  1. With both pictures together, it kind of looks like pods releasing spores or gas into the air. I'm actually curious if this is a Grot itself or a Fungoid Squig/destruction creature. The Cave Shaman already has a fungus motif and his spell is spore themed, so I can't see another spore-centric character, and I think it looks to big for infantry. I'm going to hazard the guess of Fungal artillery of some sort from a Squig.

  2. If I can swing back to the Malign Portents story, this isn't the first time we've heard of cog forts, no? What if like the Kharadron, Humans in the setting are made to be more deliberately steampunk, except where the KO use ships and such, the Freeguild/Ironweld utilize constructs and walkers?

Well I was worried that Rogue Trader game would come next month and obscure the AOS news but it's for late 2018 :D

There is a positive to that. It means that Warhammer Fest could reveal news for the rest of 2018.

I’d think it’s almost certain the 30 or so factions with battletomes and/or allegiance abilities will not be dropped.

Theres absolutely no precedent as of now for units to get dropped anyway, but factions with heavy development would never be dropped.

This. If they've given your army some form of love, with a book, allegiance abilities, and mentions in the lore, then take a breather.

Furthermore, if we take the Heralds from Malign Portents at face value, then Moonclan, Nighthaunt, and Slaves to Darkness have all received new units in AoS, and why would they add models to factions they will get rid of? If you play Aelves, look at Daughters of Khaine. They could easily do something similar with Phoenix Temple or Order Draconis.

I feel that GW is making a common sense business decision, which is to honor the past while also providing a pathway for fans to still get models that aren't going to be produced anymore. They have to grow AoS, which inevitably will lead to older models falling by the wayside.

  5. I feel bad for the Destruction players who got no nods. Maybe they'l do a Battletome to tie into the Orks Codex?

Deepkin are visually stunning, one of the best examples of the possibilities of Age of Sigmar.

More Death is always good, even if it's a spooky purple ball that reminds me of a certain Pokemon.

Please no Stormcast Wizards, they honestly don't need magic when they are the best supported faction and have stuff to counter wizards.

  6. Age of Sigmar will likely see Idoneth Deepkin, and hopefully Death. But when it comes to major announcements, what would be bigger than a dual announcement based on the Dark Prince? Codex: Emperor's Children and Battletome: Hosts of Slaanesh, featuring the all new plastic KoS, plastic Fiends, and for 40K, Fulgrim himself!

Probably a pipe dream, but still.

  7. Limited ads and donations both sound good to me. Subscriptions would be alright depending on the cost and the benefits. I don't know how to feel about Patreon or Kickstarter. Patreon would make more sense if this was more than an online forum, like if we organized games and set up an online store, at which point we would be an AoS MiniWarGaming.
