That's the thing isn't it, it's years away and we have so little information, yet we have multiple people absolutely losing their minds that GW is releasing a game that isn't specifically for them and/or earnestly proclaiming that AoS is being cancelled/squatted because of it. It's a replication of the worst behaviours of the end times and AoS launch.

Yeah it feels like it. It doesn’t help it’s started a fanbase civil war which will likely weaken sales  for both and end up tanking two games then we’ll need age of x to reboot it all again.

Dont play with my feeling GW...

Yeah a new giant faction depending on theme could get me interested. Will it be more ale guzzler themed? Or will they be bold and have them trying to remake their Empire Sigmar destroyed iirc.

8th Edition was a huge step away from 30k if anything, being a completely different rule set. And 30k is barely being supported at the moment.

I don’t mean rules but fluff. There will be no end to marine legions. New Primarch will come slowly over the years. Until ultra mega Primaris get invented.

  4. 30k was the end of old 40k lore as we know it. GW seen how much profit was in it and is doing its best to make 40k more like it. 8th edition is slowly becoming more and more like 30k. Xenos and non power armor armies getting new stuff gets rarer and rarer.

This may as well signal the end of age of Sigmar. Thanks for nothing GW betrayed me again. If the KO does’t get a few models to support it it’s over. The Ironjaws being thrown into a soup book was a disaster too.

I'm not going to quit AoS really If my army can't aim for a 5-0. If that's the cases, I will only play friendly games and that's all. Btw, I haver an old 6th edition army to build (Karak Kadrin) and a group to play and finally my wife wants to start Kingdom of Death.

I'm going to follow Conquest too. I like the design of their Dwarfs and I find the game fun and interesting so...

Unfortunately my area is cut throat. With Tau lore ruined. 40k in general in 8th. Deathwatch dead army. Tau quasi-dead army. Space marines also ruined with Primaris. Now KO might be bad again. That’s going to be 4 armies started and sidelined before they were done. See why I’m pesemistic? 4 in a row jut as I get into the hobby is too much to take when I put so much work into it and actually paint them and make backstories.

If this is true, then I’m afraid there won’t be a lot of new models. Which is ok for Kharadron and Tzeentch, but a little dad for Seraphon. We’ll see...

I was expecting StD dropping in the end of this year with the push-fit start collecting set and then more models (non push-fit) start next year. Very much like the new sisters, who get an army box this month and te rest of the range released early next year.

Yeah I have no hope for the new ko book. I doubt we’ll get much. My bets on Tzeench getting the lion share of new stuff and good rules.m

  7. A reliable rumor with some evidence suggests January is Seraphon, February is Kharadron, and March Tzeench. So this is it folks a few short months and it will finally be over and we'll know if GW listened to anything we have said about one of the worst armies in the game since near launch of it.

If this army is bad again perhaps for years before getting another shot then what is everyone's plans? Personally if it happens and having lots of my 40k armies and lore I love wrecked in 8th lol I'm likely going to quit GW entirely.

  8. Pfft worse than dwarves HAHAH. Big model ranges, good rules, and the KO and Fyre are getting scraps. 4 AoS armies eventually + legacy models. Always good rules. Nothing but spoiled elf in here.

Meanwhile KO are one of the worst army in the game for years same with Fyre. Yeah I can't say I have any sympathy at this point and I say that as also an Idoneth Deepkin player.

  9. Looking at what guts bring I can't bring myself to seeing people using BCR heavy armies. Likely a few key units. Honestly this is disappointing as a big BCR fan its like losing an army I love. Ah well as long as everyone else enjoys it. I just don't like the Guts style it feels a little too low fantasy for me.

  10. Looking at this book I kind of hate how little synergy the two factions have with each other. BCR leaders seem to only buff BCR stuff. Paying 340-400 points and its buffs don't synergize well with mawtribes basic unit which doesn't have beastclaw raider tag lol. I think this is a completely mid-tier book because of this.

  11. How does this look?

    Allegiance: Mawtribes

    Mawtribe: Winterbite

    Formation: Torrbad 120

    Leaders: Huskard on Thundertusk 340

    Trait Winter Bite

    Artifact Frostfang

    Prayer: Call of the blizzard

    Mount Trait: Rimefrost Hide

    Battleline

    6 Icefall Yhetee 220

    6 Icefall Yhetee 220

    3 Icefall Yhetee 110

    Thundertusk Raider 300

    Thudertusk Raider 300

    Thundertusk Raider 300

Sure, but a new Aelf army in 2020 is a good two years after Deepkin and Daughters. It's not implausible at all, especially with the big battletome drive almost over and the gradual accumulation of more Aelfy looking rumor engines.

For sure, we're not going to get Kurnothi, Hysh Aelves, and Ulgu Aelves all in the same year, but I think getting one of them is quite likely.

    Good point.

You think GW dont like KO  or their players? Are you being serious?

Given how uninspired our Shadespire warband was. Also the fact that at almost every opportunity they nerfed us into oblivion yes. The fact that when asked for Facebook feedback we were the top 3rd most upvoted/liked/whatever comment was how bad we were and in dire need of a fixing? Did we get a response from them in all these years? A simple acknowledgement of how bad we are or something? Every time they claim to "buff us or band-aid" our points they do it in just such a way that we never leave the position we are in because they do points changes on everyone else.

Yes I think until I see some cold hard evidence to the contrary GW does in fact hate us and I have a bad feeling our 2.0 book is going to be a rush job and have no models. Those are the cold hard facts and until I see otherwise I would advise everyone to stay way from KO.

yeah probably Battletome supplements for certain armies similar to the Space marine ones, Stormcast probably set stuff next year.

Seraphon are probably get a big release (similar to S2D) since their battletome has been push back the longest.

probably two  big army releases (Kurnothi and a new Destruction army)

it quite possible that biggest highlight for next year is 40K 9th edition though, but I think GW will still release a lot battletome next year because it Profitable

Do you think KO has any hope of getting a big release? By next year it will be 3 years since launch and 3 years of being one of the worst armies in the game lol. There was a brief period of about a month or two where they were too good but soon over nerfed into oblivion.  I realize Seraphon have been waiting longer and are in more dire of a need of new models but from a rules and existing models perspective they are way better off than us.

  15. Kharadron Overlords army has lots of issues and gaps that need filling. Huge issues and gaps. No good melee options, our firepower is weak, and lots of units are paying too much points for their multi-role status namely the Frigate and Ironclad. In the lore it’s been said they are innovators so it’s easy for them to get updated as they are always inventing stuff. Simple buffs will not be enough due to in lore how they designed these ships.

We need a new hero who makes another unit battleline, we need a basic melee troop, and more advance one. Finally a dedicated from the ground up combat ship would be fantastic no transport capacity. Then finally the obligatory terrain and possibly an endless spells style thing (endless machinery?) and we’ll be in a decent spot with some build diversity.

Will we get any of this? I doubt it. I have a feeling KO won’t get anything in our new book. GW is making it abundantly clear who they dislike.
