Yeah I was asking because of the 40k cadence but I don't think they have spelled anything out for us with a fancy picture like they did 40k.

Will the January FAQ just be rules with points coming in GHB 2019 or will the faq handle tweaks to points as well?

I planned on taking 2 units of aetherwings they look just insane for stopping a lot of charges as you mentioned. My question is the 6-9 longstrikes worth more than 2-3 ballista? Any sce list can take either and I only ever see the ballista but wasn't sure why.

It's fairly solid imo, though it plays much different. Good that you have that many Palladors, I think you can run a 6-9 man unit as a strong anvil unit, especially if you have an Aquilor following them around with Staunch. They don't kill well, but for the points they're fairly hard to kill, and if you constantly use the Aquilor CA to teleport them off and then charge back in, you're getting a lot of use out of Shock and Awe to make them even harder to shift.
Do you have any Longstrikes in that set? 6+ of them on the table is still quite scary for many armies to face.
A few pages ago I also mentioned starting a vanguard list and I have been working on it with one question. Between hurricane crossbow, longstrike raptors, Castigators and Ballista, how do you really decide on supporting troops?
hurricane seems like its very spam heavy but might be good. Longstrike seems to be very guaranteed damage which can also be good. However I see most people take a Ballista these days and I am assuming they are under costed. What is the point of taking these other units over a Ballista?

It says one additional because if it was worded in another way, "counts as having one supporting fighter" the reverse argument would be had. If I had a physical model someone would say to me I can't have 2 supporting fighters because the card states I have one. The intention of this card is very clear that if I have no supporting fighters I now have one. If the intention wasn't clear this would come up in tournament play and be in the faq.

@pufnstuf Warhammer tv did a whole show about the event and talked about some of the lists in detail, just today actually.

I'm really really happy with the warbands. It's nice to see such unique forces being added to the game. They have really done a great job with Shadespire offering a plethora of choices to players. It really is my favorite GW game.

My buddy is offering to part with some unpainted vanguard models. I think its most of a start collecting box. I don't main stormcast but have been thinking about playing them as a second army. I've heard this is the 'worst' chamber but I love the way they look and farstriders. Anyway are there any competitive lists that run this chamber and if so what are some strategies I could use with their units, they look more hit and run?

Thanks for the replies about the hordes! I honestly have run saurus with clubs in groups of 10 but never tried the 40 block. I don't even think I own 40 warriors. I've been playing around a lot with firelance as I like the ascetic. I'll look into the rippers for horde killing. I didn't really consider them to be honest. I saw them more as a unit for getting the drop on a hero.
Quick follow up question:
I see a lot of lists that run carno at all running it at scar veteran. I thought most people prefer old blood for command ability + range damage. Also I kind of saw old blood as the defacto monster killer. Is that not the case anymore?

Just a quick question. What are you players doing to beat nagash 40 blocks? Are you mashing tar pits with tar pits, putting ripper-dactyls on the necro, or something else?
I guess a simpler question is what tools are you using to effectively deal with or ignore hordes?

Just got the core set for this game. Will take some advice from this thread to build some balanced decks and try to get some friends into the game as well.

Hey guys!
Have you seen Sylvaneth qualified 2nd at the Warhammer Fest Europe?
Sylvaneth army has lost the final match Vs DoK.
By the way, I am not able to find the lists of this event: do you know something about it?
Yes, I uhm might have asked @ragnar72 nicely to derail a discussion in another thread and post the list.

@Ragnar72 Very cool thanks for sharing. I like the paint. I'd love to read a write up in a more appropriate thread! Would be useful to me I'm always unsure of what to summon in, but in that list I'm guessing it was tree lord auto include.

Congrets @DantePQ !!
I was your last opponent with Sylvaneth (but no Gnarlroot). I can confirm you played your list really perfectly! It was interesting to see the daughters work that fine and made me really sad for my army to see after 30 minutes I donˋt really have anything left to steal you the victory!
As a Sylvaneth player do you mind sharing your list. How you played to get so far and what you think went wrong on the final table?

AoS 2 - Beasts of Chaos Discussion

Can someone explain this to me? I read this as the answer is just confirming the question but starts with no. What is the difference here?
Q: Does the note in the Pitched Battle profile for Tzaangors in the Beasts of Chaos battletome mean that they can only ever be Battleline if they are included in a Beasts of Chaos army with a Tzaangor Shaman as their general? A: No. Tzaangors are only not Battleline units when they are taken as part of a Beasts of Chaos army that does not have a Tzaangor Shaman as its general.
