  1. Really surprised by these guys and how fresh they feel- mostly brilliant models and concept. Liking the quintesson style heads of the 4 armed dudes most. Curious how their rules will work- i can see tactical choices between say a 'duellist' personality with a great to hit and rend, and another more bloodthirsty one with a tonne of attacks perhaps

  2. Always hated that phrase. Class A drugs are not a joking matter...

    BTW anyone who has seen the increases, are they just in line with inflation or are we talking actual hikes? Too much can definitely backfire- always remembered the finecast arrival, where they had a steep metal price which had been making their minis increasingly expensive and then added an extra 10% or so on what was agreed to be an inferior product

  3. Lots of people planning Rockgut rather than Fellwater, but the Fellwater warscroll does seem better for the price in almost all situations. Rule of cool? I do wish these had been balanced more as the Rockgut troll models are awesome..perhaps 3 attacks for them would have done it?

  4. I do wish Seraphon had had a warband- they have a huge range but their saurus warriors are so old. A warband of say 4/5 easily convertible new saurus with features more like the oldblood on carnosaur would gave allowed you to build a seraphon army with just new decent miniatures.... Oh well.

    PS although there are no aelf warbands per se, tree revenants at least look pretty damn aelvish to me!

  5. Following on from the painting quality discussion, the endless spells are from a chinese manufacturer, unlike the usual miniature range, and so you could expect the final product to differ - the unpainted plastic certainly looks less detailed and is a different colour too

  6. Wow great models- flying wraith guy especially. Lady Olynders damage output is obscene. Do love Nagashs 'ironic punishment' mentality. I think i would probably become a wraith, sitting on a pile of cake, but having not been given a mouth....

    Apparently, from this video :

    Future 2018-2019 AOS releases may be :

    Moonclan, Slaanesh, Darkoath and some sort of "robot cog army" ;

    That would be something like the mechanic units mentioned (cog-haulers, cog-forts, mechanical striders) here alongside Free guilds : https://malignportents.com/story/iron-and-oak/

    It would also fit the Ironweld Arsenals archetypes and "new normal but fantasy humans" demands for AOS ; maybe those guys in "bronze armor" facing the Darkoath are hints of this faction.

    Oh man i hope there is a 'cog robot' line - i dont play it, but ive always loved the warjacks from privateer presses game (heard model quality is an issue). Similar style for Age of sigmar would be ace.

    Only issue is Order gets all the best toys!

  8. More death and destruction are definitely needed- flesheater courts could work well and provide good courtier models; an ogor warband would be a tricky one to balance though- maybe a maneater and three gnoblars? However, i played marienburg in mordheim for so long that i would love a free peoples warband - just a bunch of nornal dudes thinking 'what the **** am i doing here!'

  9. I expect a Nighthaunt battletome in a few months based on clues so far; they also have mostly modern kits and only really need a couple of warscroll changes e.g. malignant to Nighthaunt. A new battleline would be nice, or they may try to use existing kits like they did with FEC and beastclaw. I imagine spirit hosts are only a monobuild (but could be painted seperately?) but could hexwraiths/blacknights  be melded to made a different unit ? Even cairn wraiths as a unit, possibly using a specific face, would work....
