So any ideas about the mercenary companies? Maybe some seduced Dwarven warmachines to get some shooting? Or it is not really needed given our speed?

Aelves pretty much hate Chaos with the same fever that Elves hate Chaos in 40K. Which is to say that no sane aelf would EVER ally with Chaos EVER.
Malarion I think is a means toward having some draconic/chaos style models without them being tied to Chaos. Also don't forget he's the primary ruler of the realm of Shadow and an ally of Morathi and she is 100% as anti-chaos as you can pretty much get. She'd certainly never tolerate, let alone ally with him if there was even a whiff of chaos.
No he's not chaos, but at the same time he's in it for himself. We still don't know the real reason he gifted Sigmar the Arena where his Stormcast can train endlessly without harm or death.

Exactly that. They took ages to update Slaanesh because it is not popular, but when they do it's an incomplete update that it's not gonna entice new players because you are basically playing the same things you were already playing, so it keeps being less popular than the other Chaos gods, so it doesn't get updated, etc...
To me this update reeks of lazyness, and that kinda stings after all the years of Slaanesh neglection

Maths sir disagree with you.
50% save after save is 100% the same than 100% more wounds.
10 mortal wound done after save:
With the special save we only get 5 wounds so 5 models lost
With the 100% more wounds but lost the save after save we eat those 10 wound and loose 5 models
So it is 100% the same as maths tell us.sure we could faill every save after save but also we could save 100% of those saves, nobody who kmow stats would say that. It is a 50% chance
The truth is fyreslayers are getting a joke battletome that wont get them from mid\lower tier to god tier(or aos2 battletome tier)
That we know:
All the army have traded the 50% after save for 100% more wounds that is 100% the same
We are getting a +1 to hit one time per game in our axes but we have been nerfed from 4 hit and 4 wound to 5 hit and 5 wound. So we are getting a 15% nerf to our hit and wound in axes that is HUGE
Hearthguard getting double attacks is great sure, but they arent telling us how we have lost the attack twice of the battallion.so for people using the battallions we arent getting any buff.
Sure now we dont need run the battallion, also now we can field vulkites as 10 and not 30 but those are MINOR bufs that wont get us out of mid tier.
I hope we see some huge bufs in the terrain or points as the preview of today have been only lies(tell how we are great tank now with the extra wound but domt say how we have loose the special save etc)
Strange how you have access to the battletome already to know all about how the save doesn't exist anymore or how the battalion doesn't give extra attacks anymore.

If Mortals are not coming now I don't think they'll be coming at all, it would be really idiotic to release a Slaanesh battletome only to add new warscrolls like 6 months later

How are you getting one Evo to do 40 MWs with their lightning? Max would be 2
Edit: nevermind, I suppose you are advocating for having to have every Evo within 3" of another unit to be able to roll dice for MW

I can't speak to your sense of humour, but to me a warp lightning cannon vaporising a dragon and then exploding is both awesome and hilarious.
This is a game where it's possible for elite infantry to whiff every attack and kill nothing. Tactics, if they enter the equation, are secondary to chance. I'm hardly billing myself as the next Hannibal Barca here.
Never said you did, sorry if it came across as that, just wondering about the depth of the new battletome.

I'm just saying it doesn't seem like there is a whole lot of tactical thought involved

I swapped a couple of things out but it was basically the same as last time. This time, Skurrilious Maus was able to claim victory upon returning the clan burrow- and not be lying through his yellow teeth!
We played Take and Hold, the Stormcast bunkering down around their objective with a wall of Liberators surrounding a bastion of crossbow-wielding Vanguard. A Stardrake, a trio of characters and a unit of Vanguard Palladors rounded out the enemy army.
Skurrilious, taking advantage of some mystical terrain, promptly laid down the Warp Lightning Vortex, and this tore the heart out of the Stormcast defence, wiping out a unit of Liberators, a unit of Aetherwings and the Lord Castellant, and doing a lot of damage to the Stardrake and other infantry units. This didn't stop the Raptors essentially popping off any unit they felt like, but it did let a Warp Lightning Cannon overcharge (cheerfully blowing itself up in the process and kill the Stardrake before it could do much damage.
The Stormfiends were almost useless again, as were the Acolytes, but the newly-painted Doomwheel rolled over Liberators aplenty before getting shot to pieces by the Raptors. As the end of the game approached, Skurrilious skurried away, er, I mean bravely fell back to secure the Skaven objective (a deep-striking Stormcast hero had tried to secure it, only to get shot in the back of the head by Shirk Maus), while Boneripper stalked into the Stormcast deployment zone, summoning a second Warp Lightning Vortex to devastate the Raptors and kill the Lord Relictor. It was a near-run thing, but we decided the Skaven held the field.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it feels Warp Lightning Vortex did all the work, with maybe some help from the WLC? Doesn't feel very funny nor tactical (nor balanced) just rolling to cast it then rolling for overcharged WLC without much thinking about positioning or combat order, etc...? although maybe there was more to it?

*Cries in Stormcast*
*Cries in Gloomspite*
*Cries in Skaven*
So it's more like "half the battletomes released since 2.0 dropped (incidentally also Death and Chaos tomes, factions that traditionally have been able to summon) have had summoning"
And please don't call Gloomspite's terrain recursion or the pitiful Hammers of Sigmar gambling thing summoning.
-
Or you could just 3D print/order some adapters
-
Not all armies need to be able to summon, and it doesn't really fit KO, not even as reinforcements, as that excuse could be used for every army.

Well loo confirmed all old factions getting new tomes and probably new stuff. So odds of ko getting something sky rocketed.
All Grand Alliances, not necessarily all factions, although it's probable
