My fingers are crossed for Brodd!! Though hell most likely come as a Leader for 3.0. But I would love a look at the Battletome cover!!

I think we may get the same picture as is used on the audiobook, this is where we're at speculating which art may be used :D

What in the what!? That is bloody beautiful mate I love it!!

Yeah the artist did far better then I could've ever imagined! Im super happy seeing it.
And i'll be sporting them whenever those tournaments open again when I rock the big boys, also got a custom poseable gargant plushie with dice bags on his belt incoming too! I really bought into the hype of sons ^^

Gosh darn give me some rules previews I cant wait anymore :D

  3. Still Gargant related In a way, but a Warhammer Community i'm part of hard a little art piece commissioned. And I absolutely love it ❤️ got it slapped on a bunch of stuff to really rep the gargants whilst out at tournaments  ^^'

On topic, I doubt well be seeing a ranged option in the mancrusher/aleguzzler kit, but if they where to have one i'd say that chunk of building on a chain bit could be thrown pretty effectively :D

THIS IS INCREDIBLE!! EARLY OCTOBER RELEASE IS PERFECT!!

I hope they release this in Paperback!!

They can keep bringing more random Sons stuff out and ill just add it to the buy on release heap.
Gargant sized dice, Gargant size dice bags, comedy gargant 3x size tape measures.

But I definitely feel this is a sign of rough time estimate (Or they may come out the week before!) would be very weird to have a audiobook for a race that...isn't buyable 😛

  5. Im hoping for the early side of October also now ^^'

I've been waiting for more Aleguzzlers to come back in stock....anywhere at all so I can do the next projects alas, I feel like theyre holding them back for the release now so they have a pile of them.

I think Kraken Eater may just be. Using his net to ensnare units perhaps?

I'd think the Warstomper would be anti-horde from the name, just stomp on all the infantry :D
    Kraken-Eater for anti monster.
    Gatebreaker for high armour?

It's all so hard to guess, but you'd assume each one would cover a weakness.

I'd like to a see a stuff it in your bag upgrade to shove bigger models in your bags with them too :D

I wouldnt be suprised to find out the Bonegrinder is discontinued once it's current stock sells through. I hope not, but I wont be surprised.

Glad I picked one up regardless, as it's a cracking model.

As I said previously, I would just use it as a mega if it didn't get rules ^^

If this is the truth, then I'm definitely  running 3 Mancrushers and 3 Megas.

Im thinking competitively, dependant on rules for objective holding, the middle ground of 6 and 2 is probably going to be the way forward to actually be able to spread out around the board for presence.

Do we think we could see something similar to sentinels/vehicle squadrons in 40k, where we buy 3, then they all become individual units when placed?

Also note for 1k/doubles we can only field
    Big Boy
    3 mancrushers or 2 mancrushers+ CP

So we'll have to purely see what Mega is best for 1k, and that's our only real choice 😛
Our turns will be super quick with only 4 models in that level.

In meeting engagements, we may not be able to even play it at 1k?
Our basic 3 giants and 1 leader to fill out a meeting engagement team will be over 1k, unless we can opt to leave rearguard or spearhead completely empty.

But hey - Forge World stuff is never either mentioned in articles and in GHB - so could be Forge World miniature or upgrade kit.

Weirdly enough from leaks shown, the big Forge World Khorne Dragon is in their updated points, which is indeed unique as they don't usually get points in the GHB.

Im holding out for the rumour engine bits to be a leader figure released later down the line. But I would totally be ok with more bits to play around with in a upgrade kit, although I doubt it would be since the giant kit is already pretty good in terms of customisation (though please give more left handed weapon choices D:)

Yeah exactly, I wouldnt be suprised to see July be exclusively 40K and a good chunk of August as well. I'm hoping for a late August release for the Sons but it may end up being September.

Gosh no! I don't want to wait any longer 😧

We can still pray for a super unlikely but sneaky preorder preview tomorrow of sons to be released alongside the Indom box right?

