  1. Well yes but it largely depends on the lodge one lodge may take a request from chaos if they have tons of ur - gold but another lodge may not because chaos is not trust worthy. Plus only one lodge has done that in the time line and I doubt chaos payed them. Fyreslayers take oaths UBER seriously hence why majority of them only do it with people they know who will pay them and chaos are known oath breakers. One Runefather refused to take payment after not finishing a job correctly and some become doomseekers for failing an oath of ur - gold. The doomseeker had a kill on fight policy with chaos followers. What's great is that they take tons of gold then afterwards they have to sort out the crappy gold they don't need from the ur - gold since I recall that the essence of Grimnir and Volcatrix had spread across the realms. Affecting loads of gold veins and chunks that were made from their death might of been made into currency for a city. The normal gold they just leave to sit in their vaults. Yes they pretty much sit on tons of gold and do nothing with it. Gathering ur - gold is like a religious act they just figured out the best way to gather it plus they follow a god of war and battle so it works out. Problem is I think the madness of the god beast Volcatrix is causing the gold madness when they infuse the ur - gold runes into their flesh.
  2. Hmm I still think they fit in order considering their characterization in novels. Plus it depends on the lodge. There are some that have done pretty badass and heroic things. Plus the gold madness is due to the sigils they hammer into their flesh to give them strength and power if I recall. It's a blessing and a curse I personally think it's the madness of Volcatrix effecting them.
  3. I already did I am collecting Fyreslayers right now their fluff is pretty cool. People think they are mercenaries but they are not truly mercenaries sort of thing.
  4. Rumors point that the WQ expansion is going to be Death themed. If I recall.
  5. "The battle for control of the mortal realms continued. While gods and demigods pondered their next moves, and the sigmarabulum rang to the hammer blows of reforging, an insidious evil was taking form, solidifying out of the pure madness that is the realm of chaos. Nine in number, the gaunt summoners hailed from the Crystal Labyrinth. There, the coven had created Whisperfane - an impossible mind - maze filled with deadly illusion, and one of the dreaded Silver Towers. With a push of their unfathomable minds, the Gaunt summoners could shift these twisted citadels into the reality of the Mortal Realms. There, many a brave warrior would be lured inside with the promises of riches untold. Many entered, yet few returned. Plans within plans, plots within plots. Who can tell the endgame of those cabalistic sorcerers? Their methods insane, their goals inscrutable - yet it is said in ancient and little understood rhymes that `death becomes the smallest fear when the Sliver Towers appear` Fear them, for they are coming............. " Yeah this image is a two spread image and the last page of the story of the All - gates campaign book with this passage on the right hand side. Plus Grungi has gone missing suddenly. Coincidence? Oh and all the sliver tower stuff is part of the tzeentch Arcanites don't you think it's strange that GW told us to use other profiles when points came out?
  6. Well it's the end of the all - gates book I can type it out if you want but it's got a lot of good stories in there. They also note Grungi vanished and sigmar is looking for him and they drop that the realm of light and shadow are opening up. Oh and the ironjaws have a really orky story in there.
  7. What's interesting is that in AOS also at the end of all-gates they said that the sliver towers of tzeentch are also appearing in reality as well. It's happening in 40k it's a good time to be a tzeentch fan.
  8. I see your point well either way I am excited.
  9. Who knows GW do make miniatures month's in advance right? Still at least it's something I do think it's tzeentch because his battle tome could lead into the dark aelves, steamhead and slaanesh.
  10. Well in the recent stream even Duncan said he is painting something for a release and it will be coming out in around 2 months? My prediction? Tzeentch.
  11. I don't know how GW thinks it was a good idea to do this.
  12. Agreed, Honestly I found it surprising myself when reading the season of war pre fluff that the stormcast were standing around guarding cities while the devoted of sigmar were actually crusading around cleansing chaos they even helped clear the surrounding land of Hammerhal Asqha. Even in total war warhammer I am excited to play Volkmar than the "normal" empire stuff. Even as a vampire count/Death fan. Honestly I felt if they went with the more "sigmarite" theme that volkmar represents the empire would of been a lot more popular in whfb I think. The devoted of sigmar have the "character" to fit in AOS. With the flagellants, warrior priests, war altars and the witch hunters. Possibly if they get an update crusading knights with horses and templars with the parchment that the stormcast and new warrior priests wear along with purity seals. They pop out to me compared to the free guild in my opinion along with the divine magic, which fits the theme of the setting I dunno it feels like GW are setting them up considering they name dropped them in such a fashion in the season of war pre-fluff. Looking at how many models there are in the group and they function rather well in a unique way they seem to be in the same place sylvaneth were before their update. They have a decent army as they are now it would not surprise me to see them get a "sylvaneth" treatment some point down the line. Don't get me wrong I like the empire models but they just seem kinda "bland"? I am starting a devoted of sigmar army while I wait for a death update their basic fluff, rules and painting them is so much fun. They just seem so unique and just ooze character in my opinion in their rules and the fluff we have seen from them. Plus they also press that hey sigmar is not exactly a nice person either sort of thing.
