Castellan? Or when fireglaives had special rules against monsters? Sometimes I miss those.

Are they any abilities/rules lost or changed in the period of aos updates you guys miss?

    No

My LRL are arriving today and I’m planning lists.

I’m pretty sure I’ll be using Teclis for the foreseeable future. I’m liking the idea of a magic heavy list for a change.

What lists have people been putting together?

This is what I have on paper to start off.

    Allegiance: Lumineth Realm Lords
    - Great Nation: Iliatha

    Leaders
Archmage Teclis and Celennar, Spirit of Hysh(660)
    Scinari Cathallar (140)

    Battleline
    20 x Vanari Auralan Sentinels (280)
    20 x Vanari Auralan Sentinels (280)
    10 x Vanari Auralan Wardens (120)
    10 x Vanari Auralan Wardens (120)

    Units
    10 x Vanari Auralan Sentinels (140)

    Battalions
    Auralan Legion (120)

Endless Spells / Terrain / CPs
    Umbral Spellportal (70)
    Rune of Petrification (70)

    Total: 2000 / 2000
    Extra Command Points: 1
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 91

Thats a perfect example for an army I wouldnt play against with  a lot of sniping heroes bulls***.
This plays  in the same league like the petrifex (before the nerf) and horror-flamer-heavy Tzeentch armies.

  12. Hey

A good day for my fat half-naked guys! I played against a Tzeentch list with Kayros and a second Lord of Change. And a bunch of mortals (Good for me: no flamers and horrors).

I played a lot of Gluttons, Iron Guts and Stone Horns. The other player was so suprised about the damage Output of the Iron Guts (21 Wounds for the LoC).

Now I LOVE Iron Guts. Do you think an unit of 4 is enough or better using 8?

It was a close and very funny match.
