Starting to get paint on some models, excited to see what they can do!
Does anyone know if Crawlocke the Jailer has different rules or just a random alternate model?

Anyone catch that Cairn Wraiths have an extra high-rend missile attack that seems to be usable in melee too!?

Thinking a line of bladegheists and a mKoS + Torment front line moving foreward with 2 max Spirit Host blobs + chainghasts, a second torment, and the Mortarch as an anchor.
Gheists charge in, phase through and start chopping up support while Host blob mops up midfield. 2 torments and MoG should be plenty of heals to keep midfield going, with perhaps a GoS deepstriking in to support gheists if they get too far in.
Theoretically the chaingheists will keep the bladegheists buffed, help clear chaff and zap targets... mabe add some myrmourns following the gheists up the field to keep magic suppressed and mob casters

Do Battalions cost extra or are they more rewards for arranging your units in such a fasion?

I originally thought chainghasts could be independant of one another ala synapse to spread the torment aura but Im guessing they will have to be in a group

Already have 12 Hosts which I will surround Olynder as she progresses up the field.
Cancelled grim preorder to hold out for blades. Plus they will gel well thematicaly with the mKoS too

What Im kinda worried about is ending up with a bunch of models I wont end up using. We are already getting awkward numbers of troops from the soul wars box, then the staggered release with ghasts first then geists to follow...

Im kinda torn between bladegeists and grimghasts. Seems like one is for anti horde and one is for hit and run board penetration.
My poor wallet..

Thinking we might want pendant of fell wind and some speedy chunky units plunging in to tie up potential threats to our regenerators (GoS, Torments, MoG, etc) maybe the mKoS and a vanguard spear of blade/grim ghosts to take the center while myrmourn/LE/Chainghasts assasinate their support heroes.
Seems we will be quite heavily dependant on our own support models to stay in the fight. That 4+ ethereal is nice but wont hold up forever.
I was also hoping bladegeists would stand out more, but they seem to be just grimghasts with glaivewraith ability? Whats the point of taking glaivewraiths vs bladegheists?

Have we seen the coach's stats yet? I have a feeling it will be meaner than the Mourn as well as cheaper...
Also hoping there will be a battallion involving the Mortarch and spirit hosts, as her particular ressurection technique is better on multiwound.

As for the Mourn; honestly he needs to be closer to 250 points or have an 8 to 10" aura imho

His point cost is whats making it a really hard decision for me, and I already own one. The problem is he used to be one of only 4 or 5 options for NH, now with the explosion of models Im not sure if hes aura justifies his cost

I basecoat grey, thincoat white, wash nihilakh, drybrush white, drybrush hellion, drybrush white to achieve this effect.
Or you can spray white, wash with new paint.
If you're a painting noob its a godsend I expect!

Losing the 3+ save really stings, as does the pricetag, but FT is pretty brutal.
Its going to come down to the full readout of our deployment shenanigans

Its a calculated business plan to release the box set before anything else with icompatable amounts of models for normal play, that forces long-term players to purchase more troops.