  13. Not sure how much we can believe them on facebook but when I asked about this and said I want to see more devoted of sigmar fluff considering what they have been doing in the season of war. GW said we will hear from them at some point. They said the same thing when people were fawning over the new warrior priest from sliver tower. Here I will pull up the response. "we're sure we'll see more of them in future." Since it's stated the stormcast have been standing around guarding cities and forts and it has been the devoted of sigmar actually cleansing all the nurgle stuff. I assume we are going to see more of the phoenix temple considering they own a city. Out of sigmar's forces I hope the devoted of sigmar take front stage in the season of war fluff when they get to it. Cause table top wise they are AMAZING at fighting chaos and fluff wise the undead are really effected by sigmar's light. I mean they have been appearing a lot in the background lately and it would not surprise me if they will be the new "Main" human army for sigmar.
  14. It's the simple fact out of all the chaos gods khorne sells the most so of course GW will do more khorne. It seems to be the case in 40k at least tzeentch is getting some love at last.
  15. Grombrindal fans rejoice. He is making his way to AOS according to Atia. https://war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/1052
  16. Devoted of sigmar are going to get a book for sure they appear in the fluff several times and I suspect they are going to get the new "Knights" for the season for war they also note they have been cleansing the realm of life of nurgle's corruption. Phoenix temple I suspect is going to built off into the new light Aelves or be treated like sylvaneth they would not give them a city for no reason.
  17. I like that edit I agree. I think I got a rather small slaanesh force in one of my cases, I do think slaanesh is in an interesting spot fluff wise. I imagine once it is released the realms will shudder even the blood god will look behind his back.
  18. Slaanesh army is annoying as hell in AOS(and they hurt). When they get updated it will be worse.
  19. I think that's what they are going to do. Since as I said death as it is is too small to be turned into their own faction's. Ghouls got beasts of the grave and they are lucky the horror kit can be used in so many different ways. The other Death factions are not so lucky. Maybe heroes can choose a certain mastery like bone, spirit, flesh to make certain units battle line for them along with what's in the book.
  20. I suspect what will happen is the Maligants aka nighthaunts will fold into death lords along with the mortarch's. The soul blight book will have dead walkers and death mages fold into the faction(With mannfred and neferata as characters). While Death rattle will be it's own thing(with Arkhan and krell since he is mentioned in the grand alliance death book). Of course with a few new models to go with it. Since as it stands now the death factions don't have enough stuff to be turned into it's own faction. Hell the flesh eaters got the beasts of the grave merged into them with their own special rules. It also helped that the crypt horror kit could be used in many ways also. I suspect the same will happen to the other factions since the deadwalkers are mentioned to be mainly used as foot soldiers for soul blight and death mages are too small to be their own thing. The necromancers are always the "igor's" to the vampires.
  21. So when you buy the book in the app does it come with a matched play point calculator?
  22. Well they do say that because of the recent wars the savage orruk waagh! is rivaling the size of the great waagh! lead by Gordrakk the fist of gork. Plus they have been clashing with the ironjaws according to the all gates book.
  23. It would not surprise me if bret's fold into the devoted of sigmar OR they could re imagine them and make them worship Alarielle as the new lady of the lake.
  24. Honestly I don't think Death will get changed much at all and sylvaneth are not actually elves either. I suspect Death is going to get more of a flesh eater court treatment with a few new models here and there. The skeleton models are fine they just need a repackage IMO. Now the zombies? They need an update badly and perhaps a elite vampire infrantry unit and plastic blood knights. Do remember majority of the end times models I suspect were made in preparation for AOS since AOS was in the pipeline since 7th edition right? I think the biggest thing for them will be the new tomb kings if they do it since nagash is the undead god now. Can't have the same old khemri anymore. The thing about the human faction is that actually they were not replaced entirely of stormcast GW do talk about the devoted of sigmar a lot espically in the fluff. I also do recall when someone asked to see more of the warrior priest from sliver tower and the devoted of sigmar GW dropped a hint that they are in the pipeline. Since in the season of war they note that the devoted of sigmar are the ones going out of the cities cleansing the lands. Stormcast are just standing around guarding cities. I suspect we might see a wanderer update considering our new goddess of life desire's people to defend the forests and her city since sylvaneth don't care for it.
