    if It's my brand new, proper round circle army like my deep kin, I'm trying to fully paint my army and not have a grey model. (got one unfinsihed base though... I just need to buy water effects or something for it. ) just because I like painting my eels and sea elves. I have a story in mind, and I'm doing it!

    for my square based, mostly second hand death army? yea.. I play with half of it unpainted and not on proper bases. mostly because I ran out of calvary bases and circle bases for it. I really should finish them, but I'm just not in the mood currently to paint all those skeletons.

    -I want to use both types of eels, the king, sharks and turtle but I just can’t seem to fit everything in and make a list I like. I’ve run the turtle and sharks before and I don’t share the usual opinion of them being bad or overcosted, I found them to be quite good. Heroes are a problem as 2 kings takes away so much from the list but only one isn’t good enough 

    I personally use an archmage as a mounted wizard to go along with my all eel army. it's pretty nice, and he can provide an extra ward save when you're out of ship range. he's about the same speed as eels too, and it's fairly easy to kitbash a single eel with an archmage.

    The rest was really too old, but properly AOSified I can really see the old concepts of big constructs shines (like the Morghasts or the Moratchs' Mounts).

    I'm also hoping for those Egyptian statues as well if they do make a return. Dunno if it's going to happen but there is always an if.

  6. I would put 'Scourge of fate ' after malign portents or necroquake, if for no reason than because there is a sacrosanct lord ordinator in the book.

    also I believe soul wars belongs in that section too.

    could be be avoided though, by making it deadly terrain and halving movement and taking penalties to attack rolls depending on the save value of the unit. I dunno, it could just be fun to see ship combat as well as boarding actions on the high seas!

    Honestly I just want to get my hands on a model or two so I can start making my armies on parade. Already making a viking ship for them, just need to work on the models I have planned.

     

    but between the wait for this and a summer class this June and July are going to be Loooooooong.

    Soulscryer may be up for a points increase too though hopefully a Morrsarr points increase is considered enough 

     pretty much this. the biggest thing that's stopping me from buying more eels is seeing if the morrsarr will be raised in points to around 200. if so, then I don't know what i'm going to do with my list...

     

    also want to see if the archmage gets raised in points.

    I was thinking of this today at work as well, and there may be a need to have some wound counts for each warship, or at least size catagories or something. That way you can target the warship with said cannons or or something. I may think of something myself one of these days...

    Honestly they don't really get attacked? the only enclave to get attacked was either the one that defended against an undead tide in the malign portents stories, or the one where the skaven literally drained the ocean an enclave was hiding in. At any rate, They use magic to breathe under water, and I think surround themselves with the AetherSea most of the time if I remember correctly.

    presumably, that means other factions can use magic to breathe under water too... I'm actually really looking forward to that book just to explain this.

    Don't think so? Could be wrong but I think volturnos would have his special sword and deep mare mount in the picture. I think this is probably one of the thousands of smug aelves.

  14. Good to hear you're tweaking the rules! How do you feel about adding ship board weapons? Maybe only making it so they can target other ships without a massive penalty? Or use different ammo like grape shot or chain shot?

  15. Honestly, a warband of outcast nobles from azyr would be pretty awesome in my oppinion!

     

    Can't wait to see Aqshy and Hyish! So far though the untamed hunters and splintered fangs are still my favorites.

     

    ...how embarassing would it be to be killed by the silt guy?

  16. Honestly I think piling in and activating twice is fine, as long as there is a gap in time for you to take a swing at the opponent. Something like a skeleton horde getting to attack twice can be devastating, but there is a chance to cut some down before they swing again usually.

    double tapping twice in a row just feels really dirty.

  19. So I finally played 2 of the  idoneth battletome battle plans and I had a blast, though I have to say it seem very one sided, especially at 1000 points. Incoming tide was a very unique idea for having a force try to stop you, and finding some way to table or run off the other side of the map was fairly fun. The harvest was probably my favorite one though, and can really have some fun narrative play of trying to capture the survivors and the like.

     

    It was very fun, but I basically could get a turn 1 charge off and since I went first... yea. It hurt the stormcast s in played against a lot.
