  1. Hey all, I've got a 1,000 point tourney coming up this weekend and was hoping to get my list finalized. The tourney does have some restrictions, one being only one Mega can be taken. Currently I'm running the following:

    Stomper Tribe:

    Warstomper

General, Club of the First Oak, Monstrously Tough

    Mancrusher Mob

    Grand Strategy: On the Warpath

    Triumph: Inspired

    Total: 900

A couple changes I was thinking about are, giving the Warstomper Arcane Tome and flaming weapon for some magic defense and extra damage, breaking the mob up into 3 individual Mancrushers for more board presence and an easier grand strategy in Make the Land Tremble. I'm also not opposed to switching tribes if needed.

Leadbelchers hold their own surprisingly well in melee and IMO are the better unit between them and gluttons do to their access to rend. Sure you wont get exploding 6's but all the extra hits wont matter as much if youre constantly fighting 3+ 4+ save models.

If you do opt for another ironblaster i'd reccomend taking trophy rack so that your Ironblasters can hero snipe pretty effectively.

Seems like a really fun list!

Appreciate it! I may swap the Gluttons for another unit of leadbelchers and a couple of frost sabers (I think those points check out haha). Unfortunately if I drop one of the Butchers for another Ironblaster I won't be able to do the Warlord battalion so no second artefact for me :(.

  3. Looking to take my Ogres for a spin soon with the following list. Mainly a fun game, not looking to be overly competitive but trying not to get steam rolled haha. Any thoughts on the list or tweaks you would make? I also thought about dropping the gluttons and butcher for more leadbelchers and a ironblaster, it seemed more thematic to underguts but a lot weaker.

  4. Playing my first game of AoS 3.0 this weekend and taking my Soulblight for their first go. We are playing a 1000 points and I am definitely taking Prince Vhordrai and two units of 5 Blood Knights. I have 155 points remaining and having a hard time deciding what to take. I'm thinking either Skeletons or Zombies for late game objective shenanigans, dire wolves or vargheist for more mobility and killing power, or Grave Guard for a little of both. Any suggestions?

  5. Looking to get my pre-orders in tomorrow and to start off with a 1000 points Kastelai list . Any recommendations between these 3 list? The only big difference is the general, but I just can't settle on which one I want to start with. I really like the theme of Vhordrai leading Blood Knights so slightly leaning that way.

    List 1:

    Vhordrai

    2X 5 Blood Knights

    20 Zombies

    List 2:

    Vengorian Lord

    Necromancer

    2X 5 Blood Knights

    20 Zombies

3 Fell Bats (mainly for objectives)

    List 3:

    Mannfred

    2X 5 Blood Knights

    20 Zombies

3 Fell Bats (mainly for objectives)

  6. So this is what I'm looking at following the suggestions

    Leader:

Endrinmaster in Dirigible Suit - 190

    Battleline:

    (3) Endrinriggers - 100

    - Rivet gun and Saw

    (3) Endrinriggers - 100

    - Rivet gun and Saw

    (10) Arkanauts - 90

    - 1x Skypike, 1x Light Skyhooks, 1x Aethermatic Volley Gun

    Behemoth:

    Ironclad - 480

    - Great Volley Canon

    Total: 960

Endrinmaster dropped just 2 days ago to 190 pts and Ironclad to 480 pts so that gives you additional 60 pts. As for loadouts: Volley Cannon for Ironclad as it gives on average best damage, for riggers I think no special weapons, so only saws.

Whoops, figured that warscroll builder was up-to-date. So that brings my list to 870 points. Any recommendations on what I should add? Maybe another unit of Endrinriggers or a Gunhauler?

  8. So I've finally decided to start my long overdue Overlord project. I am thinking about starting at 1000 points (stumbled across list on another post) with the thinking I will be using these units as I expand. I know it's not super optimized and will get destroyed on objective games, but was hoping to get some feedback on recommend load outs for the units and the Ironclad.

    Leader:

    Endrinmaster (Dirigible Suit) - 220pts

    Battlelines:

    Endrinriggers (3) - 100

    Endrinriggers (3) - 100

    Behemoths:

    Ironclad - 510

    Extra CP? - 50

    Total: 980

Unless you can grab it for a very cheap price, I'd refrain from buying it. Vanguard units aren't in a good place right now. The only competitive units are the longstrikes and the aetherwings.

Mind you, if it's just for fun,  and you get it cheap, like 50E, then buy it and have fun.

It’s 300 including codex and painted to above tabletop standard.

  10. Hey all, was thinking about starting Stormcast and ran across the following army for sale. Is this a good base to start off with? The army comes out to a little over/under 1k.

    2 X 5 Vanguard Hunters

    1 X 3 Vanguard Palladors

    1 X 3 Vanguard Raptors

    1 X 3 Aetherwings

    1 X Lord Aquilor

    1 X Knight Venator

1 X Naeve Blacktalon ( or ran as Knight Zephyros)

Depends whether you want ships or not. And then, whether you want a semi-effective ship or whether you’re happy to just have one as a transport.

Three 1k lists to think about:

Good ship Ironclad:    2x10 arkanauts (both with 3 skypikes), 3 endrinriggers, 1 ironclad, endrinmaster, 5 thunderers (all rifles). Load up all but thunderers.

Endrinrigger delivery vessel:     2x10 arkanauts (one with 3 skypikes, one with 3 volley guns), 9 endrinriggers, 1 frigate, aether khemist. Send skypikes and riggers up in the frigate with the khemist, buff the riggers.

Grundstok gunline: 2x10 arkanauts (both with 3 skyhooks (or volley guns)), aether khemist, 30 thunderers (configure to taste: would suggest 10xrifles (khemist buffs these when in range), 15 with 3 deckguns, 3 mortars, 3 cannons, and then 5 with rifles and 1 fumigator). Walk up slowly, fire with arkanauts first, then use them to get in the way. Try to ensure your big units of thunderers get to retreat and fire whenever you (inevitably) get tied into combat.

Thank you these list, really appreciate it. I think I'm leaning towards one of the list with ships. Those are partially what drew me to the faction along with my love for Dwarfs!
