Over on Honest wargamer they have been collecting tournament stats for a while. Stormcast is the second most popular army after LON. After them it is a big gap to number 3.
Probably not the fairest measure since it is heavily influenced by the strength support of different armies.

Does this forum have polling functionality? Would be interesting if someone took a poll of what everyone's primary army is.

Well if this ends up being like malign portents then it may prototype the next 4 armies coming with leaders. You know the more I think it the more likely it is.
That would be awesome. I think having a concrete sense of 4 upcoming armies was great for keeping us customers/fans engaged in anticipation.

Looks like Soulblight is getting a battletome this year. I've always wondered why more rumors don't swirl around them. They'd make a lot of sense for a revamped look.

The part about the strigoi:Well that‘s just wrong
For the rest: not exactly but in a way you confirmed what I said.
if you are interested in every detail they added with two clicks just pm me and I‘ll gladly explain it to you (as soon as I don‘t have to type on a cell phone)
Saying these guys look alike is like saying the megaboss looks like a brute. Of course they do because they're the same race. However nearly every element of this guy is clearly not the same as the other. Like the other commenter, I'll grant you the 1 foot is probably reused.

Anyone able to snap a pic of assembly instructions for ironbreakers? I got some off ebay with no instructions.

The new Archregent for example is an awesome model! And that is Though it‘s also a 70% recycle =} (enough was changed to make it unique and Interesting.
imo we never had issues with too few hero choices...Pretty much all the rest except for behemoths is lacking
would be cool though how would ordinary zombies fit in?
Could you explain how it is a recycle? Which model does it recycle from?

Thematically they already have the Mausoleum. I’m going to just use that and stick some spirit hosts on a few of them.
They missed an opportunity to give it rules and officially link it then!

In the second Stormcast podcast, the designer of the BoC mentioned they were planning on releasing apiece of terrain for every army moving forward.
Weird that Nighthaunt didn't get one.

Gentlemen, I have squinted really hard at the Abhorrant Archregent warscroll and I have divulged this:
- normal King healing
- a spell that adds +D6 to all attacks on a unit wholly within something (looks like 14")
- command ability that summons either 1 COURTIER, something something REVENANTS or a unit of 20 SERFS.
So either my eyes are failing, or there's some major renaming going on, or we are getting new stuff.
Wild speculation: Serfs are repurposed Zombie kit.
Interesting they would reuse some vocabulary (r.e. Bladegheist Revenants)

Aye, its the biggest thing AoS needs at present; far more than new epic models. Securing factions like this and confirming their future in the range and the nature of that future is a huge thing and opens up a lot of doors for new players.
Agreed. Its nuts that you can't point new players to a battletome for their chosen army in all cases. Trying to catch everyone up with endless spells and often special terrain seems important as well, although on that front I'm guessing it is more of just a good business move/something easy to make and sell.

Hm. I don't know how to feel about this. On the one hand... great! A battletome, dice, terrain, spells... These are Good Things. On the other, I feel like this pretty definitively closes the door on new Skaven models for a while, especially on the Gloomspite-style launch I really had my fingers crossed for.
Bit disappointed if I'm honest, though that's not to say I'm not grateful for what we're getting.
With models essentially guaranteed for Darkoath/StD and Slaanesh this year, I don't personally see a lot of room for too many other full scale releases. I would love to be surprised though.

I wouldn’t take these rumours too seriously. Call me skeptical but the last time someone came on tga saying they were in the know, it ended up just being guess work.
Well it won't take long to test how good his intel is. The Seraphon rumor is brand new and an extremely fast approaching timeline. If it turns out to be true it would be hard to chalk it up to dumb luck!

I doubt any of our stuff will be removed, just a couple kits be added.
Well moonclan did get new fanatics and squigs so sometimes this can be hard to predict and obviously there is a precedent for refreshing old models!

If there is any truth to the Dispossessed rumors from earlier this week, what do people think we'd be getting?
Would a unit like ironbreakers potentially get a refresh? While on the one hand it is still a pretty good looking set, on the other, the poses are static since they were still designed for ranking up in formation.

I can't remember where I saw it but I am fairly confident that Soul cage only makes the target unit the last to go of all your opponents units. It doesn't put them in line behind all of your units.

Even though the batallion requirements are knight of shrouds rather than Knight Of Shrouds?
I'm not sure what distinction you are trying to make. Both warscrolls have the keyword KNIGHT OF SHROUDS.

Can use mounted KoS as well.

Hmmm. Thanks! Getting rid of the GoS and adding the Cogs leaves me with 180 points to play with- 12 Glaivewraiths? Another ten Grimghasts? 2 Chainghasts and some Myrnmourn Banshees?
I'm a bit miffed the Bladegheists aren't out yet, as 20 of them would fit beautifully!
*10 of them.
I'm also looking forward to their release in a little over a week!