With initial points given i'm wondering (Albeit uselessly cause no rules) If 3 big boys 3 small is the way forward, or 6 Small boys 2 big. Will the Megagargants be worth taking multiples of the same type. Too many questions!
No battalions is a little unfortunate so we won't ever be a 1-3 drop army, to go first against strong all in one battalions, but what can we expect with so few units anyway. Hoping for subfactions still.

I agree with @KingBrodd that they were most likely to released in june ahead of new 40k.  And as others have said as it's such a small (chuckle) release it could well be slotted in between 40k releases so we dont have to wait too long.

On that note however, am I the only one being looked at funny in thier local gaming sphere for not wanting the new 40k box and instead saving for more gargants?

I'll just have to get it all, as a necron user I can't let down some of the friends wanting a split for their new SM halves ^^'

Another giant done, the Dankhold Trogg-Giant, the pieces fit pretty well on the aleguzzler kit :)

This completes all my current giant based products, unless I find another giant hanging around soon, so a group picture of them all is in order!

  12. My next two Aleguzzlers themed after armies/realms.

Here we have a old beardy wizard giant (Just in case we get wizards!) Sylan Dawnbreaker from the realm of light.

The Giant from the realm of metal- Kurden Cloudstomper
And the silliest idea yet, it started off completely different, ended up in the bin once in stubborness, then made its way back out to see him through, the more it went on the more I loved the stupidity of it.

This takes me to 10 aleguzzlers fully painted/converted and with only 1 more to go till all the realms are done 1f642.png

  13. First official bit of Sons news any is better then none!

Although we really already knew it, we can ally with everyone but have better alleigance benefits with Destruction Factions. (This is 3 player mode/doubles rule, not standard matched play, but may give clues as to our allies anyway ;) )

  14. I'm not quite sure what to put the giants at stat wise, especially with the different variants.
Aleguzzlers, possibly to go down maybe 10-20 points if unchanged? They aint great at the moment, but may get an overhaul and addition of rules may make them worth their current points.
I think we'll look at 22-28 wounds depending on variant with a 3/4+ and looking at 450-550points
IF we get a certain named boy, i'm thinking 800+ points with 30+ wounds, with a special rule to make mega's battleline.

Things I believe/hope will be our faction wide rules (Not sub-faction, if we have any at all!)

Aleguzzlers count as 5 models for the purpose of objective scoring.
    Mega-gargant variants/Bone-grinder count as 10

When a giant dies, inflict d3 mortal wounds to all enemy units within 3" for Aleguzzlers or 1d6 within 6" for Megagargants

Thick flesh- reduce the rend of all weapons targeting Sons of Behemat by 1 also reduce damage of attacks by 1 (To a minimum of 1)

    We can hope! :D

They havent mentioned it yet but honestly I would be shocked if he wasnt. Seeing as their is only 2 kits for the Sons, a 3rd from Forgeworld that is already in production is a very safe bet.

Indeed, no mention yet. But it did get taken out of the Gloomspite gitz category on FW and moved to "Monsters" so maybe a keyword change eventually when it drops ^^' If not i'd just use him as a variant mega-gargant anyway.

Fantastic, just had to check as the cover art is the same as the Fantasy boxed set. I'll definitely be grabbing the 3 for £80, thanks for the heads up mate!!

Dunno why they don't update the picture ^^ But all giants are packaged like this now unless you find a historic left over big boy from fantasy days.
It's a cracking deal, at buy 2 get one free :P

****** that's an incredible deal, literally an extra Gargant for just over the price of 2 from GW!! Is it the Fantasy kit with a Square base or an Oval AOS one?

Its always been the newest boxed Giant,  in that it comes with both bases in the box.

I especially like the big guy's grimy, yellowed teeth. Looks great, sir.

Is the Bone Grinder a solid piece of resin and relatively heavy or is it hollow?

He comes in 4 pieces, he's fairly decent in weight, and he's solid for sure.

    The body (All of it!)
    Left Arm
    Right Arm
Chain/bock that attaches to the stick.

I'm really hoping for August now ^^' I had really hoped for it to be bundled with lumineth also but alas.

If people are in the UK, keep an eye of elementgames, they offer a 3 pack of Aleguzzler Gargants for a total of a 33% discount on them.
I got mine the two days after their estimated stock coming in day.
