Again-there’s four new models and a tome.. I predicted a new unit, units traditionally bring made up of at least 5 models, so expected at least 5 or 6 plus some heroes. It’s right there.  Unless you’re going to tell me when I said new unit I actually meant a monopose unit or something.

Keep it up though. I can’t fathom quite why people are so interested in my predictions but it’s sonething to do I suppose.

Apologies to everyone else looking for some rumours but I’m not going to let people try and demean me and not respond.

I didn’t mean to make you feel that I was demeaning you. I apologise for that entirely.

So what next after slaanesh n fire stunties?

No I didn’t. I said many times that Slaanesh wouldn’t be released but that a Seekers faction would be. Prove it where I said that no Slaanesh models would be coming out this year. I don’t want to make this thread about me but if you’re going to call me out for something then either do it accurately or move on.

Yes you did. A wise man once said (me), that if you say the sky is pokerdot it does not mean it is true.

I apologise if I caused any offence however :D

And I was right, what’s your point? I said numerous times that I didn’t expect a major release for Slaanesh but that I did expect a quasi “Seekers” faction with a few new models leading up to Slaanesh’s eventual release. For all evidence we have that’s exactly what Hedonettes are.

In what way was I wrong?

You said many times that it wouldn’t happen this year my friend. This is just one of the posts ;)

All I am saying is, the lore of slaanesh being imprisoned has nothing do with a release or what is/isn’t released. It may be the case that slaanesh gets nothing more than the hero’s that have been shown, which would be a little strange. Still fine by me, but a little strange.

In regards to your seekers theory, it’s been confirmed the sub factions are godseekers, invaders and pretender.

    👆🏻(God)Seekers is a sub-faction.

  4. 54 minutes ago, Nos said:

It’s not the whole of Slaanesh, just a subfaction who represent its growing power. When Slaanesh is released from his/her/it’s prison I would expect an associated army with Mortal followers.

But probably be at least a year + before that happens I would have thought. I’m not expecting that to happen until 3.0.

At the start of the year you said, “Really think you’re down a blind alley with Slaanesh. Too early.  They’re not going to release two big new factions in Gloomspite and Darkoath and then risk them being overshadowed a quarter later with a long awaited member of the pantheon.

They’re going to let the Soul Wars saga breathe and continue to populate the realms with unique factions and better realise the existing ones  for another year. Then it will be Slaanesh and the Ulgu folks.”

Not sure why you felt, or feel this way. I said the same to you then, and I say it now - I assure you that the liberation of slaanesh isn’t a factor that will dictate slaanesh release’s.

Still don’t think Slaanesh is breaking free.

Predicted a while back that it would  probably be done in stages with a “Seekers of Slaanesh” type release first and I’m sticking to my guns.

Slaanesh can have a full faction release without the gods actual presence. None of the gods bar nagash are actually present in the game.

I wouldn't exactly call them the 'focus of underworlds' they just got a war band.

And then I just think of Warcry as part of the 'massive model and book release', in the way that Speed Freakz was really just part of the big Ork push last year (I think it will be clearly much more of a genuine standalone game that will be supported for a while unlike SF but it will do the same trick of getting models out there).

As I've said before my expectation is we'll probably get Warcry pithing the next few months, a good few, if not all, of the additional war bands and then after those are released they'll do a combined StD/Everchosen/Darkoath battletome, at which point the accompanying model release wouldn't necessarily have to be ridiculously massive and you'll have lots of people already with the bare bones of a new army to reel in.

Anyway I'm probably wrong about this, so we'll just have to wait and see!

Of course I meant focus of warcry :D

Fair enough though. As I say just speculating.

  7. Just throwing this out there - entirely speculative... but what if dark oath don’t get a full release (at least not yet). Seems a bit much them basically being the focus of warcry, getting an underworld warband AND getting a massive model and book release all together

Are we likely to see Slaanesh near Xmas like with the other big chaos releases or will we see it sooner ?

Haven't heard many references surrounding the release.

Khorne abs skaven came out in spring(ish) 😂😂

They didn’t. They were mentioned in a roundabout way relating to the narrative of Soul Wars. They didn’t say a Slaanesh army will be released.

I’m expecting a few models maybe, probably a character or some such, but I really doubt they will be here til very end of year, unless they’re just getting a redux ala FEC-Book, spells, nothing else. Which I sincerely doubt. They’re too central to the narrative of AOS to just get a functional update.

