When Sigmar started last summer I decided to try and do small forces of about 4-6 warscrolls for multiple armies across all the alliances. So far I have managed a stormcast, bloodbound, sylvaneth, wanderers, high elves, moonclan-still plenty to go. Loved doing this and I intend to wage war against the mountain of plastic I have in various stages from boxed and sealed to half painted. The intention is to stick with destruction until the new year, but do not be surprised to see a chaos, order and death page pop up relatively soon. I have included my first mixed destruction force aswell as a megaboss on mawcrusha below before pics of my built mini-forces that I will be painting up next, some are bigger than others, I hope to get the hunter, yetees and sabre tusks done up by the end of next week before working on some of the mounts, I also have some brutes and moonclan to add. I tend to be more of a collector and painter but do intend to play at some point and get to some tournaments next year.

My brother has just picked up the big box of beastclaw Raiders. Good job because after seeing armies like this my wallet would quite cockily be £200 lighter. Good luck in armies on parade!

Love the idea of this project and that your initial shortlist was 17 armies, I started something similar when sigmar first came out choosing about 5 war scrolls for each faction (they weren't all fleshed out at that point). I managed to do a storm cast, bloodhound, sylvaneth, dark elf, ogre/black orcs, night goblin/moonclan, wanderers painted up to this point (each one between 500-1200 points). Now feeling a bit nurgley (daemons, rot bringers, clan pestilence). I voted for the phoenix temple on Twitter, going to be really interesting following your progress.

I've never played in a tournament play and have very limited aos experience (more of a colector and love painting while relaxing in the evenings). Would you recommend the 500/1000 Friday events or just dive straight into the weekend. I do tend to follow forums and see match reports, learn stats of my armies so hopefully won't hold up play. I am keen to branch out into more gaming.
