  1. .... Something very strange is going on in GW..... My money is on an updated model or they're planning on axing somebody.
  2. Sure, all they'd have to do is claim that she's a corrupted Sister of Battle or from a feral/death world.
  3. To everyone who has looked at this thread and has been very patient with me (particularly @Neverchosen, @Neil Arthur Hotep, and @Lightbox), I thank you very much for you likes. Now then, let's get into the first two completed characters for The War of Funerary Delights!!! Camazhut, Hand of Zamses This guy right here is honestly the start of the project. Made from a Warpshinx rider with the head of a Knight of Shrouds, Camazhut was Zamses childhood friend in life and his eternal protector in death. A dedicated follower of Asaph, Camazhut nevertheless understands his king's alliance with several soulblight gravelords, for a kingdom is nothing without its subjects. Khurrem, Grand Maestra of Perversion one of three Heralds bound to Aesha Hatun and her court, Khurrem delights in the corruption of ritual verse and hymns. The Sultana has assigned her and the Sphiranx Marmori with the corrupting of the Cult of Sekhubis.
  4. A new Daemon Prince would be amazing, and a missed opportunity on GW's part given Total War Warhammer III's Godslayer showed just how customizable they can be.
  5. I hear they’re calling Immortal Empires this time around due to the Daemons. I really hope GW and CA bring back Araby like they did Kislev and Cathay. Just imagine all the stuff they could use if they did some research, heck I’ve been doing it so much I have enough ideas to write my own book! One thing I would really like to see if they do recreate Araby is the Djinn, as they’re my favorite piece of folklore outside of ancient Egypt. If they’re looking for monsters they could use the Simurgh (a magical, peacock/phoenix hybrid with the face of a man) or the Huma (a mythical bird from Iran that spends its entire life in the air). Edit: The prophet Whitefang just liked my post! ARABY CONFIRMED!!!!
  6. I hereby dub this alliance the “Fiery Desert Crusade!” Long may it complain and grudge until our armies come again!
  7. Until the last DLC pack is released, I will fight for Araby's inclusion in Total War and The Old World. I'm used to hopeless campaigns, I'm a Tomb Kings player and a Chaos Dwarf fan.
  8. The big problem is how to you adapt what many consider near perfection? Besides a general update to any and all finecast kits, and a new named character or two....
  9. Besides the obligatory Chaos Dwarfs mention? New Warcry war bands, the rest of the Nighthaunt expansion, and new multipart chaos warriors + knights. They could also be revealing more stuff for the Old World and other specialist games.
  10. Fair enough, I like the idea regarding expanding on the asian side of the army, especially the Hindu/Buddhist multi-arm look. Really separates them from the strange mix of Eastern-European/Hollywood Egypt every other death faction has going on. I just want elephant calvary in general, but a massive bone elephant sounds awesome. GW could make them like the necrosphinx ( four legs, two arms), and replace the "trunk" with a war-flail.
  11. Please don't bring up Araby, I'm still sad we haven't gotten anything yet . There's so much they could do in order to make the faction unique without falling into Terrorists or the standard Arabian Nights bit! use a religion based on the old Nehekharan gods and Zoroastrianism, with a focus agains undead corruption (there's a one-off god in the Neferata book by Josh Reynolds called The Great Ghul, use him as a stand in for Nagash and you're golden). Base their army off of the Abbasid Caliphate or one of the Islamic Gunpowder Empires (Safavid, Ottoman, the Mughals(Ind comes to mind). For a special character there's the Golden Magus from the Dreadfleet game, he'd be perfect for total war since he's revealed to be a Tzeentchian Sorcerer (grant him access to low level daemons like they did Arkhan). Finally, chaos could be infiltrating the upper class and learned men via Slaanesh in the form of a alluring dancer/merchant, instead of just Tzeentch because it looks like he's busy with Cathay. Edit: Sorry for my rant here, my brain's been doing this since The Old World was announced and CA introduced Cathay.
  12. @Snorri Nelriksson, what are you thinking of doing? Samurai/Mongol chaos warriors? Cathayan undead? I really curious. I'm thinking of doing Chaos Araby army via the Disciples and Hedonites range (I have a cool idea for a genie I want to use as a daemon prince).
  13. So... that bit about Khuresh and Ind not being added seems to be a bit of a tzeentchian truth (better known as a lie of omission), still no sign of Nippon but we never know! In addition to the Hobgoblin Khanates I'm interested in the "Foundry of Bones" up in the far left of the map. What is it? a Khorne Daemon forge? a Chaos Dwarf outpost? who knows?!
  14. Odds are they're holding the big, earth-shaking, wallet-destroying reveals and previews for Adepticon next month. But I'm hoping we get to see some truly amazing things because of this.
  15. My guess is that the often rumored Chaos Dwarfs, Emperor's Children, Dark Mechanicus, and The Old World have all been affected by this "gift" of Nurgle's.
  16. Hatred of Elves is always a good thing (especially when they're in a desert where they don't belong (IMRIK!!!)). As for DLC lords, I think Tamurkhan is our best bet for a round 1 pick. We have Cathay ready, and he could expand the mortal side of Nurgle by bringing in Plague Ogres and/or Blight Kings.
  17. I want to play so bad! But my Mac keeps saying I’m missing an executable when I try to launch it😭. Anyone know how to fix that on steam? Edit: I just saw that CA hasn't released the game on MacOS yet, and won't do so until early spring......
  18. Daemon jazz?! Emperors Children/New Orleans based Chaos faction confirmed.
  19. Honestly the Idoneth are currently the only group of elves I actually like. They're literally a whole civilization that was scarred by not one, but TWO! different gods, and are just trying to stay alive against the odds. Plus, they ride sharks, and honestly my five year old self still can't get over it. Unfortunately, unless you're blue and gold or live in Hysh, GW currently does not like giving you anything but PAIN!!!
  20. I’m a bit upset that it looks like there won’t be any Ind, khuresh, or Nippon, DLC so far (according to Andy Hall interviews), but I’m glad we’re getting the Monkey King. I kinda want him to be some kind of Yeti/Spider Monkey Hybrid with multiple arms, and for him to have an army of “not-chaos” monkeys that do a different thing based on what god they’re not-representing. Besides Chaos Dwarfs and the king, I really hope CA adds in Araby when they add in Yin-Yin the Water dragon. It would be so cool to see what they and GW could come up with.
  21. You forgot that GW released plastic hob-goblins, and said that they serve as middle men for chaos dwarfs in lore.
  22. The same reason the Negavolt Cultists from Blackstone Fortress and the zombie Ogors from Cursed City aren't actual units with kits: GW doesn't care enough to expand on them.
  23. I'm not trying to spread hope, I'm a Tomb Kings player after all (though Tzeentch has a place in my heart as my introduction to Chaos). I'm just describing GW's usual tactic when it comes to Total War DLC: when a new one drops, they bring back the old molds for "Made to Order" deals.
