So as far as a soulblight army is concerned, there were some hints in the blood bowl presentation on Saturday that there’s a classic horror team on the way. Sadly that could explain all the vampire and werewolf rumor threads we’ve been seeing. I hope I’m wrong, as is really like a soulblight AOS army

i think it for the Necrmantic team that they revealed in August

    https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/08/07/terrifying-touchdowns-from-beyond-the-grave/

on a side note, i have notice that Bloodbowl and other certain specialist games generally don't get rumor engine teases

  2. Finally got my white dwarf todays, beside the rule for the megamob, there a lot of lore about Troggoths that worth a read. Though basically anytime a big event happen, the Troggoth just ignore it in favor of chillaxing.

Age of chaos: ignore the rise of chaos in the realm in favor of grunting at each other (though if any chaos warrior come, we  eat them)

Age of Sigmar: the realm gate wars are happening, nah we good, let just pick our nose. ( still smash any Stormcast that come our way)

Necroquake: Giant Realm wide shockwave of doom, Oooh pretty color in the skies. ( proceed to still beat up nighthaunt out of ghostly existence)

  3. i feel like the beastgrave team have hard time getting humanoid proportion right, like their head are slightly too big on a bit of a lanky body

the lumineath along with the DoK and FEC warband have this kind of problem

the Slaanesh one ended up ok though

I am convinced the Kharadron were originally meant for 40k, but when AoS needed a new army, they put it there. Which doesn't matter, they fit nicely between Mechanicus and Gyrocopters in tech level.

i can see them taking inspiration from Squats but i don't think they where every meant for 40K, i think they just took the old dwarf lines and just imagine them as the technological race they could have been in the old world if they weren't for there stubbornness to advance. they just choice the steampunk aesthetic and  give them power armor like they do with everything else sometimes.

in fact the KO helmets are similar in design to the armor set for the engineer class in Age of reckoning.

I’m really looking forward to the new underworlds warbands so I don’t really care if that is all they reveal.
Do warbands that are part of a starter set get released  Separately too? I use no intention to get the game but I want both the Lumineth and Slaanesh warband. Or are te starter boxes priced so that I’m easier of just buying the box?

yes but it usually happens at the end of the season when they discontinue the older starter set box for the next season box.

I thought they would be angling to make him a real option due to the lack of unit choices in the army but literally no  f@~ks were given.

    #willstopbeingsaltysoon

That generally what happen to most FW units so it’s not surprising, they tend to be iffy at being viable in armies

    40k rumour alert.

9th ed will bring a new xenos race with a battletome in January. Not long to wait to see if it's true.

Skeptical of it happening but it is I think it’s what every they accidentally released into the galaxy from Blackstone fortress

The formula for prediction is as follows

    P = G+W/M-(X*Ao)S+(N-AN+A-BB)*2X

However no one has yet worked out the values for all the variables.

A real formula uses Greek letters, where your Omegas and Rho?

  8. IDK what it would take, but i guess my suggestion would be that you all write a friendly email or facebook post to GW, letting them know that you would like the legion of Azgorh to have a proper support(included online signature of all CHORF fans out there if you). it probably the best chance of letting them know.

the other option would be just to hope that there would be a big renewed interest in Chaos dwarf when they appear in Total war warhammer 3 but that going to be awhile

I suppose it wouldn't be impossible to see something like the Slaves to Darkness release in December, where a faction gets a new Start Collecting with new miniatures, some spells, and a new Battletome (though if it's an up to date Battletome I suppose this part could be skipped). If GW were to do something like that DoK and IDK would both be good candidates as they have older Battletomes, smaller ranges, and no endless spells.

either that or something bigger in January like what they did with Maggotkin and Gloomspite release where they market it during the holidays

Yeah, that's what they tend to do with new army boxes. Though I expect that the army box will be out before the new campaign book, so who knows. A lot of armies with the 40k books got a single hero, but Mechanicus got three new boxed sets. Slaanesh could really use a few boxes to put them on par with Tzeentch, Nurgle, and Khorne. Not sure if they will pop up or not though. I would personally appreciate it, even though I'm more of a Tzeentch guy.

i believe it was said that the Boxset (DOK vs Slaaneshi) and the new campaign book are related to one and another and they are coming out at the same time

As always time will tell but I really don’t feel this army won’t be competitive because of faction rules or warscrolls. When broken down the damage output and hardness to kill actually seems pretty fine. The main gameplay issue will be lack of chaff as chaff play is a core concept of competitive play. We can get around it to some degree with solo gargant units and ranged / impact hits to clear out chaff but it will make matchups vs heavy hitters sitting behind multiple chaff screens very tough.

gameplay wise the only big tweak I can see is a points adjustment to gargants 15 ppw on 5+ is steep even with pretty good damage output. This and FAQ in regards to casting / dispel and walk over endless spells.

I see people asking for “fun” rules but how much fun do you have when you roll a double on a charge for an Aleguzzler? The giants have pickup and throw attacks, crushing impacts, timber etc for their fluff.

let’s get some games in and see what can be done with the book as is. I think people maybe surprised as a couple of Mega setups allow for very good damage output even down to 1 wound. As such you can win games that maybe look like lost causes.

this is my thoughts, though this army was never going to have Chaff just by its thematic nature of what the army is.

It easier. It is a Destruction Battletome, and the designers of this faction write rules more for fun, very gimmicky or very weak.

Look first the Ogor or Orruk Warclans battletome, the most competitive books we have, and they are only playable a few things, with only one subfaction that seems more a casual error than the intention of the designers.

Now compare the design of books like Cities, KO or Seraphon.

i feel like the problem the people writing the destro tome tend to be safer and actually balance the book correctly (which is a good thing for how a battletome should be) but the other rule writers either forget what balancing is  or really want to push the envelop on the mechanics and it show on certain books. all the destro tome are actually good books from a lore and fluff perspective and the rules are actually balance but just pale little bit on the power level scale.

    Freeguild Blood Bowl?

hmm judging by  the models silhouette on the background it a like a decorated feather wing and it on both side of the model. you can sort of tell on the bottom right side of the feather is the guys sleeves , elbow, and hand.

I'm guessing with AOS 3.0 and their second Battletome we will get another kit. I'd love for you to be correct though and it be far sooner.

Yeah I think these are the last two battletome (sons and realmlords) for AoS 2.0 since the edition change is next July and then every army probably gets an updated tome after that.

though I think GW just intentionally made the army more casual and less competitive because of the Knight stigma that keeps running around but they also seem to like unreliable or swingle mechanics for destruction armies that doesn’t translate well for this type of army

I know that I am not an active writer on the forms but a long time lurker. I just gave this to Games Workshop.

With the lazy rules and overly prices models you (Games Workshop) should be ashamed. 0 Wargear options, 0 Mega Gargant Customization, 0 Batallions, 0 EFFORT! You (Games Workshop) advertised that the mega gargants were going to be the Biggest!!! yet they are under 7 inches tall. You are charging $195 USD for this and it pales in comparison to other big kits for the 2X price hike. I know there are extra bits but really... Whomever approved this design concept needs to be reprimanded.

If I get any response I will post it.

Ummm i don't think you will, your aggressive tone and berating an unknown employee is not going to help you or getting any response.

if you wanted a response you should have wrote it more professionally , be polite, and added your criticism in a more constructive manner. this come out as hate mail.
