It is not a qualifier. The only source of context are the written rules. Personally I think as written it is mixed, but intent is not mixed. You can only go by your interpretation of the rules on the page (Sadly!)

So the GW warscroll builder has finally been updated for Slaves to Darkness.
Yay.
But Chaos Warriors do not give you a choice of mixed units or a per model choice, as Tzangors do. Only a unit choice.
Boo!
So either the warscroll is wrong (or some players' interpretations are), or the builder is wrong.
Place your bets everyone!
Scroll builder is not a reliable rules source. It is fantastic but it is not the rules.

Personally I think undivided is the strongest mark because of the ignore battleshock effect that saves you CPs to spam your abilities.
If you ever played against rats you how strong ignore battleshock+death frenzy+lots of bodies is.
Agreed, except with Archaon as general. Which annoys me as I wanted to stay undivided. Nevertheless, the great thing is there aare so any options that seem useful.

But Liberators won't get new models, so they won't get good rules.
I usually refrain from that kind of sarcasm, but it's what sprang to mind first...
This is not how it works...
Chaos Warriors and Knights are by far not the strongest units in the new Slaves book, for example...

True !
Archaon : 160mm
Katakros : 120mm
ARCHAON WINS AGAIN
and Katakross has a high chair too.

That seems overcomplicated to me.
Personally I would not have it as a universal rule. For Ogors, it makes sense that the beasts count as ten. For me, though, I'd have stormcast heroes count as 5. To reflect the heroism of the army. Plus all stormcast = 2.
-
Liberators really need staunch defender and to count for 2 on an objective.

Talking of game breaking allegiance abilities, as a Tzeentch player, I'm not saying anything.... Hahaha destiny dice literally break the most core function of a dice game. And I love it!
and arguably Scions of the Storm breaks deployment rules. There is a valid point in there about a lack of interactivity but this one isn't it.

For me I think the biggest problem is the battleshock immunity. It just feels unnecessary. They could have just made it a command ability...

One option is to make the Anvils command ability not work on shooting but be useable at the end of any hero phase. Might be too good, but in a CP-starved army, would at least come at a cost... This would then free up longstrikes for points reduction and/or boosts to their rules.

One of the things I would really like is Libertors to have Staunch Defender for units wholly within 1" of them(so they can be bodyguards for bubblewrapped characters). Or near an objectives
.
The other thing I like the idea of is that deploying in the sky doesn't count as a drop. This gives more chance of winning deployment but at a cost. IMO stormcast should be a strike force that reacts fast and yet they are constantly on the backfoot in this regard.
This would be accompanied by the restriction that you cannot deep strike turn 1 (vanguard would be able).- 1

Got a question that has no doubt not come up often:
Drakesworn Templar - Skybolt BowIf you score one or more hits on an enemy unit with this model's Skybolt Bow, add 1 to hit rolls for attacks made by friendly DRACOTHIAN GUARD units that target that enemy unit until the end of that turn.
Does this stack with 2 Templars.
I am convinced it doesn't, but I cant find the core ability stacking rules in my collection at the moment (I'll keep hunting).
Why wouldn't it stack?
(Not sure why you would want to unless you have negative modifiers to contend with)

Yeah they pretty much said themselves that terrain kits without rules/generic rules don't really sell well but once they do what they did with the faction terrain people jump on it.
And then they went and released various sets of high quality terrain sets for both 40k and AOS that are not faction-based...

Which One piece of terrain did the orruk warclans and the squatted of squatmar recieve. It would be great if EVERY faction did have terrain. But they don't and that makes them inherently unfair and unfun to play against.
Take sylvaneth they have treelords dryads and kurnoth hunters these are all capable units. They then get FREE terrain that aids these units and debuffs their enemies. How is this balanced or fair???
Have you ever played the game?

i think the biggest problem with ossiarchs is the base troop is too small for the "elite armor faction"
chaos: chaos warriors on 32mm
order: liberators on 32mm
destruction: ardboys on 32mm
death: bonemeal terracotta soldiers on 25mm
if they beefed up the mortek guard to look like they could go toe to toe with the other 3 "marines" then they'd look awkward manning the catapults. I feel like they should of had a noncombat "worker" unit which would make sense as somebody needs to grind the bones to make the clay, shape it into the various pieces for the constructs, etc. So it kinda feels like a wasted opportunity.
Are they the elite armour faction? Why does it have to be this way? It seems you have a preconceived notion and are ending logic to suit that. Having said that, I'm surprised as anyone to see them so small.
-
A few scattered thoughts I had where having each unit in the sky not counting as a drop for first turn determining reasons. It emphasises our rapid strike force capabilities.
Also Liberators should count for 2 models on an objective. I quite like the idea of them having staunch defender (with a 1inch bubble).

I'm glad my question about Envoys wasn't as stupid as it seemed!
Does it mean that, for example, I am always in range of the Dreadwood command ability or the generic ones? -
So, Envoys of the Everqueen. How does this rule work? Obviously things like the TLA or Alarielle's Command Ability's always affect them and radiate from there. Are there other ways to use this ability?

Anvilstrike is our Blue deck.
"Can I have my big monster?" No
"Can I have my little buffing Hero?" No
"Can I make a charge move?" NoThis is why I stopped using Anvils with the new GHB. I'd hoped they would open up new routes of list approach but they doubled down on it. I don't like the gaming experience it creates anymore

What makes you think that?
The Glades Allegiance Ability clearly states: “If your army is a Sylvaneth army you can give it a Glade keyword. All Sylvaneth units in your army gain that keyword.”
Technically, Ylthari’s Guardians would have two different Glade keywords if you run a Glade other than Oakenbrow. But since you only get any abilities for the Glade you pick (“If you pick one [Glade] from the list below, all units with that keyword benefit from the extra abilities...”) the Oakenbrow keyword is redundant.
Interesting. In Stormcast it has a caveat discussing what happens if they already have one a stormhost keyword. But nothing of that kind with Sylvaneth. Makes you wonder what the point of it is on the warscroll at all. On the other hand it is good as it leapfrogs the clunkiness of having a unit in your army that doesn't benefit from the glade.
-
You can take Ylthari in non-Oakenbrow lists but they do not benefit from the chosen glade ability (eg. 2 hits on a 6) and cannot use Oakenbrow abilities in a non-Oakenbrow army. -
One of the best things about our army is that I don't think it is mandatory to do anything. What that list does really well is mobility and board space and the potential for a really tough threat range on strong units with the spiteswarm. On objective games your opponent always needs to keep on objectives and you (reasonably) reliably pick off isolated units and redeploy on the next turn. You can use all the bdies to make sure the game is played on your terms.
Not my kind of list as I hate Dryads but very clever.

It really does feel like there have been delays. This still won't be all of the Space Marine models.

Not sure why it is a rip off. It is a gorgeously sculpted model.

Nice changes. The only other change I'd make is give TLAs a second spell. Otherwise we are very nicely balanced.
