It sounds pretty confusing (and it is) but basically it breaks down into the following;
- Allegiance with own allegiance abilities - must use own allegiance to qualify for battleline etc
- Order allegiance - can take free city
- Allegiance without own allegiance abilities - can take own battleline and free city
I really hope that GW either releases a battletome for free cities or an updated firestorm to clarify. The rules add a lot of flavour whilst not being OP yet tons of people don't even realise they qualify for using them.

Well if these rumors are true, I’m saddened that humans are left in the wind. Of course so are many other races that need a quick boost for their fan base.

The “human element” or having/ showing the side of humanity in any setting is something we’re all grounded by, because we’re humans. It gives a better perspective of struggle in a world(s) full of things that are better than them.
while not “under dogs” the human feel is a key role and attractive to many for this reason. Monsters, mutants and beasts are nice, but we need some humanity mixed in

I like the hound. But never understood the three heads and the frills.. they couldn’t move their heads. Then again ever understood why the beard frill instead of all head frills on the dogs.
the herald is meh to me. Also would have been nice if the harp was an aelf/ eldar.

Yeah it looks like it’s something for Vigilus.
the way it’s painted with a grid makes it look like it’s supposed to be a battlefield hologram. They just used their HQ as the model for the attack.
then again could be a new 40k themed White Dwarf model. Been awhile since one of those came out?

I find the darkoath priestess model a bit weird looking. Not sure if it’s the paint job, the axe guy looks weird too. But I’m loving the Conan vibes.
nice to see they will have access to bows and javs when they get their own book. Very excited for them.

Not quite the zombies everyone was hoping for.. and I would say maybe it’s a sign of what’s to come. However everyone thought that when the corpse cart was released ages ago..
do like the mummy. Would like to see mummy units with poison attacks back lol

Considering GW has like to dig in it’s past for inspiration, I’d be shocked if it wasn’t a KoS/ slannesh release claw armor like on the very old kos.

I really like the idea. Though I find it hard to see that the fire and ice aelves don’t include either of the phoenixes.

Anyone else wishing they addressed Raiders for battle line?
Looks like my swamp beastmen will remain a small characterful side project rather than full list. Don’t know why I’m so fixed on the ungors.. guess i can’t figure our what I other swamp dwellers I can count as for Gors etc.. lol

i remember back when they had the listeria campaign and the special undead pirate rules. Do wish AoS would do more like this in WD.
wouldnt be surprised if by the success of these specific Total War games we will see Araby (because they have a ton of fantastical things they could do with them).
