I agree. Hearing a woman be applauded in her comments for poo-poo-ing the idea of genetically-enhanced superbabies was very weird to me. I shall not say never, after all Covens of Blood has an example of traitors who are both Medusae and Melusai. And as long as we can flex the list-building to make a force that we can proudly support thematically and in what we field... Holy moly I LOVE this game! -

A Youtuber I followed said "Custodes are chosen from the strongest applicants and women aren't as strong as men". That's why Sigmar is better. He picked his Stormcast not for their physical strength but their strength of character. He could mold the rest into a warrior's body. Behold Garradan, a healer who defended his patients with candlesticks. Not a warrior, not an athlete, certainly not a gene-enhanced warrior. Now behold Gardus Steel Soul, who needs no ****ing introduction. The Emperor says "only the worthy". The Hallowed Knights cry "Only the faithful." -

I'm interested in the list building 4e is implementing. I might be misunderstanding but it seems similar to that of Conquest, right? Where your Hero choice has an effect on your unit selection? I like that. I mean, Akhelian Kings are reasonably going to be accompanied by other Akhelians. Krethusa isn't going to be chilling with a ball of Melusai. -

Aluminium foil wishes it was as pliant as 40k's lore. 40k is built on entire strata of retcons. -

Honestly I figured that was going to be the case. Swifthawks still exist in the lore. There was a Dawnbringers short about a Phoenix Guard. If anything I'm sure it will just be like the Sancrosact Chamber up and leaving the Realms. Aventis Firestrike's gonna either quit being magister of Hammerhal or retire from the field. Bonesplitters will become some... aspect of Greenskin culture that doesn't do any fighting. Beasts will continue to be irrelevant. -

Well I guess because I talked a lot about the possibility for like, a year that I'm one of the ****** he's talking about. Rejoice everyone, the Warcom article today is a hoax! Otherwise that guy would be a liar and nah, nah he wouldn't do that, right? (This post is made with humorous intent) -

I wouldn't like this. I mean, I'd be happy for everyone who is excited for Chaos Duardin. It's been a long time coming! I like beasts. I like my color scheme. I like the potential they had in AoS as a narrative force. My beasts weren't meaningless fodder for the human chosen of Chaos and I wouldn't enjoy them so much if they filled the same role in another Chaos army. -

I'm in the same boat. Most of my Battleline were Untamed Beasts and Iron Golems. -

I don't know that Warhound is in a position to give us that information. I think they just have some access to the 4e Starter, hence the fact they haven't been able to confirm or deny indices. -

In the novel Broken Honour, a Beastlord has some of his ungors build chariots to attack the approaching army. Then he kills the ungors because building stuff is gross. -

Music inspires me a great deal, so most factions I love has their own theme song I get into when I work on them. Something that just clicks when I listen. Beasts: In Maidjan, Heilung Daughters of Khaine: Villain, K/DA Sylvaneth: Halloweenie V (The Moss King), Ashnikko Slaves do Darkness don't have one yet, but I watch the Silent Hill movie while I paint them And most importantly, for Skaven: ALL of Hellbilly Deluxe by Rob Zombie! -

I like the Morghur side of Beastmen well enough, but I really feel the original vision. The design was, as I recall, meant to be reminiscent of the "barbarians" the Romans would speak of - unknown and "savage" peoples rushing from the woods to lay waste to the disciplined Roman legions. Mix that with the folkloric "beast beyond the firelight" vibe and you have my entire attention. If I was hired to design new Beastmen, I don't know what I would do. But I know I'd be blasting Heilung into my freaking brain until I did. -

I'm as amused by the Doko reacts as the next person, but I feel like calling them out like this is unkind. I wish you hadn't. We're just here to bump around like drunk moths looking for the light of each new rumor, my friend. We all do it different ways. -

Something just occurred to me: if the Great Goat Genocide happened, I wonder what would happen to Grashrak's Despoilers. I don't know if you can even get them anymore off GW's website (I just looked, but I may have missed them). Hypothetically, would they be removed? Ported over to StD? If they were removed from AoS, would they remain in Underworlds? -

I'd absolutely hate that. I love my goatmen and I love AoS. I'm pretty open-minded about range updates but I guess the current design is just special to me. Truthfully, I'd love to keep the current Gor (and friends) design in the main, but make them more feral. These are savage, wild creatures that stalk through the woods with the ease of a man on an open road. I just realized I just kinda supported your idea, in a way. Haha!
