Death Wight King Infernal Standard

Hayday

Question

Potentially daft question, but wanted to check. Just seen the below in the new FAQs. Does this mean once you've failed the save for a model you stop? Or do you roll it for every applicable model within range? Thanks!

Q: If you have a Wight King with an Infernal Standard, do you start allocating wounds to one model in the unit, continuing until it fails the special save for being within range of the Standard (or there are no more wounds to allocate)?
A: Yes.

I believe it means something like this:

A unit of skeletons in range of the standard has been dealt 7 unsaved wounds. When you go to assign the first of these wounds to a model, roll the standard's special save. If the roll succeeds, that wound is ignored and you proceed to assigning another wound to the same model, rolling the special save again. You continue assigning wounds to the skeleton until it fails the special save roll and the model is then actually removed. Then you proceed to assign the wounds to the next model until it fails the save and is removed, until there are no more wounds to allocate. So as long as each wound would slay a model, you will continue to roll for each unsaved wound taken for any models in range.
