1 Dogmantra
When you score, you look at all the objectives, if you held any of those objectives at the end of your last turn, then from now on you can't score for them or control them for the rest of the game. Ignore what happened in your opponent's turn, that doesn't matter, only your own turns. Here's an example that will hopefully explain pretty much all the different situations that can happen. A Stormcast player is playing against an SBGL player. ROUND ONE During each player's turn one, they move up and capture one objective each. SCE takes objective A, SBGL takes objective C. They will each score for this objective because it's turn one. The priority roll happens, and the SBGL player takes the next turn. ROUND TWO: SBGL TURN The skeletons move up and take objective B. During scoring, they score for objective B and C. Now, they check which objectives they held in their previous turn. They had objective C at the end of their last turn, so since they have had it for two of their turns in a row, the objective is fully siphoned for them. Only the SCE player can control objective C from now on. ROUND TWO: SCE TURN The SCE player takes their second turn. Their knight questor charges in and singlehandedly kills all the skeletons on objective B because he's cool. The Stormcast player now controls this objective. They score, and they control objectives A and B. Since they controlled objective A last turn, from now on they can't control it for the rest of the game. ROUND THREE: SBGL TURN Nagash comes in all angry that his skeletons were killed. He outnumbers the Knight Questor, so the SBGL player takes back control of Objective B. During scoring, they control objective B. But then, they check which objectives they held in their previous turn. In SBGL turn two, they did control objective B, so even though it was taken from them, because SBGL controlled it for two of their consecutive turns, it has been siphoned for them, and they can no longer control objectives B or C. ROUND THREE: SCE TURN Not wanting to fight Nagash, the Knight Questor retreats. Unfortunately this means that the SCE player does not control any objectives this turn, as they already siphoned objective A. ROUND FOUR: SBGL TURN Out of nowhere, a single brave skeleton runs forwards to try to take objective A, since it's the only objective the SBGL player can control. However, since it's just a single skeleton, the Knight Questor outnumbers it (he has five wounds). Although the SCE player can't control objective A anymore, they can defend it from their opponent, and the SBGL player controls no objectives this turn. ROUND FOUR: SCE TURN The fulminators come in and kill Nagash. SCE player now controls objective B, and scores for it. Here's the important part. Because in SCE's turn three, they did not control objective B, it is not fully siphoned, so they can continue to control it for another turn after this. ROUND FIVE All the undead have been mopped up, so the SCE player advances to capture objectives. They control B and C. Theoretically if the game could go to a sixth round, then this would be their last turn scoring for objective B, but it's the end of the game so it's no big deal.
