Darkfine
Back from the dead! Babies and surgeries and life get in the way of nerding it turns out. Some recent progress on the mammoth. Not happy with the width of the head and his last leg will be difficult what with the tusk I added before thinking but he is getting there. Darkfine
Feet next then a little detail work on the face. Howda and armor plates after that then painting finally!
torsten7048
As sculpting is really not my talent, I am quite impressed to see how you create a whole mammoth out of nothing. For me it is great work what you show here.
Darkfine
Taking a little break from sculpting to nail down the howda and armor plates. The “helmet” is proving to be a fairly substantial problem.
TMS
That mammoth is such an awesome project but I can't shake the feeling that there's something simian and gorilla-like over it. Perhaps it's a bit slim around the belly?

Perhaps it's a bit slim around the belly? It is! I’m holding off working on those regions as I’m trying to decide if I want to tackle hanging fur or not. It would definitely sell the “woolly” part but I’m not so confident I could do it well enough. Also I got distracted again and did some work on this dapper gent.
