  1. I hope that it either gets removed, faction limited to those that can't cast, or something. It is bad enough that it punishs big magic armies, but it gives a real NPE when your playing a low or no magic army, and ally in one caster and suddenly you just wasted your points twice over, as your not only playing a weaker army and spend points on stuff outside of it, but the stuff also does not work right now.

I have a small question concering spells like the SCE comet being cast from outside of dispel range. How do BCR players deal with it? You spread your armies, or something. Because the comet did some brutal damge to me last three games. It is impossible to stop, unless my opponent fails to cast it on a +5, and blackets my whole army with mortal wounds.

Yeah, I've been seeing the new Sector Imperialis terrain in the Kill Team reviews, and that modularity is pretty nice. There's a few gears and wheels and stuff on it, but I'll probably still use is with AoS, it's not that far removed from KO stuff I guess, but azyrite ruins(or other fantasy terrain in general) with that kind of easy stackability would be pretty great. Of course I guess thematically it makes a little less sense in AoS since you don't have that sniper hiding in the second floor of the ruins for most armies, where as it's an easy thing to do in most of AoS.

I for one would enjoy a sniper nest for my thundertusk, they could even add some niffy rule to being on 2ed or higher floors, like +9" range or extra ap, if you don't move etc.

And extra mw done when a 9+wound model charges from that high up , unless he is elf or undead.

Since it has been advertised, I'm looking close to those new  imperium decors. The bad new is: how on earth did they add to all fronts of walls thoses tiny details of techo metallic things?

The good news is, you can build many things and if you don't paint those details, youi got your ruins and cathedrals, with high decors. You can hide those metalic details with some foliages, or some more ruins...

I'm planing to go this way for (mainly) AoS and will use for both AoS and 40K

A lot of hired KO and duradins?

GW mentioned a possibilityof AoS version of Kill Team and knowing that @bottle is working for them I have high hopes for it

I wonder how they will fit BCR in to that.  Maybe they will add some mid range monsters for BCR something between a stonhorn and a regular ogor.

Most people would be OK with that, but in a tournament it would usually be prohibited.

how different are they from each other, the crossbows look very simiular. Anyway people probablly won't mind it much, she won't play tournaments, and crossbow judas aren't world breaking good.

    Thanks everyone for the help.

  6. I have a question from a friend, that wants to start SCE, with the new models. He would like to get some tips for sequitors and evocators. Assuming he takes formations that buff them both, are swords or maces better for the sequitors. And the same with evocators should he kitbash great staffs, or go with the basic load out?

He wanted to ask about the bolt throwers too, he only has 2 and not hero to buff them, so he asks if he should keep them or sell them?

  7. I don't really play at tournaments, tried a few times, but it felt like am paying to lose 6 games and for prizes for other people. People in non tournament games don't want to use the artefacts, and the realm spells drop decision was a whole store decision. Most people don't care what cool stuff the realm stuff has, when is also brings the bad stuff. Plus GW did a their usual stuff they do when new editions comes, store owner ordered 10 magic expansions and 20 starters and 20 GH. Got 10 starters, 5 GH and 5 magic expansions. And we have 30+people playing the game here.

I hope GW brings out 2-3 battletomes soon, and when they are done with the tomes they designed before people got to play 2ed, they will write an Ogor/BCR one.

The funny thing was, that at my store the initial reaction was that BCR were going to dominate everything, there was a ton of salt about cheaper stones and tusks being thrown around. But then I showed people that at 2k points the points drop don't allow me to run the battalion I wanted to run, or get a butcher, and suddenly or the kill the BCR players whinning stoped.  It was bizzar to watch, because people within 2 weeks went from BCR too OP, to BCR still the worse battletome in game. Would be even more fun, if I wasn't a BCR player myself.

Why do they not use Realm Relics?  I am almost certain that most major tournaments are going to use those.

Because they would have to ok, the realm spells then and both the relics and the spells are considered too OP here. And it is not like I disagree with them, I played vs banishment a few times, and it is not fun.

I will ask around, people are generally very anti proxy around my store. And the box divide stuff sells for some crazy money, I saw someone 2/3 of the box cost, in our currency, just for the mirrors , the cogs and the balls thingy. when you want something people automaticly hike up the price here. Plus we only got 10 of those sets here, so it is not like there are many spare around.

  9. Nope, people here don't want to use the relics or realm rules from the spell box, only the big spells with models are accepted here.  I am still thinking about buying any butchers, I worry that maybe in a year or so GW will phase them out or replace with other models, and I don't want to end up with another 3 big models that are based or unusable.  I can't really use the endless spells right now, as I don't have the money to buy the expension, and even if I had the money I would probablly buy  butchers first. It is good to hear though that the swarm works, one of my friends bought the expansion and plays stormcasts told me  it is not worth the points.

  10. So guys, any success with any lists. I tried to play around with stonehorns, but they die just like thundertusks die back in 1st edition. Right now my main struggle is the MW, and people still playing horde. Some armies got smaller, but not that much. Plus suddenly I am facing magic a lot more often then I did before. I thought that maybe the realm stuff would fix stuff, but saddly people don't want to use any of the relics or realm rules, only the spells are accepted.

  11. Every grand alliance is a very wide term. I don't know, although I maybe very wrong here, if a wanderer player is super exited about new SCE models, and there is a ton of new ones incoming.

I do hope they will some gobo stuff, the model line seems very old with a few very nice models. Some spider riders, some new squigs maybe a unit or two, would be very nice.

  12. Isn't next year suppose to be w40k event year? Wouldn't it push the updates really far away for those armies planed for 2019, like the second half of the year or something?

The most boring one to play, indeed.

At least it would be fair.

  13. Ah, so SC and Night Haunt will get battletomes first. Kind of a understandable. Do people think that with the new edition and all, battletomes are going to be updated as fast as for w40k?  It is doable, and it would be cool I think to have all fully updated factions in a year or so, and they could stop making General Handbooks, because everything would be fixed.

GW keep us in suspense @blueshirtman. But you are at one of the best web sites out there for rumours of what's coming up. As for September, I think the only rumours I've read here are about Hosts of Slaanesh. Given we had Nurgle over Christmas maybe it will be a bit later. We don't really know though.

Ok, thank you.  So there is a chance that after the 2018 general handbook, GW may update old or make new battletomes this year. Does the demon chaos stuff count as both AoS and w40k release, or are they counted separate. So if they bring out slanesh demons, the next army is w40k, as they seem to be making more of those.
