Public law huh? Maybe you need to drag out of theory and into reality, cause things don't tend to go in real life the way the law clearly delineates. After all, rich and poor alike are barred from sleeping under bridges.

And, again, words are better at communicating things. You know, that thing we evolved specifically to communicate complicated concepts?

Yes, most of the time it isn't a problem. But then you come up against a bully who goes "Oh, well of coooourse you aren't playing faction X when you are clearly painted faction X you powergamer" or goes to whine to a TO about how your paint scheme and faction don't match and they should be given a free victory. Because this hobby has plenty of bad folks who play it who are looking for any edge to win, or just demanding you cater to their whims and your own opinions matter not. I mean, particularly because of the price range of this hobby you get folks who go through life expecting that sort of thing.

How many times in real life has that actually happened to you?

  2. A lot of these arguments honestly only seem to actually happen on the internet.

Attending a event with SCE painted like Hammers but when to run them as Anvils? Contact the TO, politely explain, I'm 99.9% sure the answer will be "no problem, just be clear with your opponent"

Playing a buddy in real life "Hey man, can I use these SCE as anvils rather then hammers"?

Pretty sure that's the whole issue resolved.

  3. If you want to play only matched play, absolutely everything you need to play is in the GHB. When you played a matched play game you pick a "battle pack" and you draw all the resources you need (grand strategies, battle tactics, battleplans, etc etc) from it. The "battlepack" inside the GHB and contains everything you need to play matched play, as well as the core rules. Unless you want to read the lore, play open & narrative play or want to enjoy the amazing artwork you don't need the core rule book in anyway to play matched play or attend tournaments.

    Max size is starting size.

Okay so if I lose 5 pinks, destiny dice battle shock into a 1, and gain 3 back. so have 8 pinks, 10 blues. Can I still try and rally the other 2 pinks? As I have 18 models in the unit which is above starting size.

  5. You can 100% split into more then your original size. I'm not sure if the clause "this rule allows this unit to exceed maximum unit size" means you're able to also exceed via other means (lifeswarm, rally, fold reality) etc.

Also what is maximum size, as the unit size inflates and deflates during the game.

The low by in is the only reason im even considering it right now. Its just low enough that it will probably draw in a lot of people who are curious at first.

100%, it's very good value and it's a very low buy in. Even if you just wanted one of the 5-6 services on offer, £6 a month is enough to say yes and not really worry about it y'know.

  7. Looking at the points we came of reallyyyyyyy good, a basic Slann only going up by 5 points is fantastic, he's a still a 3 casting wizard, +1 to cast/unbind/dispel, board wide, supplies command points, some armies pay half that for 1 cast wizard so I think that's a big win. Engine of the gods only going up by 5 point and being a hero and a monster is a huge win, heroic action + monstrous rampage per turn for only 5 points extra!

We got some small increase elsewhere to keep up with the "inflation". Honestly Seraphon are going to be still sitting really high in the meta after the changes, still in a really good spot.

  8. There is nothing with Saurus warriors, they're just not a fantastic warscroll at the same time, slow, with average melee out put. Saurus knights in Koatyls claw put out a lot of attacks and are faster moving. A Koatyls Claw list focused around Saurus knights I think will give most lists a game.

  9. Seraphon point changes seem fair, think Engine of the gods being a hero + monster for only a tiny points increase is a big W, especially as summoning 10 saurus is more relavent now points have gone up. Basic slann at only 5 points increase seems absolutely golden as well. Sink chief on steg got a hefty increase but he is a hero and monster with good output, will be good to build some lizard lists with the new points.

Gotrek is looking absolutley mad good if his warscroll stays the same for reduced points.

Ardboyz work better reinforced where Brutes are fine in 5s and they have better quality of attacks (volume/damage). They also have 1 more wound per body making them more valuable to Mystic Shield or AoD. Id pay more for Brutes any day of the weak (they also look miles better 😉)

Agreed Ardboys better reinforced, and agree brutes are better in 5s.

  11. I mean it's 100 for  Ardboyz now and 130 for brutes, so brutes went up by 50 while ardboyz went up 20? For me that makes ardboyz value.

The above list also has the warchanter twice at two different points so seems a tad suspect.

  12. There are now two types of battalions in Warhammer Age of Sigmar. The warscroll battalions you know and love are for units of renown and represent a specific focus, a special leader, or additional training. On the other hand, core battalions are intended to balance out the various units in exchange for distinct abilities.

Does this mean battletome batallions are still legal?
