Liath
I'm a drybusher... but I'm pushing myself to learn how to properly layer paint as part of my Khorne project I've got a lot of skin to paint. Here's my prototype bloodreaver (I've only done his skin so far). I'm fairly pleased but not blown away... any tips would be greatly appreciated! Ratamaplata
With the colours you've used I think you'd be better off using the mid tone as a base layer then wash it to get the recesses dark (or if you keep to the same colours, only leave a very small amount of the dark base layer showing). Then repaint with the mid tone, leaving the recesses. Then highlight. Alternatively, have a go at blending/glazing. It's really not as tough as you might think, just takes time to get used to. YouTube 'Painting Buddha' to see how. You'll also want a wet palette for this.
