Easiest bits to get hold of will probably be the Stormfiends, Warplightning Cannon and Doomwheel, as they all have very nice plastic kits and are generally available. Some of the rest, like the old metal Arch-Warlock, can be found on GW's website, but the really nice plastic Warlock, poison wind mortar and warpfire thrower can only be found on the second-hand market these days. For Skryre Acolytes, you'll have to cough up for ancient metal models or, as many people do, convert your own (mine are mostly kitbashes of Stormvermin and gasmasked heads from other Skaven kits).

Skryre allegiance abilities can be found in the General's Handbook 2018, for what they're worth (not a great deal), and the rules for the Skryre battalion and Enginecovens are in the Grand Alliance: Chaos book.

Hope that helps, now go forth and delete your opponents with mortal wounds!

    Thanks so much!

That's Tretch Craventail. A very high-ranking warlord of clan Rictus in the old world :) Also featured in the new Total War: Warhammer 2 game if you want to see him in action.

He is a warlord, but I'm sure you could easily run him as an assassin as well. I'll leave that to your personal preference ;)

Tangentially related, but I think I was one of the few people who was actually thrilled to get him as a Legendary Lord.  I get why others weren't, but I have always liked his character.

I have both, and the gryph chargers are bigger, say 30% more because of stylized stances. The riders are also bigger. As long as you find lances, halberds, and shields for them, they should work.

I converted mine to have outrider heads, and they look quite good. Scale fits and everything.

I don't suppose you have pictures?

Different purposes. Crossbows no longer get the extra shot until there’s 20 of them, archers are great screens and board denial chaff, handgunners get the long rifle and rend, so damage wise probably the gunners

Ah, I was thinking crossbowmen got the extra shot for not moving - it's hanginners with the +1 to hit. Thanks!

The free move archers get might be handy in the beginning but I agree, handgunners might be a better choice in the long run.

  5. Hello everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice for an upcoming Path to Glory game. My opponent is going to be fielding Nighthaunt and I, Stormcast (specifically Sancrosact Stormcast). We're picking units to begin with and rolling for reinforcements.
I've been kicking around the following list:
    Lord-Ordinator
    Celestar Ballista
    3 Sequitors
And either 3 Sequitors or 3 Castigators
I expect to get rolled over by Chainrasps with so few models. The Celestar and Castigators are there to try and thin the herd a little.
    Alternatively I've been considering:
    Lord-Exorcist
    3 Evocators
    2 units of 3 Sequitors.
What do you all think? I like the Lord-Exorcist quite a bit but the LOrdinator will be able to give me quite a boost if I can recruit some other Order warmachines.

  6. Speaking of painting, I really like the greenish skin of the GW Wild Riders. Does anyone know how they got that look, or a similar one? I checked the WarhammerTV channel but while there's a tutorial on painting the stags there's not one for the riders.

I just tried Ionrach/Biel-tan (watered)/Deepkin/Pallid Wych but it may be a little too yellow for me.  Maybe a Waywatcher glaze will fix it?  I think next I'll try Rakarth/Biel-tan/Pallid Wych next.

The problem I have with Allariele is that, as the Everqueen, she merged with Isha, Aelven Goddess of Nature, during the End Times which ensured she would survive as the Incarnate of Life in the new reality.  But she rejected her Aelven heritage and her people without explanation.  The old Wood Elves worshipped Isha in the Old World and she cared for them, but in her new form she has abandoned the descendants of her followers.

I'll be honest, that kinda bugs me too.  I get that Isha is a life goddess but a great deal of her portfolio (and Alarielle's previous life) revolved around her love for and protection of the elvish people.  Hell, I could even see Ariel becoming this person more easily.

On the other hand she has had aeons beyond measuring to change into this new person.  And we don't even know what her earlier seasonal incarnations were like, or their opinions regarding the aelven race.  Could the Wanderer/Sylvaneth split have been worse for her than we know?

Wow. May well have to steal take inspiration from your idea. Still not happy with the way the platinum blonde hair on the Ordinator I painted back in March turned out. :/
