Painting equipment & care.

As I've progressed my painting ability I've started considering about increasing the quality of my brushes.

I used to be terrible with them and often ended up forgetting about leaving one in a water jar, or got the paint too high up the bristles,

But, I've made a effort to improve my care routine of my brushes, so at the end of each painting session I dip my brushes in paint cleaner and massage it into the brushes to throughly make sure it's all gone. is this good practice or am I damaging the brushes ?

But as I've improved my care practice my brushes have started lasting longer before I feel like replacing them, I've decided to invest in a higher quality brush, I'm not going to be winning a year golden daemons but a better quality brush would be appreciated. any recommendations ?

Also, can anyone point me in the direction of those paint pots with brush holding slots for the brush sizes gw uses, I my Google searches only return brushes for painting walls .
