Army List Composition:

  1. Create an army list up to 2,000 points using the Matched Play Pitched Battles rules in the General’s Handbook 2017.
  2. You can select units with a Matched Play profile from General’s Handbook 2017, Forgeworld, or Compendium.
  3. The latest Forgeworld and Compendium Pitched Battle profiles are available here.
  4. Use the most recent version of any warscroll in case of duplicates.

Army List Submission:

  1. To ensure all army lists are legal before the tournament, players must submit their list to tyleremerson@gmail.com by October 14th. A points penalty will be applied for late submission. Please ensure this doesn’t happen to you!
  2. Your list should be created using Warscroll Builder here and saved as a PDF for submission.
  3. To save/export your list as a PDF, click the down arrow at the top left of Warscroll Builder’s interface.
  4. Lists must specify all of the following that apply, which can’t change during the event:
  • General
  • Allegiance
  • Command Traits
  • Artefacts
  • Spells/Prayers
  • Equipment Options

Terrain:

High-quality scenery will be provided (examples below), with Scenery Table effects pre-set for each table.

Battleplans:

Pitched Battles from the General’s Handbook 2017 will be used, each to be announced at the start of the round.

Prizes & Awards:

Store-credit prize money for top 3, along with awards for Best Overall, Best Sportsmanship, and Favorite Army.

House Rules:

GW’s latest FAQs are available here.

1. Measure base to base. Bases should never overlap.

2. Measure vertically by measuring the volume between two models, usually from one’s base to another’s head, e.g.:

Note when measuring volume between models, don’t measure to limbs, wings, weapons, banners, etc.

3. Models that can’t be attacked or targeted are unable to score or contest objectives (e.g., The Changeling).

4. You may only have one of each type of command model per unit (champion, standard, musician, etc.).

5. Balewind Vortex is allowed using the latest FAQ but it can’t be used within 6” of an objective.

6. Sylvaneth Wyldwoods must be the exact size of GW’s Citadel Wood bases (including the holes for trees), and players must have trees. During the game, players may remove trees temporarily to simplify measuring.

7. GW clarified models are allowed to climb up and down any type of scenery. However, for our purposes, models can’t end their move at the top of Citadel Wood trees – they must be able to end their move on the ground. Models are allowed, though, to lean their base up against the base of Citadel Wood trees, as long as the model stays upright.
