First competitive Ironjawz game played - and won! (short batrep)

Fellow Jawz, I have had my first competitive league game - and it was successful. I played this list:

I will play it throughout all matches within the league.

My opponent played mixed Nurgle:

Glottkin

Festus

10 Plaguebearers

10 Plaguebearers

5 Putrid Blight Knights

 

We played the second scenario ... bloody glory (?) or so...

 

He of course deployed his deathstar. I tried to keep my options open. My plan was to somehow break apart his units so he could not use all his buffs.

I went first, but I did not move much.

There was not much movement in the first turn at all. He kinda wanted me do storm quickly at him but I left him waiting and kept my options open.

In turn three most of the sh*t went down.

I managed a major charge - only my Megaboss wouldn't get in range, but close enough to get a Waaagh! So, my five Brutes on the right flank wiped out the plaguebearers, the Putrid BKs had some losses, but again, my Ardboyz were almost wiped out: One Ardboy survived with one wound.

I somehow deleted the picture of turn 3 - which would be the last one.

The Glottkin and the Putrid BKs killed 7 Brutes (DAMN!) - Festus fled behind the Glottkin...

...but my 5 Brutes on the right flank rolled super high for their charge and got to Festus. They slayed him and duffed up the Glottkin pretty hard.

The remaining 3 Brutes from the other unit killed the Glottkin. At that point my opponent said that he had lost.

 

I'd say my opponent did not have a super tough list, but Glottkin was super dangerous for my Brutes. Had some dice fallen differently, I would have been slaughtered.

Anyway, I am starting this league with a win, at least four more games to go.
