BadgersinMeadows
Hey everyone, I'm looking to expand on my Swifthawk Army which currently is the contents of the Spire of Dawn box with some Shadow Warriors. How do Shadow Warriors perform on the table? They seem a tad expensive for what they do, but as I'm new I'd like to get some other opinions. Cheers. Cerlin
I have been looking at them myself. They look like badass, overpriced, freeguild archers. The pros: 12 inch move at the start, that is basically your choice of cover or objectives. Reroll hits in cover, so your shooting just got more reliable. 2 melee hits each at a 3/4 so you can punch above your weight. The cons: Expensive. 200 points for 10. Are they almost twice as good as a spireguard at 120? Maybe if you use them right. Average move, armor, bravery. Especially considering they are elite units. With the addition of reavers and spireguard, I am not sure how great they are but dropping them on the table is the only way to find out. Personally I have not wanted to pull the trigger yet. MrZakalwe
For the cost they don't take or do enough damage to make them good or even mediocre (they might be worth 150 at absolute most but at 200? ). Shame as the models are beautiful.
