It seems very good. If they make it so you have to sub to WH+ and pay to unlock the book rules as well then it will be trash. For now you can see all the rules and warscrolls on there for free. There is also a working army builder.
They are absolutely going to lock it behind those paywalls as I’m sure you’re aware. Paywalls don’t make something trash.
The app seems surprisingly good thus far. I’m sure errors and bugs will be found though

If the warcry warbands don't get marks I might just use them as marauders. Anyone foresee any issues with that? Just not a fan of the old sculpts.

Yeah I've no idea what GW are thinking here. Seems like a completely pointless restriction even ignoring the fact it breaks gnawholes. The intention is totally lost on me other than annoying everyone that uses faction terrain.

Beasts of Nurgle are 80, Maggoth lords are 240, sloppity and spoilpox are 90. Blight cyst also 200.

Those point suggestions look like they came from a player who knows next to nothing about Maggotkin and got touched inappropriately by a Thricefold list once.
Yeah, we aren't getting a new book anytime soon. Honestly if they just changed Blightkings to exploding on an unmodified 6 I'd be reasonably satisfied.

Even if those points are fake I don't know what the author was thinking RE the Maggotkin changes. Not that it matters, the book needs a substantial rewrite either way.

I don't really have much room. I do love Festus though. Fortunately the LoB can't be eaten as he has 7 wounds.

What do you make of my list below? I've got a 1500 point game against Stormcast with a potential stardrake. The idea is to introduce some rend with blight cyst and rustfang for a potential -2 save. The GUO will hang around with the big blob of plaguebearers buffing their attacks and debuffing with favoured poxes. He will stick about for ages with endless gift fingers crossed. I'm a little concerned about spending so many points on a battalion in a 1500 game but it should work.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like the Celestant prime gets a buff in the new battletome. Starts on 3 attacks plus some other new abilities.
Staunch defender now wholly within. I think it's the same range.
Lightening chariot reworked and renamed to translocation. Now counts as a setup, 9 inches from an enemy model. The translocated model is -1 to hit for that turn (not sure if battle round).

Narratively Stormcast should absolutely get summoning. If they want to balance out everyone should be able to summon.

They don't do start collecting sets on new model releases. It'll probably be in just under a year. Most of these nighthaunts will be in the new starter set next month though so still a bargain if you can split it with a friend or sell the stormcast.

An update has fixed some army building bugs I was seeing with battleline units.
