Only saying as spanish, this happened in a spanish tournament but it is something supported only for the tournament organizers and that dude team, every spanish people is against this and is the reason that many players refused to play against this dude.

Many of us gave our opinion against this in their social media but these organizers are a little special(i dont call them the word that start with r and end with d). Per example in this tournament they had rules against piracy.......and they didnt let players use these copys(some players played with 500\1000 less points in their army). This is fine and are rules that people must follow, but the problem was that many other players could play with his pirate minis because they were bougth to a store that was a supporter of the tournament,so many players with pirated minis couldnt played but if you had pirated minis bougth in the "gante" store that was a support of the tournament then even if the rules says that you cant use pirated minis in the tournament you could do with zero problems.

So these organizers were the fault and it isnt a "spanish" tournament,is fault of the people of "invasion talavera" and "cobrador del wagg" who were the organizers of this disaster of tournament.

Ohh btw this same tournament where people paid 60€ to play had some tables without tapet and only playing in a table in the bar with almost no ligth where many old peoples coulnt play because they cant see,but these organizers wanted be the proud(as they have been stating in every social media) organizers of the biggest warhammer tournament even if people paid to play in tables with no ligth and with (im not joking) painttables or even foodcans!!! As scenary and withput even a tapet

Except the minis sold by the associated store were NOT allowed neither, so don't spread misinformation and hate pretending you are against hate.

Not true, I can view the stats of any unit I haven’t bought the codex for (Orks, Grey Knights etc), however the abilities are locked

Ok, i can see how i wasn't clear: you can't access the warscrolls from books you havent paid for, so forget about checking other armies units.

I guess it will be just like the Orruk and Stormcast books.

Warscrolls are free, the rest will be unlocked with the code from the physical book.

So the same as in the old app. only now you get the digital rules free with the physical book

40k app requires a book code to check any given army's stats, I don't see why the AoS app would be different, specially seeing this return to absolute greediness from GW

While I agree save stacking with the current healing mechanics is nuts on bigger heroes, I have found that the simple solution is to kill whatever else is on the board and leave the typically single juiced up unit be. This is obviously easier for more mobile armies or shooting armies in general but you usually dont HAVE to kill that one unit the opponent piled multiple buffs onto.

This could work if the majority of battleplans didn't have the objectives pretty close to each other in the middle of the board (a smaller board too now)

  5. A paywalled (because paying astronomical numbers for the miniatures is not enough anymore it seems) broken game with wildly unbalanced factions. Seems it's time to find new pastures as every fear about 3.0 is coming true.

I wonder reading Powercreep here. We are in a new edition and these are the first new tomes to drop which will finally give an insight into what the devs want the new edition to play right now. Current Meta is a semi stable snapshot (as always btw) and this is now the start of a transition to what 3.0 is supposed to be played like.

Seeing a lot of Rend and Damage makes sense considering how they pushed 3+ saves with AOD and Mystic Shield. Looks like 3.0 is more loaded and this will for sure cause trouble during transition, as always. Seeing -1 rend beeing used way more often around and also seeing a broad range of -2 looks fine to me. I felt like GW was afraid to put Rend on anything in the 2.0 tomes. Factions with new tomes will propably have two ways of pushing through that 2+ armor which right now is kinda invincible. Having more units to cause Mortals and -2 Rend D2 hits really helps.

The problem with this is you should use either high rend or MW to balance buffed armor saves. NOT BOTH, and specially not both in the same army while other armies get none.

  7. I honestly don't think the AoS app is remotely close to finished so i highly doubt we are gonna get battletome preorders before the last weekend of September, and im not sure we will even then. This is probably one of the worst releases of a new edition i have ever seen.

  8. So it seems Rend is going up across the board. That would be good if it didn't take ages to release new battletomes for every faction, now if your faction is far from receiving a new battletome (hello, my fellow Hedonites) you are playing on hard mode (even more than before)

The delay between Dominion and the Tomes is actually less than Indomitus and the Codexes. It was a 3 month wait for those, whereas this is going to be 2 months.