    You’re right, technically they said,

“While Slaanesh may still be mysteriously absent from the Mortal Realms, his servants have been very busy indeed – we daresay that Wrath and Rapture heralds even more new models for the Hosts…”

I mostly agree with you here, but that's precisely why I think Slaanesh is end 2019 or early 2020, after STD.

2019 looks like the "Year Of Chaos Undivided" with Black Legion, Warcry, Traitor Guard in BSF ; so Slaves To Darkness seems logical, and thats without counting the MP Herald-Underworld Warband-Full army release trend...

Also, there was no full army release for any AOS army that didn't get a MP Herald : between Sacrosant, Nighthaunt and Gloomspite Gitz, there was only "filler weeks" / Battletomes with Faction Scenery / Endless spells and maybe 1-2 characters (Khorne Daemons being an exception, because 40k compatible I guess).

I think it's obvious Slaanesh will get a full army release, with Mortals, Greater Daemon, etc. ; so they should come after STD, the end of the Soul Wars narrative arch with Forbidden Power, and the Aelves of Ulgu - Hysh releases, i.e. at least end 2019...

Then (and thats appropriate here), GW release pattern is quite ... chaotic, so we'll have to wait for 27th March & Adepticon for the next sets of predictions :D

There’s always an element of wishful thinking behind people’s predictions of future releases, and my predictions are no different.

Gw confirmed that slaanesh will be coming in 2019, it’s just a case of when. If it’s end of 2019 that will mean it’s been a year between wrath and rapture and a slaanesh tome which I see as being unlikely. If everything is based on trends, slaanesh would have been released months ago (based on blightwars and maggotkin).

Well in terms of trends it is we had the 3 others armies from Malign Portents having their Heralds + Underworlds bands + army release ; Darkoath currently have Herald +Uunderworld warband, they just miss the army release.

Between Warcry, Scourage of Fate, the multiplication of "soup" battletomes, the importance of Archaon in the narrative, a Slave To Darkness (new Darkoath models, current STD range, Everchosen) tome is guaranteed sooner than later.

Slaanesh (40k/AOS) should come later, because :

    - For AOS, Slaanesh is a very determinant event in the fluff (not saying Slaanesh army  elease means Slaanesh escape, but a Slaanesh tome would mean having to explain many things on Hysh and Ulgu and the other Aelf factions, which are not coming so soon regarding what GW said of army releases this year).

    - For 40k, why not, but having Emperor's Children and Fulgrim (lots of teases in the fluff indeed) right after Black Legion seems problematic.

I see where you’re coming from. However the darkoath underworld band hasn’t even been released yet. I can’t remember how much time there was between the Gloomspite gits band and their eventual faction release. If darkoath get a release date at adepticon the time range of Gloomspite gits may point towards a release schedule for darkoath.

In regards to Slaanesh, i believe it will be sooner than a full darkoath release. Slaanesh are very much involved with factions already released as part of the soul wars story arch.

I think we’ll see the new aelves youre referring to released towards the end of the year/very early next year, which will herald the end of the soul wars story arch.

    I wish (sorry, unbelievers) :D

But we know we'll get Black Legion, Warcry, Darkoath and Slaanesh this year (from GW's own mouth) ; I don't see them release ALL that between now and the summer..... (Knowing specialist games and Primaris wave 2 must be coming soonTM too...).

Not sure if a Darkoath is a certainty this year (beyond the underworld release). I agree it’s very likely but can’t remember it being 100% confirmed.

Please keep in mind that tools of this kind are generally used by people who are new to the game.

    👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻

Why this has turned into a debate about who’s opinions are more viable I don’t know.

The original article was one that discussed the mechanics of things like piling in and charging - not tournament winning formulaes but more of an explanation for people more new to the game.

Please note also that this game at its root is a narrative game. To teach someone tactics in the game you don’t need to win tournaments. It’s also worth pointing out that doing well at tournaments is as much about list writing and decent matchups as it is about tactical skill.

    Khorne is confirmed next

We'll also see Slaves to Darkness and Slaanesh some time this year

Then we will probably also get battletomes (with endless spells, maybe terrain, maybe a new hero) for every faction on the ageofsigmar.com website

True although I can’t see chaos being released in succession. Whispers talk about a faction with an incredible bunch of rules following khorne, but what??

How about a little bit of wishlisting on LVO announcements?
I would love to hear what you guys expect to be announced or what you at least would wish to hear of :)

A few snippets that tease towards an large slaanesh release in the next month n half.
