1000 points list

Hi there looking for a different 1000 point list, i was thinking of using dire wolves

 

10 wolves have 20 attacks at 4+ 4+ With a 5+ save - charge and it improves to a 4+ 3+ - have a corpse cart it improves to 4+ 3+ and a 4+ save supported by vampire lord

 

30 attacks hitting of 4s and wounding on 3s

20 wounds with a 4+ and 5+ ward

all for 120 points

 

Thinking list could be like

 

10 x dire wolves 

10 x dire wolves

1 x vampire lord

1 x corpse cart

1 x corpse cart

20 x zombies

10 x zombies

30 x zombies

100 points summon

 

is there enough damage out put in this list?

You're going to really struggle against hard targets like 2+ Saves, especially with rerolls, and also you'll only be buffing one squad a turn which will likely be the Zombies as they get better to Hit chances. Your Dire Wolves will really struggle if any -1 to Hit or the like comes into play. Don't get me wrong, I love Dire Wolves and they're great outriders, but their damage output just isn't enough to warrant being used as a hammer.

Also don't forget the +1 Attack per squad for the Doom Wolf. Might help a touch.

100pts is also a really arbitrary number to have set aside for summoning in this list. Why not drop a Corpse Cart for 180pts of Summoning? That's 15 Dire Wolves or 30 Zombies in a pinch when you need it.
