, but yeah the really static ones like the Loonshrine and now this thing don't make as much sense. With my Loonshrine I assume my goblins are always defending and they live where ever the battle is happening.

it actually created by the bad moon every time it show up in the sky it rain down meteors onto the ground and apparently they just end up moon shape in the end

for the Throne, the Ghoul king probably just use magic to animate the bone into a chair shape throne and the pedestal area just happens to be there

This basically applies to most of the new scenery pieces. Who carries a Moon Shrine mountain with a cave in it and a 20 foot tall stone Monolith Herdstone?

Well the beastmen actually do lug that monolith everywhere they go and into battle

the moonshrine is actually created on the battlefield before hand via meteor fall by the da bad moon

I'll be purchasing almost everything available in the Skaven part of the release.  I am curious to see if Poison Wind Mortars and Warpfire Throwers aren't usable however.

I would not know how they would put  Skyre acolyte in considering how hard it is to get a unit of them in the field, rat swarm are the other thing I don't know if they will keep. I have a feeling that a lot of stuff won't make it into the tome.

  4. thinking about doing a Gobbapalooza build, my plans is just hand of mork 60 superbuff grots with battleshock immunity, rerolling charges, fanatics, and +1 attack at the enemy. and if they all die I hope I can roll that 4 to get them all back when I need them

For me the support would have been to give us at least one kit which includes unique models for our heroes)

    🥺😣

Umm the Archreagant hero  from the Box doesn't count?

TBH I would have at least hope a named hero character (Ushoran) or plastic Varghulf

I can't believe people are being salty about this release. For ages people have asked that GW update old WHFB factions. Either you get a book, some endless spells and a scenery piece or you can wait for years to get a full model update. GW can't release new model ranges for every old faction every other month.

    What do people expect?

I am pretty sure everyone ideally wants a Gloomspite or DoK type release.

But I think FEC have such a small model range to begin with is not helping.

Happy to see the fans of the armies liking the new stuff. Still though I was hooping for at least a new unit each. Skaven’s range is ancient and stopping me from starting it.

yeah some of the models are like 15-20 years old, it like craftworld eldar bad

Note that when they announced Carrion Empire they only alluded lightly to more things coming "eventually" for the army; nothing about eventually being "on the same day"

yeah but their MO is usually to give a sentence in the end of the article that there are more things to come for these two armies. the Preorder article didn't have one.

Fence corpses: corpse cart (as well as pretty much all the corpses they used)

    Fence: GW Graveyard

    Horses: Nighthaunt horses.

the bone chalice: spirit-magic thingy of the NH hourglass.

    it‘s pretty much 80% Recycling.

it probably them reusing CAD files that having the same design. Granted the Endless spell seem to stuff they make quickly and on the fly.

So do we foresee most/all factions as having terrain features in the future?

Endless spells was always kind of a given, but it's surprising to me that we have all these armies lugging buildings at each other.

I think it because AoS has a lack Terrain pieces so it there way of making battlefield more colorful

I just noticed that with this release Grand Alliance Death becomes the first to have all their currently advertised armies with a new Battletome! Of course this assumes GW doesn't release another tome or recombine models or unleash something new. However it means that Grand Alliance Death is now the most up to date in the whole game!

Chaos and Destruction hot on its heels with Order lagging (partly due to aelf faction spam).

yeah it really just Slaanesh, Everchosen/Darkoath, and Gutbuster left. of course both could use updated BT for existing faction like Ironjawz, BCR, Khorne ect.

I noticed that there no dice for FEC

Remember this isn't an enveryting show - this is what's coming next week - they could still have a wave 2 of models for either army

I believe they would have tease something at the end of the article if that was the case

    Also theory...

GW are releasing two battletomes in one week because the release schedule for the year is packed.

yeah I think the 40K event in March is going to be big

Yeah I mean technically they could release new minis, any time later.

especially if they are going to just replace some old kit.

well they usually only do it when there a new Tome or codex releases unless your stormcast or a shadespire release

  14. 2 minutes ago, Overread said:

Aye, its the biggest thing AoS needs at present; far more than new epic models. Securing factions like this and confirming their future in the range and the nature of that future is a huge thing and opens up a lot of doors for new players.

true but I would never encourage a new player to buy any resin models from the GW store if they didn't know want they were doing.

  15. 19 minutes ago, Ungface said:

They already stated this year will be bigger.

Also, im certain KO and Sylvaneth will be getting something this year. Every nightvault warband has coincided with incoming releases for their faction.

not exactly true, DoT warband didn't coincided with any known or rumor release so far. though 5 out of 6 warband isn't bad I guess

I also doubt the release for this year could be bigger than 2018 just because last year was a release of new edition of AoS and had fewer 40k releases

I'd be fine with a light model year,  but i'd hope we see a good deal of tome releases if that's the case. Those have a much faster turn around, and an injection of rules for fairly fleshed out armies would do wonders for the health of the game. If someone told me BoC were going to win a major event a year ago, i'd have laughed at them. xD

Not that AoS is at all in an unhealthy state mind you! xD

I mean Skaven, FEC, Slaanesh, and Darkoath is already a lot of tomes to begin with (if rumors are true), granted I do expect the Chaos release to be somewhat spaced from one and another. and there always a chance that there a stormcast Battletome this year.

There's at least two weeks of Cultists and the pre orders for week 1 only went out today.

After that there might be something else (Lord of the Rings or Specialist) then I'd wager the next thing is the Flesheaters and Skaven. It's the most complete "pre-release" info GW has given us. After that, or before, we'd be in dire need of a new preview event to set up AoS for the next few months. Since after that the only thing we've got is general "stuff coming for Slaanesh" hints and the like - ergo no concrete info.

So some time in Feb or start of March I'd wager we are up for a preview of things to come.

March has been heavily hinted at as a big 40k event where Abbadon is suppose to be coming to Vigilus since the countdown ends around that time. it probably going to kick of a 40K global campaign and chaos marine release