Except you are wrong, unless you mean 2 months and a bit for 40k and presumably 3 months+ for AoS. What's making it seem longer is it actually being longer.

Also yes, Indomitus and the first Codexes were released at the height of the pandemic/Brexit in Europe.

Or it is the physical books holding back the app release.

The truth is we don't know for sure, although GW have said that it is down to supply issues. Which doesn't sound that unreasonable seeing as plenty of major UK companies are having issues with stock and transport. McDonalds, Nandos, Supermarkets, building suppliers, etc. all reporting stock shortages and some even closing branches. Toy stores already reporting that they expect shortages in the run up to Christmas as they cannot get the stock they need from China.

Do we have any evidence for it being the other way around and the apps delaying the physical books?

Then how come 40k books are not delayed?

I think that all armies follow one of the points below:

    • New Edition armies seems to recieve A LOT.  AoS 3.0 booklet has made a clear point that SCE are not just fighting Orruk Warclans, but Kruleboyz (even if they share the same battletome). So, expect something like Khorne, Nighthaunts, Death Guard or Necrons.
    • Micro-armies: Armies that have between 10 and 14 kits on release. (Idoneth, KOs, Fyreslayers, Ironjawz, etc...). Note: Old Fantasy armies were divided using the same pattern as new AoS ones, but since 2.0, they were grouped to be the exactly the same as Fantasy (or something really close).
    • Reused armies. Usually, they only recieve rules (Battletomes and maybe terrain, new endless spells, 1 new hero (or two) or nothing. (BoC, Seraphon, etc...)
    • Repurposed armies: Same as above, but with 5+ new kits . They become their own thing but still use some older units (Gloomspite Gits, Gravelords, etc...)
    • 2d wave armies: Armies that recieved some type of a second wave of minis. They come from any of the above points.(Slaanesh and Lumineth).
    • SCE

Except Kruleboyz is a micro-army/subfaction and not a full fledged army, it's just we didn't know it until they told us they didn't have their own battletome. Will GW expand them in the far future? Maybe, depending on sales, but I'm pretty sure it won't be this edition.

I'm more baffled at the idea that ironjawz and Bonesplitterz are left with less units than the newcomers.

Exactly this. I don't know why some people are sure they are getting a second wave when they are not even a faction but a subfaction.

Yes, you are no longer entitled to just pick your opponent's most valuable piece within your army's threat range and automatically delete it from the board.

OH, but you are, just not to the factions that are "entitled" to have heroes with good saves and multiple save bonuses. It just creates yet another have/have not feature for the game, which is BAD. Let me check how many 3+ save heroes do I get for my Slaanesh army... oh, wait, it's just Sigvald.

They seem to think AoS is 40k, but Rend in AoS is actually quite scarce and usually has low values; making it irrelevant while supposedly it still is taken into account when pointing units is also BAD. There is gotta be a middle ground between killing heroes easily and having unkillable heroes that ignore a foundation block of the game, and maybe being able to screen and block LoS against shooting and not letting shooting units shoot even while engaged could be a first step instead of creating untested aberrations and pushing MW sillyness even further, because if you solution is giving everybody big save monsters and MW spam then what's the point on having different armies. They have a perfectly valid system balancing save bonuses and Rend values, but of course that takes more testing work than just "lol, MW or GTFO, bro".

When Total War AoS arrives what they are going to do with old world? Because those players are the only base of money they can make, 9th players are known for spending the less possible and some old minis are impossible to buy through GW.

I still don’t know what they are trying to achieve with this.

0 reason to think there will be a TW AoS

I don't really understand what you're getting at. Sorry, might be a language barrier or I might've used the wrong words. I thought it came out in late 2022 or early 2023? Just saying that I think some minis will be cross-play. I could imagine that many S2D units and generic stuff like daemons will fall into that category.

If you read the article they basically said nothing is done yet and the game is a long way off, so I'm gonna go ahead and bet 2 years from now is not a realistic date at all, specially with the pandemic and stuff
