Quick lore question. Didn't Nagash himself state that Vlad was the greatest vampire or at least the best Carstein?
-
It looks more reptilian in my opinion, and it appears to have a hole, and reptile ears are generally holes. I believe it to be some form of mount or warbeast, and in that regard... Destruction.

I do not really see it. Make a big deal of a long running Campaign about Death and Shysh, then at what is likely to be the height of that Campaign release the Aelves of Hysh and Uglu? That would be so jarring, I can almost see GW do it.
I think it is good to keep in mind that none of the correct predictions where awefully hard to guess. We had plenty of hints for all three by early November. Guess the most likely stuff for the next months, then predict something entirely out of the left field for the longer term is an established pattern of false rumors.
What if the return of Nagash and the rise of Death spur all the Aelves(and their gods) to action?

Well he puts a smile to my face regardless.
Every time someone makes a joke out of Stormcast they get another model. Its quite funny to think about it.
Jokes aside I am not so much a fan of this model. Adding more diversity to Stormcast is okay but its so clearly an Empire Engineer in a half Stormcast suit that I dont understand why Sigmar would reforge him like this.
Even in ultra fantasy carpenters or engineers dont use two hammers at the same time and carry all their tools.
Id much rather have him with scrolls like the video art. But thats just me.
If I got him, he'd just be a proxy for Rogal Dorn.

Who works for Nagash
Is he also the Mortarch of The Heavens?

Maybe it's just me, but the moon reminded me of the moon from Fantasy, Morrslieb, which was connected to dark events. Obviously not much to go on, but its an idea.

Anyone see the new Black Library article on the community site?
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/12/06/coming-black-library-near/
Mentions how in the new Undying King novel for Nagash, Nurgle is launching an assault of Shyish, and how it's people are looking for the return of their king.

Honestly, waiting for the Daemons Codex makes much more sense than a Death Guard tie in. This gives them the ability to update and tie in all Nurgle-related material. I eagerly wait for "Nurgluary", and I hope it brings us Nurgle Slug-cavalry.

Interesting comment I picked up over the weekend off Twitter...
The timing works out for an Aelf release in 2018.

Related to the long black library post, near the end it mentions a new AOS trilogy pend by Nick Horth, found some new info, Called Callis and Toll: Silvershard extending the story of characters from City of Secrets. Found a blurb at http://www.hugendubel.de/de/buch/nick_horth-warhammer_age_of_sigmar_callis_und_tol-30496965-produkt-details.html (translated)
"Witch hunter Hanniver Toll and former release soldier Armand Callis are following Ortam Vermyre, the treacherous judge of the city of Excelsis. Together with dangerous corsair queen Arika Zenthe and ace fish treasure hunter Shev Arclis, they must brave the dangerous waters and jungles of the Claw Coast to stop Vermyre before he reaches the lost city of Xoantica. In their forgotten ruins lies the silver shard, an artifact from another world with the power to change reality itself. If she falls into the hands of the arch-traitor, the fate of Excelsis and perhaps even all of the great Sigmar towns in Ghur - the realm of the beasts - is at stake"
Is the silver shard from another realm or the world-that-was? This would have potential lore ramifications.

umm... what?
Like, I love Gotrek and Felix (or at least, definitely used to), but I really don't get this. Bringing back Old World characters just... feels weird. It's bad enough that they kept the Mortarchs around on the basis of 'Nagash remembered them into existence, and they're well... Undead'. Or Kroak for that matter, who was definitely destroyed in the End Times. Next it'll be revealed that Karl Franz is actually the leader of the Free Peoples as a way to have it make sense that some of the Free Peoples iconography has Karl Franz on it.
Dunno, I guess we'll have to wait and see. But I'd prefer to see more original characters of the mortal realms, even if it's a similar style book to Gotrek and Felix (buddies not-buddies roaming around the mortal realms).
I thought Gotrek became one of the Dwarf gods?

You'd think GW would at least have a database of names they'e already copyrighted so they don't reuse it.
The funniest example is the Seraphon sharing a name with Malekith's dragon, and that renaming never being explained.
-
I believe it's been mentioned before, but I'm mostly content still collecting my own army(Seraphon) and trying to develop a community of players in my area. If GW wants to play cautious, then we should wait for the end results. While model-wise we haven't gotten the best deal in the 2nd half of 2017, we've been fairly gifted bookwise. Skirmish, Path to Glory, new Fiction, GHB2017, Firestorm. We have enough written material to make the game feel fresh in many ways.
