GreenMarine
I'm using the GW video process for painting my stormcast, but have trouble getting the scrollwork to look clean. The process is like: Zandri Dust, Earthshade (Everything looks fine up to this point), Ushabti Bone, Pallid Wytch Flesh I have a lot of trouble painting the ushabti in a way that doesn't look messy. Any thoughts on how I can get this scroll to look better?
BasetheRuin
Well, to be honest, your scrolls look pretty good! Maybe a sharp highlight of bone colour + some white around the edges of the lettering?
GreenMarine
Yeah I haven't done the pallid wytch highlights yet. I'm just worried the letters look too smeared. It's much easier on the smaller liberator scrolls. I have 9 prosecutors that I'm painting in assembly line and these scrolls are rough to get through. Everything else was fun. GreenMarine
Whelp, I think this drybushed version looks a lot better and it's about 10 times faster to apply.
Booah
The second version does look much better and if it is easier and quicker for you to do then it is a double win! I hate it when you feel you are making good progress and really enjoying sighting a unit and it comes to the bit that just puts you off. Hopefully this will get you on the finishing path with the prosecutors.
