Dracothjay Posted December 25, 2017 Share Posted December 25, 2017 Hi guys, planning on a few tournaments in 2018 and have a burning question about vargheist. my general I will run is mannfred von carstein, which makes the vargheists quite a punchy unit with mannfreds command ability allowing all units within 15" to reroll 1's to hit and wound. so, I plan on bringing 6 vargheists, but as they can not be regenerated like crypt flayers (which I'm bringing also with a varghulf for resurrection) is it best to split the vargheists down into 2 units of 3? I think having 2 units of 3 provides more flexibility and less of a target from shooting, but I also understand having a unit of 6 provides massive punch. thoughts? also, merry Christmas all! Black_Fortress_Immortal Posted December 30, 2017 Share Posted December 30, 2017 A unit of 6 buffed up will hit much harder, more will be affected by Mystic Shield as well, but the downside is that the bases are so large that it's tough to get all into combat depending on the terrain/setup.
